Ben Swann leaving Fox 19 News

Anchor Ben Swann will leave WXIX-TV “to explore other opportunities” when his contract expires at the end of May. He says he’s close to announcing his new gig.

“After 2 ½ years at WXIX Fox 19, the time has come for me to explore other opportunities,” he said in the station announcement

“As for my plans moving forward, I am currently in talks for some very exciting projects. Over the next few weeks I look forward to sharing those details.”

Swann has developed a large following online for his Ben Swann – Full Disclosure Facebook videos ( http://www.facebook.com/BenSwannFullDisclosure and http://www.youtube.com/user/BenSwannRealityCheck ), which are similar to his Fox 19 Reality Check reports.

There was a post about carrying the Founder's torch

I'm carrying a torch for Ben... lol! No, what I was going to say is, Ben does a fine job of carrying that torch, I hope he has found a way to become the wind to rekindle the grassfire... it never goes out.

This is the article that got my posting privileges revoked:

I really like this Guy!

I hope the future brings him much success and that maybe he can reach even a greater audience with his truth. He is a refreshing news broadcaster.

A few hours later this happened:

"Gold is the money of kings; silver is the money of gentlemen; barter is the money of peasants; but debt is the money of slaves."

I Would

I would like to see him as the head anchor of RT news with Abbey Martin.

That would kick ass.

Umm I would not be surprised

.. if he does not have MUCH better opportunities, maybe more than one.

There is a bright future for him - probably has to fight off offers.

A new home for Ben?

There's a new libertarian news network coming Fall 2013. Here, Judge Nap's former producer Austin Peterson does an interview with the woman behind it:

I have missed you

From the end of May I will be following you again. Please don't get mixed up with another mainline news like fox. As soon as I recognize I am on fox I change the channel.

But you are in a much better class. I look forward to being with you again.

Ben Swan

For president.

Can you imagine an oval office State of the Nation with this guy behind the desk? Just calling it out loud.

Peoples jaws would be dropping all over the place.

Will Have to Learn How

To update his Wikipedia entry when he lands at his new home for Journalistic integrity.

Update Ben Swann on Wikipedia Project:

All the best to you Ben down the road.

Watching Ben Swann is a pleasure but if every one of his news segments is now going to accompanied by a long drawn out intro of Ben watching that old TV from Jeremy Richter's video "Elektable" along with having to watch cool guy Jeremy Richter himself smoking a cool cigar... the whole thing becomes way too cool for me to stomach.

Bring out the hot chicks wrapped in American Flags... let's get rid of any last shred of dignity in any news person.

Good luck Ben!

Look At the Young Turks...

Look how popular an internet "political" channel can do. The market is there.

Screw sports and the weather forecast!

With Ben Swann, Ron Paul, Andrew Napolitano, John Stossel, Peter Schiff, and weekly invited guests, there could be a helluva tv/internet/radio show. Current events(that actually matter), politics, health, and finance, could all be covered. Okay, I'll wake up now.

its the Dream Team

Yup. They Make A Better Round Table

...than Fox's "The Five"

Please take the time to vote, he's slipping a little :-(

Go Ben!

I'll follow Ben wherever he goes. Full Disclosure and Reality Check are full of nothing but facts.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

I have a feeling

that Ben Swann might be working with Jeremy Richter, of Richter studios (he helped put together the Ben Swann Full Disclosure videos and did the "Elektable" short film). Jeremy Richter mentioned on Facebook this week that he was meeting up with Ron Paul on Saturday for the first time. And now Ben Swann quits? Me thinks, something really cool is about to happen.

I think I was onto something

Okay, now THAT is funny :)

You guys are very perceptive:

oh schnapp, haha

For some reason I just connected the dots this morning, I guess. Good luck Jeremy.

"Gold is the money of kings; silver is the money of gentlemen; barter is the money of peasants; but debt is the money of slaves."

He's like the next John

He's like the next John Stossel... or he could even go into politics.

thanks for the link

Ben: Please don't say Fox News is your next job.

You will be silenced if you go there.

Ben's already on local Fox...

but syndication won't want him because he's too honest and he won't tow their line, like that overgrown leprechaun and O'Criley. He would get the heave ho just like the judge.
