America's Death Zones: Where NOT to be when it hits the fan

America's Death Zones: Where NOT to be when it hits the fan

As the potential for a globally destabilizing event becomes ever more probable, many concerned Americans are starting to wonder where they’d go if the worst were to happen.

To help answer that question, we can start by identifying the areas of the country to avoid.

The following map of the United States takes into account all of the gun related deaths since the Sandy Hook school shooting. You’ll likely notice that there is one common denominator. The majority of the violence has occurred in major metropolitan areas, with some incidents spreading into outlying ex-urban and rural areas. As of this writing 2,244 people have been killed since December of 2012.

Tennessee is the Best East of the Mississippi

If you watch the "Strategic Location" movie in my post (a few posts below) Skousen explains why Maine is not that good and Tennessee is better than average. You really want to be in the Rocky Mountain west (excluding most of Colorado and any major city)

Best Little Plutonium Horror House in Tennessee!

Emergent hazards of the nuclear weapons industry and the advent of nuclear energy

The nuclear resources required for building atomic bombs were enormous. Plutonium production reactors and uranium centrifuges reached from the Hanford Site in Washington to Oakridge Tennessee, and from Cumbria, England’s Windscale facilities at the Sellafield site to Russia’s Mayak Chemical Combine in the Southern Ural, Arzamas-16 near Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnoyarsk-26 in Siberia and further east to innumerable unnamed “closed cities” for nuclear scientific research. Nearly all currently stand in shambles, and have caused, especially in the case of Russia, irreparable and ongoing environmental damage. ...
The launch of the program was further been hobbled by US’s eradication of plutonium immobilization under the administration of George W Bush. As the US presses ahead with its disposition through MOX plan, several tons of plutonium were moved to South Carolina – over the state government’s vociferous protests – for fabrication into MOX at the Savannah River Site’s $4.8 million facility. The plnat is expected to begin operations in 2016.[1]Efforts to use Duke Energy and Tennessee Valley Authority reactors to burn US fabricated MOX, have been pummeled by protests. ... Nonetheless, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) intends to push ahead and begin using the controversial fuel by 2018.[2] The late timetable is so the TVA can study the effects of the Fukushima disaster on MOX fuel burned there. 1 minute conclusion.

Map via HuffPo. Gun scariness amplified. Oh my it's all red!

I'm torn between taking this as a grain of salt or a POS.

The real map is the potential disasters at the nations nuclear power plants. Almost all have cooling tanks filled to over 100% design capacity.

The riots in Detroit and Watts were government sponsored events. Kinda like the Underwear bomber. The greatest danger is the government and their armed thugs. Whose interest are they here to protect.

Free includes debt-free!

what a cheerful post! LOL!

Joel Skousen's book "Stretegic Location": The Bible of Survival

Your article here nailed it dead on. It's all about population density when you need to survive a disaster. Joel has both a book and a film on this very topic and how to plan ahead. Here's the movie:

and here's the book:

Here are some other interviews that get into the nuclear war scenario (which, unfortunately, we are probably headed into). Each is well worth watching:

There's no place like home. Everyplace has its risks & dangers.

People exposed to radiation, particularly the significant amounts of radiation generated by the nuclear weapons tests, are at risk for certain cancers and other serious health problems. Consider, "Life on the Mississippi."

Wow. Looking at the map of all gun deaths since Sandy Hook.

I am amazed at how many of them occurred in the middle of Lake Michigan. The red blotch doesn't even show a slight lightening in the vast are of the lake, like it does in Northern Wisconsin. The line of death just goes from Milwaukee to Detroit - hundreds of miles over open water.

Since there haven't been that many boats of those frozen waters in the past few months I am guessing that ice fisherman are luring ordinary folks on to the lake and slaughtering them in the hundreds!

Unless, of course, the map is just really bad. (I am guessing the map is really bad.)

How do we know or not if the

How do we know or not if the SHTF already in south Chicago and New Jersey and the rest of the nation is just lagging behind?

The comments on that page are hilarious!

Starts with this and gets better: I just wanna at least live long enough to know my ex is dead. Anything after that is gravy.
