These guns are becoming a problem

They ( seem ) to go off anywhere they are ?!?!?!

Guns going off by themselves what what what ... There ought to be a law !!!

( end sarcasm )

An ordinary evening of work for a few employees in Gonzales, LA quickly became a terrifying experience one night in March.

According to police reports and witnesses, an off-duty Gonzales Police Officer was at a strip club in Gonzales, LA on March 13, 2013. The police report states the officer, Chase Delatte, walked into the men's restroom around 1:38 a.m. to check if his personal firearm in an ankle holster was loaded.

The Glock handgun accidentally fired, according to the report.

The police are the most trained, least qualified idiots.

Cops tend to be the type of people who can not hold a real world J O B.

They are the class idiots who could not follow directions or pay attention; not because they were bored, but because it was way over their head.

Every day is a new day for most cops. They are the most simple of the less qualified, lacking basic memory and capable of few applied skills.

It is not surprising to me that they can not handle a modern firearm safely even with all of the builtin safety and de-cocking mechanisms.. they still manage to shoot themselves and others with these otherwise safe guns.

Why is our government putting guns in the hands of these idiots. I met another one today and this cop was truly a danger to society if he ever has to unholster his weapon.

Another honrable man in blue

Just wanted to make sure that before he shook down the dancer for a BJ his gun was loaded.

He didn't know if the gun in his holster was loaded?
Does anyone believe this for a second?
The time to check the fire arm to see if it is loaded is when you secure the weapon in its holster.

He was up to no good and the gun discharged. Someone called 911, a dispatch was made and since it will show up on the blotter a story had to be developed. The reporter that authored the article probably has DUI pending that will now go away.

The LAW in America.

Liberty = Responsibility

for all the comments. I had to laugh.

glocks don't "accidentally" fire

the police officer just doesn't know how to handle a weapon. There is no way a glock can fire without the trigger being pulled. There is a firing pin block physically preventing the striker to spring forward and strike the bullet. The firing pin block can only be depressed when pulling the trigger.

An instructor once told me most cops are terrible at handling firearms. I bet they can eat the sh!t out of some doughnuts though.

those damn Glocks!

Oh, I'm SURE

he wasn't drinking. A responsible "peace" officer at the strip club accidentally firing his weapon - totally sober.

Aren't you supposed

To look down the barrel to see if it's loaded, officer.
