Getting Fred Thompson supporters --- the only other candidate who mentions FEDERALISM

Am I the only one who thinks we could be successful recruiting Fred Thompson supporters to Ron Paul after Fred drops out?

I know Thompson is strongly in favor of the war, however, this issue aside, he is probably the closest person to Ron Paul in terms of fiscal responsibility and his support of smaller federal government. I seriously can't remember the last time I heard McCain, Romney, Huckabee, or Giuliani mention "federalism" but Fred speaks about it regularly.

Any thoughts? It seems to me that Thompson supporters are in large part evangelicals (whatever that means), but the more reasonable ones that vote on social issues AND economic ones. I think they could be convinced.
