Just Met Ron Paul!

Wow! I just met Ron Paul in person at the Cincinnati Homeschool Convention. I shook his hand, and he signed my copy of "The Revolution: A Manifesto."

This night was awesome, but I was admittedly a little nervous to meet him.

I took a few pictures, too:

First time seeing him in person.

Really jealous you got to meet him. The ole' back door trick. Wish I would have done that! Had the golden ticket though, believe third row sitting on the end, clear view of Dr. Paul. Can't recall who said it, but I would have guessed that there was way more than 500 people there. I was thinking close to 2k?? They were video recording his speech, keep hoping to see it pop up somewhere.

Did anyone get the flyer that some Ron Paul fans

were passing out? They took pics of everyone and it might be on their site.

Simpson Eh?

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

I was there with a gold ticket. I didn't know you could meet him personally. How did you pull that off? I might put up some video I took which was very little because I wanted to concentrate on him talking lol.

I was wondering the same

I was wondering the same thing. We had 2 gold tickets. The only person I saw shake his hand, from the audience, was the little girl. I would have loved to have shaken his hand. I too, took some video, mostly early, and shut it off to listen.

Well, as he left, I sort of

Well, as he left, I sort of snuck behind the back doors to see him.

No comments on the event?

I am disapoint....

But thanks for the pictures!

Vintage Ron Paul. He spoke a lot about the importance of Home Schooling. He also spoke to corruption in Gov't, his new curriculum, foreign policy, etc... It was a pleasure to, finally, see him in person.

So happy

This is REAL religious persecution, it would be sick if this country cannot protect this family!!!

Daughter of 1776 American Revolutionists

I was there too!!

I was 3rd row front and center. Awesome!!!

I Envy You!

I lived in Texas for almost 18 years and never got that pleasure! I have been by his office in Galveston numerous times and missed out even then!

Galveston, TX

Drove 50 miles from Houston to see that place. Whata dump.

So RP doesn't work out of Clute/Lake Jackson?

I Am Not Sure WHEN You Saw Galveston

But when I lived in Houston it was really nice. That was before the last hurricane and several moons ago though. The district office was in Galveston but RP lives in Clute.

I had to drive 30 miles to

I had to drive 30 miles to see his presentation, but I would never forgive myself if I didn't make an effort to see him with him being that close.

30 whole miles? lol!

I grew up near Cincy (Glendale.) Driving to Dayton was something we never did, it was too far (about 45 miles.) I also lived 15 minutes from work, but it would take me an hour to get there during rush hour.
Then I moved to Idaho. Now I drive 60 miles one way to buy raw milk. It is funny how distance is perceived differently in urban versus rural America.
Glad you got to see him and meet him, and I am glad he still has star-struck fans!

Love or fear? Choose again with every breath.

Lucky you!

Love that man.

How many folks were there?

I'd say at least 500, maybe

I'd say at least 500, maybe more.

There were at least 2000

There were at least 2000 people there. I was there with my wife. We were there for the convention. The best question of the night was the little girl who offered up her m&m's to Dr Paul.

Ron Paul was in Ohio tonight?

Does anyone have a link to his speaking schedule so that this doesn't happen again?

He's speaking at Oberlin College in Ohio tomorrow but you

may have to try to get a ticket through their ads or go early and see if there is room. I think the tickets were handed out but someone said they got one by asking in an ad.

He's speaking on 'Liberty Defined' tomorrow. There is a thread at rpf of the events we know of, and I try to post them here, but once they fall off the page you don't see them, or at least I don't know how. Here's the ones I know of but even so we didn't know about his trip to Chile where he spoke with Jim Rogers and Nigel Farage and Schiff et al until it was over. The man seriously needs a central calendar:

Lucky you. I would probably stutter if I met him!
