I'm confused. Are Evangelicals Christians?

Personly I don't think they are. They hate everyone who is not like them. I remember reading in the Bible that Jesus taught love and not hate, especially people who are different.

Per LDS, Joseph Smith not Jesus determines who goes to #1 heaven

Funny you'd ask if Mormons go to heaven since they allegedly control the keys to the kingdom.

Brigham Young said nobody gets to the highest heaven without Joseph Smith's consent.
"...no man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith," (Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 289).

So who stands after Joseph Smith...

...per LDS doctrine?

Clearly his brother Hyrum Smith

"We can find no person who presents a better character to the world when the facts are known than Joseph Smith, Jun., the prophet, and his brother, Hyrum Smith, (Journal of Discourses, vol. 14, p. 203).

After that it is hard to day since Joseph Smith is apparently far above everyone in history - clear back to Adam:

"I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I., The followers of Jesus ran away from Him, but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet." (History of the Church vol. 6, pp. 408-9).

Did you read the rest of Brigham Young's sermon?

After you pass Joseph you come to the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ. Mormon doctrine refers to Christ as being our advocate and mediator with the Father.

4 I am the first and the last; I am he who liveth, I am he who was slain; I am your advocate with the Father.
5 Behold, your sins are forgiven you; you are clean before me; therefore, lift up your heads and rejoice. (Doctrine and Covenants, Section 110)

26 And the Messiah cometh in the fulness of time, that he may redeem the children of men from the fall. And because that they are redeemed from the fall they have become free forever, knowing good from evil; to act for themselves and not to be acted upon, save it be by the punishment of the law at the great and last day, according to the commandments which God hath given.
27 Wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself. (Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi, Chapter 2)

wow

Re:"After you pass Joseph you come to the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ. Mormon doctrine refers to Christ as being our advocate and mediator with the Father. "

Wow, that is kind of disturbing.. So Mormons believe that Joseph Smith decides who goes to heaven before God even gets a chance to have a say? And when God has a say, Jesus mediates advocating for the people, but when Joseph Smith has his prior say it's just Josephs whim? It seems to put Joseph Smith as a more important and influential judge than God, which sounds horribly odd from a Christian perspective, but I guess the Mormon view of God is that he's just one link in an endless chain of Gods which Joseph Smith would eventually be a part of. Weird...

Have you ever read the book of Isaiah?

Chapter 6 talks of the angels that guard God's throne. Using your reasoning I reckon that makes the seraphims more important and influential judges than God. How dare they judge who is worthy enough to approach the throne of God. :)

Have you?

Where does it say anything about them guarding God's throne?:

Isaiah 6:1-3 "In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory."

The Seraphims merely stand above the throne 'worshiping' God. They seem to cover their faces from the brightness of the Glory of God, sort of like Moses in Exodus 3:6, which is notable because the meaning of seraphim carries the notion of burning, making the brightness of God all the more significant when some sort of fiery beings have to cover their faces in his presence. and regarding their feet consider these commentaries:

Barnes - "He covered his feet - In a similar description of the cherubim in Eze_1:11, it is said that they covered “their bodies.” In Isaiah, the expression clearly denotes not the feet only, but the lower extremities. This was also an expression of reverence drawn from our conceptions of propriety. The seraphim stood covered, or as if “concealing themselves” as much as possible, in token of their nothingness and unworthiness in the presence of the Holy One."

Gill - "with twain he covered his feet; or body, that it might not be seen, as the Targum; as conscious of the imperfection of their conduct, walk, and conversation, as ministers and Christians, in the sight of God, however beautiful their feet may appear to others, Isa_52:7,"

According to

that particular faith, Jesus died for our sins, so if they accept him as their savoir and repent then yes they go to heaven.

What if scientists discover

What if scientists discover that homosexuality is genetic? Do they still go to hell?

Don't know how often it happens...

...but I once watched a documentary on babies born with both chromosomes. One is always greater than the other and doctors have "permission" without the parents knowing it to make that baby the opposite sex than it is supposed to be. Considering the sickening things that is done behind our backs medically for experiments, this comes as no surprise. Also, there is female hormones in plastic that will give males femininity. That has been proven and you can study it yourself. There is so much being done that we don't know about. Although I agree that it isn't a natural made thing for same sex to gravitate, neither can I condemn such a person without knowing the truth behind that person. What I don't like is extremism in any type of group...just as one doesn't want Christianity shoved down their throat, neither should other lifestyles be forced down everyone's throat. The fairness isn't quite balanced...especially in the indoctrination of T.V. There are some who call themselves Christian, and are hateful, but that is far and few. Media just likes to search and hunt out that very few, exposing them and generalizing all to be that way...so untrue. BTW...the best hairdresser I know is gay and kind. Right now, there are much bigger fish to fry than worrying about this subject.

In that we inherit our sin natures,

all sin is genetic.

They've known for 30 year it's often a congenital defect.

It can be produced in animals by creating nutritional deficiencies.

The defect in humans affect the parathyroid gland; control center for hormone production.

Free includes debt-free!

According to

the Christian faith, anybody who recognizes Jesus Christ as their savior and repents for their forgiveness of their sins will go to heaven, whether born that way or not.
