Popular dietary supplement targeted as “New Culprit” in heart disease

Why has this news story received wide play in the media this week? Three reasons: First, it temporarily reduces the guilt by the medical establishment in propagandizing the myth that saturated fats and cholesterol are intrinsically bad for us. Second, it shifts the blame to a widely consumed OTC dietary health supplement that is 1 of the Top 10 Weight Loss Supplements on the market. Third, it completely ignores the important role of environmental toxins (e.g. dioxins), growth hormones, antibiotic resistant bacteria; GMO derived animal feed, low ratio of omega3/omega6 fats, and the long list of other documented adverse health risks associated with eating radically unnatural meats produced by Big Agro. Furthermore, these 3 reasons complement one another to strengthen the profit margin of the big agro/medical establishment while simultaneously giving the alternative health market a black eye.

As one heart researcher was quoted in the NYT article as saying, "It’s really a beautiful combination of mouse studies and human studies to tell a story I find quite plausible” Yes, this story will be spun into a new propaganda masterpiece by the Corporatocracy!

Sorry but if you eat red meat...

...you're greatly risking your health --

not to mention causing the untimely death of animals that are inhumanely slaughtered every single day. God gives these animals the capacity to live for years but man cuts their lives very short.

Famous cardiac surgeon, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn (who's not on any government payroll, btw) became a vegan just from seeing what was in the arteries of his patients who ate meat.

The meat/dairy industry (all part of Big Agri) has its advisors on the USDA board. Why do you think milk is part of the government school lunch program? Follow the money and you'll find out who's actually behind what.

There is plenty of circumstantial evidence

... which correlates higher meat consumption to heart disease.

However, ALL studies which have tried to find a direct link between meat and heart disease have actually shown the opposite: All other things considered, an increase in meat consumption is protective against heart disease.

The average vegetarian who avoids meat is generally health conscious about other things as well, while those who eat meat are more likely to not give a damn about "dietary guidelines" and consume a lot of junk. Does that mean that meat causes illness? Of course not, but vegetarians and vegans love to spin that data as if it did.

Your mistaken opinions are based on research which was already outdated in the 1990s. It's time to reacquaint yourself with the current research.

Agenda 21-No Meat! I noticed all your posts have the same agenda

And your comments too, are all on the same subject. Do you only come to this site to push this agenda? You don't ever post or comment on anything else. What's your story?

Interesting observation.

Interesting observation.

And he/she seems to leave out that the grain and sugar manufactures are heavily subsidized parts of big-agri and have their fingers in the USDA pie.

Aspertame

too.

Esselstyn is a fraud. There

Esselstyn is a fraud.

There is much evidence that sugar and grains cause arteriosclerosis.

Genesis 1:26 Dominion

American King James Version
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.

@meekandmild, below. He is still right, everybody and everything dies regardless how well you take care of that body or the bodies of your dominion.

die anyway.
