Today I was advised that I'm a target!

New enhanced security programming at work that is calling for all of us to be aware that cyber attacks are not always just posed against Corporations and large Institutions, but are just as likely to be posed against everyday people. Be aware that you are a target!.......

......sorry, but I woke up a long time ago and most of the information deemed confidential is no longer such, so I won't be walking around in fear that I have a target on my back at every turn I take in life, not because I don't necessarily believe in some validity to the point but because I refuse to live in fear.

The whole game is being socially engineered for us to feel frightened and isolated from one another.

Peace and love first.

The Only Thing We Have To Fear

Is government itself!

Fear not your fellow citizens, but lend unending skepticism toward members of the establishment (ruling class). The MSMs anointed "experts" are not to be trusted, nor anyone receiving a government paycheck.

A good start-

Get rid of Windows and use another OS....like Linux.

You are not a cyber 'target'

As in there isn't somebody out to hack your computers specifically.

Taking basic security precautions will protect you from 99% of cyber threats. These include:

(PS my target audience is those who are not tech savvy.)

1) Using a good Firewall. Most home wifi routers have hardware firewalls built in. These are the best. But in the absence of that, both Windows and Mac OSX come with software firewalls installed. Be sure your ports are defaulted to the stealth mode.

2) Don't use open WiFi connections. (This means any place that offers FREE WIFI) Or else if you do make sure your internet activity is encrypted using Secure Websites (https) or by using a VPN (virtual private network). Attackers connected to the same wifi network can see everything you are doing otherwise.

3) Make sure you are using a good anti-virus software. You can find good sofware for free if you know where to look. For windows users, windows 8+ has good software built in. Win 7 and below can use Microsoft's windows defender. HOWEVER running anti-virus software cannot protect you from all malware, which brings me to my next point:

4) Don't click on questionable web links or download questionable files. I guarantee if you are going to be hacked this is the most likely way it will be done. Downloading questionable items or viewing questionable pages can install software on your computer gaining access to almost all of your data or turning your computer into a bot ready to perform any malicious task the hacker wants including being used to attack others.

4) Finally but very important, make sure you keep all of your software updated. PARTICULARLY WINDOWS. Most software you run these days have auto-update settings. I recommend you turn all of them on.

Ron Paul - Intellectual hero

I'm used to being a target...

taxation without representation, unconstitutional laws, illegal wars, assassinations of American citizens, the federal deficit and debt, the Federal Reserve printing counterfeit currency from paper, etc....we have all been targeted and many, many years ago...

Keep your heads up and eyes open.

Perhaps there is another reason we are made to feel like targets

You said: "The whole game is being socially engineered for us to feel frightened and isolated from one another."

And I agree, but I also think that they not only want us to feel isolated, they want us to allow ourselves to be chipped so that we will be secure in our identity...

What do identity theft and the gun grab have in common?

Maybe the hackers are allowed to hack or we are set up to be hacked so that we WILL feel frightened that our identities will be stolen...or in the case of the gun grab, that our children will be shot, etc.

What I mean to say is that identity theft is allowed so that we allow ourselves to be set up for microchipping, thus securing our identity...securing it for whom? Talk about identity theft! They'll turn off your chip as soon as you get out of line and you will have no identity.

I think it is time to get to the bottom of who the REAL identity theives are.

We are targets because....

Truth is Treason in an empire of lies. A head with truth has seven horns ....the devil has six. He makes God offensive by getting people to believe lies. People who love their sin will be given over to lies, to love the lie and hate the truth.

how do you count horns?

"People who love their sin will be given over to lies, to love the lie and hate the truth."

Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

I agree

bump for a good thought

Ah, but the difference now is...

..you are not just a target anymore for thieves, hackers, and terrorists, but now also by the Government!

Conscience does not exist if not exercised

"No matter how cynical you get, it's impossible to keep up!
---Lily Tomlin

The government which is a much greater danger

than the others.

a monopoly of force,

a monopoly of force, dictated by top bottom politics, i.e. the few, dictating everyones lives according to what they feel best, and if people dissagree, well then, they've probably got something to hide, and you know how terribly foul those peasants can be.....WHAT.WHAT /s

in seing the worst in everyone and everything, in order to "reduce" chaos, you become the arbitrators of that chaos, by continuing to lie to yourselfs in your belief of freedom, by putting a price on freedom, and a priceless tag on security........clue: freedom is not just something that sounds good, although i wont hold it against someone who came down that path

Dont sign away generations opportunity to try something different, by keeping the tipping scale of change away from the balance of awareness, and unto the otherside, the untried.......and yes, the scary

edit:sorry, ive told myself to stop making snark remarks, im still working on it
Edit2:obviously ive still got along way to go, considering ive just spent the last minute or two "improving" my snark/joke, instead of deleting it, and causing this VErrrRY important and contraversial, dont forget, contraversial, internet scene........WHAT.WHAT........

sorry (whimpers)

edit3: after reredeading my, i guess you can call them edits.......im a bit of a weirdo.......i profusely apoligize.......aaand, right back to joking sarcasm

......i cant stop myself........yes folks, i think i am that funny.........not to worry, self awareness and all that........(sorry i cant help this next bit) WHAT.WHAT
.....im very posh

edit4:im weird
