My husband is making me watch the 9/11 special on the history channel and acting like what they say is the proof that I'm batsh!t crazy!

I don't understand how, after you have seen credible accounts that things don't add up, you can continue to bury your head in the sand! THIS is what most of our disagreements are about here recently and it's NOT ME that brings it up because I want to keep the peace!!

ETA: Sorry for my short rant... it kept me from exploding on him.

Carry on! :)

Make him watch the one from PBS or the video put together by the engineers group (forgot their name)

Could be an opportunity.

Where I work we can see CNN that is on the tv in our lobby. As much as I don't like CNN, it has opened the door to many conversations with coworkers that would have been awkward or inappropriate to just throw out otherwise.

So maybe you can use this as an opportunity to sow some seeds and give him some food for thought in a non-combative way..especially since he keeps bringing the subject up. ;)

And patiently suffer through it. Then ask him to do the same with you and watch one of yours :)

I tried to get him to watch A&E for 9/11 truth, but he only watched the first 15 minutes or so. After that he decided he had no way of knowing if those people really even were A&E's so there wasn't any point in wasting that much of his time on them.

He won't pay very much attention to anything on youtube, either, for the same reason (lack of credibility).

In all fairness, he wasn't actually "making" me watch it. He just changed the channel to that when he saw it was on and got aggravated after he pointed out that it was in agreement with the "official" story but I refused to accept that due to the fact that they were simply parroting NIST and popular mechanics.

Try this, for a laugh anyway

As a lark, have him watch these clips from MSM sources. Don't claim any conspiracy in any way. Let is speak for itself and perhaps have a laugh. Perhaps after watching, on some level, he won't see his credible MSM sources in the quite same way.

Over the last 30 years, media has been dramatically concentrated into fewer hands. Back in the early 80's, approximately 50 corporations controlled the vast majority of all news media in the United States. Today, ownership of the news media has been concentrated into six or so incredibly powerful media corporations. MSM news is certainly more homogenized and less independent than it once was.

In these clips, Conan O'Brian is subtly poking fun at this state of affairs. Same news stories are being told word-for-word verbatim across rival networks (FOX, ABC, CBS, etc) on the local news.

Also, here is the classic (and sad) Daily Show clip where MSM media all use the same 'top tier' talking points and all ignore Ron Paul (even openly stating how they are ignoring him as they frame and script the news with agenda rather than simply report it).

Sorry Angie, not laughing at you... just laughing because I know the situation. I have had some very liberal hippie type room mates in the past and I watched an inconvenient truth with a group of them once. It was painful. I just put on my headphones at one point and ignored them. Probably harder to do when it is your husband though. Just remember why you married him in the 1st place.

I've seen the same thing with Sandy Hook - some people

emotionally cannot even consider that the govt had any part in it. It amazes me that they won't even look at the evidence - want nothing to do with it.

It just especially frustrates me because it's my husband and he is the one bringing it up because he knows how I feel.

I'd rather not even discuss it with him at this point because it ALWAYS ends up in an argument.
