Ron Paul: Bradley Manning Deserves Nobel Peace Prize More Than Obama

Army Pfc. Bradley Manning, who is accused of providing an enormous stash of classified government documents to WikiLeaks for publication, deserves a Nobel Peace Prize more than President Barack Obama, according to former Texas Rep. Ron Paul.

"While President Obama was starting and expanding unconstitutional wars overseas, Bradley Manning, whose actions have caused exactly zero deaths, was shining light on the truth behind these wars," the former Republican presidential contender told U.S. News. "It's clear which individual has done more to promote peace."

Ron Paul is totally correct of course, but there seems to be a conflict of interests here somewhere..

Yes he absolutely does!

Thank you Dr. Paul, for saying it!

Now you can all understand...

why he was marginalized, ridiculed, omitted and censored in front of the very people he represented better in order that they were protected of their rights and lives...Manning is the enemy to the State and their forcefield's of theatre and game, and there would be no way they could allow our leader to condemn a former president and exonerate a damning whistleblower; damning enough to alter laws in favor of force and ridicule and isolation in order that this never happens again...

He still speaks the truth and the MSM is still silent to it.

Peace and strength

be with Mr. Manning during his time of persecution. Is there any possible way of contacting him in his confinement?

James Madison

Sure, I'm pleased that some

Sure, I'm pleased that some of the documents Manning let loose have helped to turn the hip-to-be-at-war mentality.

When I think beyond the particulars to the process, Manning sent materials that were classified according to the laws you and I elected representatives to enact. Although I signed the Manning petition and donated and have the stickers on my truck, I'm not so sure I'm down with the notion that the personal should circumvent the procedural.

If our laws don't mean squat, we should change the laws. What does it served to make exceptions? What Manning and Assange did was against the laws we have enabled through our process. So, if the laws that keep your private information private were released worldwide by Assange, would you be okay with that -- all your book purchases, the websites you've visited, the photos you've taken, every parcel you receive, every conversation you have over the phone, every email?

I don't see how we can demand personal privacy and throw over the laws we've enacted as a nation so cavalierly. If the laws are wrong, work on the laws. This guy broke the laws we put in place through those we elected. To make him a scapegoat for our own lack of vigilance when it comes to public information laws...well, it seems pretty lazy.

I'm sure I don't want Julian Assange deciding what should be public information. That's information vigilantism. One guy can decide what information gets out. A dictator of information; nothing is secret unless he decides it is. Our system may be corrupt and bankrupt, but at least it's ours and not one guy playing dictator of information.

governments dont own personal

governments dont own personal property, so everything he released is owned by the taxpayers, and im allowed to look at my stuff whenever i want. Thank you bradley for showing me.

So when the government has

So when the government has access to your browsing history, your health records, you weapons purchases, your private emails, your forum posts, you'd rather the laws allow anyone who can gain access to that information be able to disseminate it to any and everyone.

We get up in arms here about personal privacy; we expect privacy laws -- the laws we have, as a nation, created -- to mean something. But when the laws that we, as a nation, have created to protect the privacy of government secrets somehow our principles of privacy and self-governance...um, don't matter? There's a lack of consistency here, as I see it. Change the laws; change the regulations.

I completely agree that our government is classifying too much and making Freedom of Information a joke. But we change that by making a change in our government. Not by waiting for a Manning to come along and suffer for our lack of concern. Not by creating a hero out of our lack of vigilance. Information vigilantes are proceeded by information mobs. Once we decide that our laws don't protect our privacy, what does?

Truth is treason in an empire of lies...

and, "just following orders"?

Sometimes, our "parts" have to be bigger than the "whole".

Bradley Manning will go down in history as a hero, no matter what, or how, the "empire" labels/libels him.

Don't buy into the propaganda. Think, for yourself.

He had top secret clearance and decided only to give out secret information. Which if his testimony is truthful and he chose information that would only be "embarrassing" to the U.S. gov't. The gov't and military often make all sorts of information classified to some degree just because they feel like doing so. So much if the information that is classified as secret is just arbitrary that really does not need to be classified It's just so it is harder to get it pulled with a freedom of information act request. A friend of mine had top secret clearance and she said so much of the information that she was told to file away as such really is just not necessary. It is often abused.

I love www.isidewith.com shared it with everyone I know. If anything they realize its not just a red and blue idiot running for reelection.

Obozo the Chicken Hawk Never Deserved the Peace Prize!

What war did he actually stop? Not one. But, we are still involved in Iraq, Afganistan, Egypt, Yemen, Libyia, Syria, Somilia, and other parts of Africa.

We are the policemen of the world imposing our will upon soverign nations. How would we feel if someone invaded us?

It is sort of sad that it even needs said.

Glad he said it though.

Love or fear? Choose again with every breath.

But really bradley maning should not even wan´t any nobel prize.

I live in Sweden who is host country to the Nobel prize.

The Nobel prize is a joke and has been for a long time.

In particular to be fair, the peace price was lent out so to speak to be awarded by the Norwegians...what a mistake , lol...Not that I think it would be any different had it been awarded here, where Alfred Nobel grew up...in Sweden..

I live close to one of his first factories, dynamite, man...

Just teach everyone the truth and everyone will despise the Nobel prize,,,as all the politicians and morons destroyed it all a long time ago.. After all they made dynamite, so it makes sense..

They blew up a whole town here before...the all caring company...
The peace price is a such a joke and and I don´t know anyone who don´t think they are a joke...here they are..
Some funny stuff here...brace yourself..

Al gore...
O bama

Peace price...

ha ha

even a blind man would see some trouble in that..

Sometimes you think these elite are so smart, but sometimes you have to just stop and wonder at their complete stupidity. LOL

Morons at work.. ha ha lol

The Nobel is an arms manufacturer, dynamite maker, it has never been a peace thing...they once blew up a whole town here...good to know...

Ain't that the truth!

Thank you Dr. Paul!

Ron Paul

Balls the size of boulders! God bless you Dr. Paul.

Can anyone find Rand's position on Bradley Manning?

It's printed on Mitch McConnell's rear end.

The Nobel Peace Prize Is A Joke

I've known that ever since they gave it to Kissinger. It has no meaning to me at all. Bradley deserves better!

A quote that cannot be more appropriate...

"Truth is treason in the empire that lies" - Dr. Ron Paul

That sentence describes Bradley Mannings perfectly

"Truth is Treason in an Empire that lies" - Ron Paul

ANYONE deserves it more than Obama!!!!!IMPEACH THAT SORRY SOB!!!!!

What About Julian Assange?

Must he spend the remainder of his days locked in an embassy?

"Bipartisan: both parties acting in concert to put both of their hands in your pocket."-Rothbard

Bradley Manning is charged with...

"aiding the enemy". But unlike Manning who was trying to protect the Republic, there's compelling evidence that bipartisan US leaders have been aiding the enemy, i.e., Communist China and its proxies North Korea and Iran. US government and business leaders have partnered with China's Communist Party while turning a blind eye to the fact that China is State sponsor of terrorism directed at America. The following clips demonstrate that China is arming North Korea and Iran.

The title of this is an under statement

Manning deserves our highest award for heroism. Obama deserves a prison cell.

Ron Paul is awesome!

None of the jokers in Congress would dare say this.

If the Nobel Peace Prize...

were worth it's salt they would immediately see this, reverse their descision to bow down to the ptb and bestow this honor to a warmonger in obombya, and give the Prize to Bradley Manning.

Alfred Nobel is turning in his grave right now, waiting.

The Nobel Peace Prize means nothing anymore.
