I just heard Jon make the point that while Ron is beating Guliani in every primary thus far, the media continues to dismiss Ron, yet continues to fawn over Guliani.

Very nice !

Yeah, while I doubt they can

Yeah, while I doubt they can make their feelings on the issue too obvious, that is the second time Mr. Stewart has brought up Ron Paul since it came back on (out of all the episodes I have caught)...

Most political people dodge making comments on Paul, I cannot fully explain why.. Though I would assume partly because what dirt or beef can you bring up without seeming childish or telling the public a bold faced lie... Like that neoconservative did when Colbert mentioned Paul... Saying "The more you look into Paul, the worse things start looking."

In my experience it has been quite contrary, the more studying I do into the Federal Reserve and the IRS, I find that Dr. Paul's opinions are not completely unfounded. Sometimes can even be backed by authors and good sources... Like F.A. Hayek in his book "The Road to Serfdom."

was he...

speaking with a guest? what was the context?

He was talking to an editor

He was talking to an editor from Newsweek, and he asked him why Giuliani keeps placing behind Paul, but whenever Paul's name comes up during any of the campaign coverage the pundits laugh.

The editor spun the hell out of his response, and actually turned it into something about pundits dismissing Huckabee's legitimacy as a candidate. In his explanation he even specifically removed Paul from the discussion and his name never came up again.

I know that sounds confusing, but once someone gets the link of YouTube you'll understand.

By the way, someone was complaining about a knock Colbert took at Paul last week, but I think if you go along with the spirit of the show (a satire of the Hannity, Limbaugh, O'Reilly crowd) an insult on Paul is really a compliment. I would imagine Colbert and Stewart both lean liberal, so they're probably more supportive of Paul than any of the other GOP candidates. The Huckabee thing with Colbert was a complete joke, and had Colbert done something like that with Paul it would have totally seemed like a "they're laughing at you, not with you" moment, which it was for Huckabee.
