Report: No Easy Options for Feds in Legal Marijuana States

Report: No Easy Options for Feds in Legal Marijuana States

The federal government may not have much choice but to continue its mellow attitude toward legal marijuana in Washington and Colorado.

New laws legalizing recreational marijuana use in Washington and Colorado probably fall under the states' "power to decide what is criminal and what is not," according to a new report from the Congressional Research Service (CRS). The report analyzes court precedent and lays out what the Justice Department and the Obama administration might do to enforce federal law now that several states have passed marijuana laws that contradict it.

The agency's conclusion: The feds face an array of unappealing options.

Florida Governor Scott: Tear Down This Wall

Florida Governor Scott, President Obama has proven that he does not care about American people who are sick and in pain sir as he could change the current prohibition on medical cannabis with a stroke of the pen, and has chosen not to do so. He has chosen not to do so because he does not care about the American people Governor Scott. Across the country we have seen Governors of other states who care about their people help by at least lending their support. They will be remembered forever for their courage to help sick people.
There are many thousands of us Governor Scott who suffer from severe chronic pain, from cancer, from a multitude of illnesses that would benefit from cannabis.
Do you care about the people in Florida Governor Scott? Governor Scott, with the stroke of a pen you could help end prohibition in Florida. Will you do it? Will you show us how different you are from President Obama? Show us the type of courage we need from our elected leaders. Will it be you Governor Scott or will it be Charlie Christ or someone else? Governor Scott, tear down this wall, this wall of prohibition in Florida sir, tear down this wall.

The feds answered how they

The feds answered how they are going to deal with states that legalize pot: they illegally went for confidential patient records to persecute them with, saw the article right here on the daily paul YESTERDAY. thats the feds answer: screw your rights.

Don't be fooled for a second.

This isn't about protecting children or gateway drugs or the US public education system or an "increase in drug use" or contributing to the Cartel Super PAC.

This is about utilizing Hemp for financial freedom. Could you imagine growing your own:

biofuel for your car?
material for clothes?
protein for daily consumption?
medicine?
soil cleanser?
feed for animals?
House building material (Hempcrete) that gets HARDER over time?
Plastics?

Hemp: my choice for retirement.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

Hemp as a biofuel

Its not the best choice as it goes bad within a few months. Storage is an issue.

The best option right now is ethanol from sugarcane. Brazil is almost 100% ethanol from sugarcane it has no issues. (except cutting down the rainforest)

Could you please list the sources to which you learned that hemp goes bad "within a few months"?

Just want to know where you got that info from.

I dont know about you, but it

I dont know about you, but it doesnt take a few months for me to use up fuel when I need do go places or heat the house or whatever you want.
Further, what do you mean it goes bad? Unless it somehow precipitates out of solution, its still going to burn when lit.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

.

Sorry guys. Double post.

Hand wringers...

They wring their hands with the thought of people actually practicing freedom.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof

I think it's because

they are going after a new angle.. and that is mental health.. the 5th amendment, marijuana use as being "mental" (medical marijuana= self medication) http://www.szasz.com/undergraduate/wadzuk.pdf

I voted for legalization in Washington state

So far, there have been no problems, but the stores that will be able to sell have not been opened yet.

I think once the other states see how Washington state makes money from the sale of marijuana, rather than having to spend money on prosecution of users, there will be more states doing the same thing.

Tourism

Especially when people start going there to visit or to live!

Another way to stimulate a state economy is to end the sales tax or income tax, if any.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

We are absolutely planning on

We are absolutely planning on doing just that. Looking forward to the trip
