Is there even a law that requires you to file a 1040? Tom Cryer, an attorney from Louisiana asked that very question for nearly a decade. The IRS chose not to reveal the law, but instead attempted to destroy his law practice, rather than answer his simple question, "Show me the LAW or Statute that requires me to file a 1040"
The jury found him NOT GUILTY! He has now filed a suit against the IRS, and their agents for damages, regarding their attempts to completely destroy his law practice. I prayed for him during his trial, and now I'm praying for him that his suit will prevail.
Maybe come April 15, 2008 while we're all on our one day sick leave, we should all do something really productive, like write a letter to the IRS demanding they show us the law (statute) too. Millions of letters in one day will scare the sh+t out them. Stamps are cheap, we should keep on sending the same letter until they’ve responded with the law or statute.

The Great American Strike sounds like a good idea; however, I doubt in it's current advertising state that it'll amount to anything significant. People need a reason to strike and the video shows a compelling reason to get anyone upset with a desire to make things right. However, some, perhaps a lot, of people might think this as nothing more than a conspiracy theory, thus, a website should be devoted to the strike which references tangible, credible historical evidence and other related truths for someone to double check at their leisure. Now people have a reason to strike. The other issue is, the general population will not strike if they do not Have The Numbers. For some, maybe they will strike. I
f you want an effective strike people want to know and need to know that there is an effective number behind them. Take for example if only a few people go on strike in a business, they'd probably just get canned, or in essence nothing really gets accomplished. Therefore, just putting out notice there is a call for a strike is not enough, people need to know they won't be the only one doing so.
Once again, a dedicated website can tally number of visitors along with references to who's striking, such as;
will definitely be on strike?
considering strike?
will not strike?
Going even further, this could be broken down to city/state demographics. If/when signing up, one would need to enter either an area code they live in or a city/state indicator. Do this, and this might produce tangible efforts; along with advertising.

Actually it is my understanding that it is an actual strike...as in an organized demonstration rather than a call to not pay your taxes. It is up to your own discretion about paying taxes or not.
Funny thing about he whole "rebate" question is that that is why Wesley Snipes is on trial. Isn't that ridiculous?!?!?!? He PAID his taxes and filed a return to get his money back which they DIDN'T return to him and he is still on trial....ABSURD!!! THEY (the IRS) have his MONEY!!!!!
