Although Ron Paul retired from politics, he hasn't left the conversation: the former Texas congressman has launched his new think tank -- an institute that will carry on his ideals to the younger generations.

Thank you!

Very nice - looking for more info on this.

Typical RT piece. Look.. cute american chicks.. being used as tools.

If you believe RT is independent then ask them to cover their own country. The human rights abuses pale in comparison.

RT uses dividing propaganda to look like the dissenting heros while their bosses want the division to continue to divide us.

Its not rocket science. Any media owner has an agenda.. If you owned a media outlet... wouldn't you???

'Advertisements are the only truths to be relied upon in newspapers.' T. Jefferson

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

Same As CNN, MSNBC, and FOX

Which also use dividing propaganda. So what's your point? Are you suggesting RT's dividing propaganda is worse that the MSM dividing propaganda?

As for human rights abuses, the US has caught up with Russia. If CISPA and gun-control get passed, then we may catch China.

...

I think that's a fare comment. Do we not still gain from the contrast, though?

Absolutely!

'Advertisements are the only truths to be relied upon in newspapers.' T.J.

The election of 1800 was one of the ugliest. Jefferson showed restraint and respect for the first Amendment even though the newspapers told its readers if he were elected that the slaves would be freed and rape all the white women. (Im paraphrasing)

T. Jefferson understood his leadership position. If he were like Adams and go after those that dissented, he would discredit his own philosophy. It was a great political move that paid valuable dividends. His victory proved that the freedom of speech worked and solidified its place in American history.

"RT uses dividing propaganda"

If we had more honest media there would be no market for RT to capture. Of course they have an agenda, so what?

thats my point tho..

they understand their market value and exploit it...

We will never have an honest media because they will always have owners that push their agenda. Free market at work.

What I wanted to point out is that just because they cover something that the US media wont cover, does not automatically make them the good guys, spreading truth and honesty.

Jussayin..

here's a little blurb from POLITICO on it;

what, you didn't think MSM would start writing positive news on Ron, did ya?

http://www.dailypaul.com/282359/ron-paul-institute-for-peace...

they had to drive a wedge between Dr. Paul the Elder and Junior's foreign policy differences and stress the fact that Rand was missing from the Father's own center opening ceremony, when 'even' Kucinich a Dem (OMG! OMG!), who sits on the board, were present. Hey, perhaps Rand was busy on the gun bill?? kinda important, you'd think.

To answer your (even if rhetorical) question: er... nah, I didn't.

Funny coincidence, eh?

Damn. They're so predictable. PTB minions.
