At what point do we wake up? Will our foreign policy ever change?

Our policy lead to the deaths of over 100 people in lands far removed from our borders. Did you hear that on the news? Is it anti-American for me to point this out?

We have enemies.. I get it. The attacks on the Boston Marathon has proven to me that our policies in the middle east do not work. They are counter productive and create more enemies than allies.

Looking at our problems through logical, calm and wise eyes can reduce the opportunities of recruitment, radicalism and revenge.

If we keep starting fires the likelihood of stopping an inferno greatly depreciates. Peace is indeed a powerful message. Having the balls, firepower, training and weapons can decrease resistance while still standing in a position of power. Great leaders understand this power. Weak leaders bow to public pressure and fail to lead.

It is my hope that the people of our nation wake up and realize we need not attack, place our troops or meddle in the affairs of every rogue nation.

We need leadership. Leadership willing to tell the ugly truth and lead our country out of this pile of shit we find ourselves in.

'Peace through strength.' R. Reagan.

I would like to add.. Strength through rights. Without our rights we are not Americans. No matter what line of crap coming out of DC and throughout the airwaves tells us.

Our Constitution and the sacrifices our troops have made, identify the soul of an American. We have lead the world but have lost our way. I truly hope that America unites behind the principles that define us. Without a sense of unity our cause is lost.

Will someone stand up and lead our country?

Yeah. Pathetic.

One 8-year-old dies here and everyone is horrified, disgusted, defiant, and wants to kick some serious ass.

Overseas they could fill whole dump trucks with all of the 8-year-olds who have been burned alive, suffocated, DU'ed, and otherwise blown into ground fucking beef by our bombs, etc.

Then assholes here in the US say stupid shit like:

"Huh. Kid should have had better parents who weren't terrorists!"

And what about the Oklahoma City Bombing? Never mind all of the controversy surrounding it, people have signed sworn affidavits revealing that the BATF personnel who worked in the building were paged NOT to go into work that day and that they knew there was a threat... but then they let a whole childcare center full of beautiful youngsters get destroyed.

Spoiled, utterly detached, self-absorbed people. Crocodile tear-weeping politicians. Federal law enforcement agencies which do not protect and serve. Utter bullshit.

What would the Founders do?

Outta sight

outta mind.

I like the spirit of your post.

When this happens in the middle east it's no big deal.

But when the chickens come home to roost it's a different story.

Even if they find this to be domestic terror it reflects what goes on in the middles east because of our occupations.

How can you say you love your country

and then proceed to list reasons why we should not love our country?

Your message is confused. I can list plenty of reasons for why I do not love my country.

Our leaders swear to uphold the Constitution and don't.

Our leaders continue to put us deeper and deeper into debt.

Our leaders have passed laws that deprive us of due process protections.

Our leaders continue to intervene militarily in other countries with no declaration of war.

Our leaders authorize drone strikes that kill innocent civilians including children.

Then there're all the government regulations that are stifling our economy.

Let's commit to change the status quo and create a country we can love.

Speak For Yourself Neil

They're not MY leaders!

My friend...

I do love our country. I love the principles we were founded upon. Principles that took generations to enact.

We should love our country dearly. Our track record of success in comparison to the rest of the world only has a black eye during a civil war.

Our Constitution was written, in fact, to free slaves, women, children and minorities. The genius of the leadership at the time was that they knew if the principles remained, over time, all the goals in the defining principles would be reached.

That is the beauty of America. We were not founded on power, we were founded on the philosophy of Liberty.

It has lead to more wealth and equal rights than any society in the history of the world.

Please don't misunderstand my post. I do not blame Americans for our foreign policy.. I blame the policy on the govt.

What our country has lacked since.. whew.. Eisenhower? Is a strong leader that defends our way of life. Reagan was the last President I remember that ever spoke of our Constitution in realistic terms. Not platitudes.

Thanks for your comment and I hope I addressed your point well enough from my perspective.

I see what you did here

You lumped in American lives with the lives of some foreigners as if all human lives were equal. Blasphemy!

“The welfare of the people in particular has always been the alibi of tyrants.” — Albert Camus

Regardless of the truth in the Boston bombing, the reality

that the elite have known all along, that attacking them over there would lead to them attacking here. Remember the propaganda "were attacking them there, so we don't have to fight them here"? A touch melodramatic and false as most propaganda, yet America will feel the effects of the mass killing of innocents in a land and religion that spells revenge b.o.m.b., and are not in the least afraid to die, this presents us with never ending enemies which kills two birds with one stone. The military industrial complex always has fresh new faces to blow up, and as they do so the enemy will retaliate here where they can further degrade our civil liberties, a win win for them.

Like Alex Jones or not, he makes a very valid point when he speaks about the New York Times article which speaks to the fact that all terrorist attacks that have been thwarted since 9/11 were in fact FBI driven, and setup. This makes it very easy to see why the NYT's would report such. IF and when the time is right they can create a patsy and label it whatever they wish, no matter the truth, and the public will eat it up. What if they allowed all of the people they have entrapped to actually carry out the mission? What if they decide that one successful mission will fill the gap in a political ploy against ones enemy, and allow it to happen? The public would be blind to this, even though they have admitted to doing such.

War is on the table every day now, and with the fake 90% of gun owners who want the government holding their gun records go to vote, the reality is many of the anti gunners will be looking for new work mid term 2014. But what will this accomplish if those seats are filled with the status quo? Answer is nothing.

Always remember:
"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds." ~ Samuel Adams
If they hate us for our freedom, they must LOVE us now....

Stay IRATE, remain TIRELESS, an

Why are you assuming

That the Boston Marathon explosion was a terrorist attack connected to our foreign policy?

it is a piece of a broader picture..

To me.

Even if it turns out to be a lone nutball I would assume the motivation is either directly or indirectly tied to our foreign policy abroad or domestic policies at home.

I'm not making light of the attacks. Its my sincere hope that justice is served and my heart goes out to all the victims.

Not to belittle your point,

Not to belittle your point, as I agree with you, but the wedding attack in Afghanistan was an old story from 2002. I think someone picked it up and was passing it off as if it happened on the same day as the Boston bombing.

what an jerk thing to do!!!

I read that article and that was the entire point of my piece. Damn... that hurts like a kick in the nuts.

I feel like the chick on that commercial.. 'He's a french model.'

Bonjour indeed.

Your point is still well

Your point is still well taken. Obama orders predator drone strikes that have killed thousands of men, women and children in Yemen, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Drone operators are told to look out for large crowds (schools, weddings, funerals, etc.) because only terrorists congregate in groups.

And we're either directly or indirectly supporting terrorist organizations in the Middle East, namely the Free Syrian Army, which have been going on rampages, killing civilians and making refugees out of millions.

Yet, Lanza (allegedly) murders 20 kids, and all of a sudden we have to have a "national conversation" about guns. We need an "international conversation" about our foreign policy.

Your post is still valid.

Murder by shrapnel bomb and drone is part of the NATO-USA policy. The media tells NOTHING of the HORRORS in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Syria...and the HAARP weapon that sits off the coats of N Korea.

"During invasions and initial periods of occupation, the U.S. military dropped cluster bombs in Afghanistan and fired cluster munitions in Iraq. The State Department position is: “Cluster munitions can often result in less collateral damage than unitary weapons, such as a larger bomb or larger artillery shell would cause, if used for the same mission.” Perhaps the bomber(s) who stuffed nails and ball bearings into pressure cookers for use in Boston had a similarly twisted rationale.

But don’t expect explorations of such matters from the USA’s daily papers or commercial networks — or from the likes of NPR’s “Morning Edition” and “All Things Considered,” or the PBS “NewsHour.” When the subject is killing and maiming, such news outlets take as a given the presumptive moral high ground of the U.S. government."

So who are the real terrorists? They hide in the background,

safe and wealthy, while they get the people of the world to fight against each other to increase the elite lands and power. Now they want Middle East/Africa rich resources; kill off brown people while stealing their resources. Depopulate.

War is all about the elite trying to rule the world. They want to DE-populate the world; make it their playground with a small controlled populous of slaves who provide for their needs, and a controlled number of children born into slavery.

If it IS people from the Middle East who planted the Boston shrapnel bombs, are we not all doing what they want us to do; kill each other off and cause more anger/hatred among the people of the planet? People of the world need to refuse to fight ever again for these power mongers.

Obama owes the billionaire's club big time for the rigged elections and the payback is a disarmed nonresistant America. But a black market for guns will arise instantly. Has this not been considered by the not too smart elite?

And now, how will Obama and the puppet media spin the Boston event? It begins to look pathetic and transparent to more and more people. The elite are not smart people, and yet aspire to rule the world.

Come on guys,

there is soooo much money to be made from war....who cares about human, God given life??

War is a government work program...

... and a corporate welfare program. Nothing more.

"But its not suppossed to happen here"

I heard this babble yesterday from a clueless suburban housewife.

Go back to the PTA and fret about how you are going to keep your kids safe from terrorists at Pleasantville Elementary. They are a trillion times more likely to get run over by a drunk driver or slip in the tub and break their neck...

"One resists the invasion of armies; one does not resist the invasion of ideas" Victor Hugo

I agree..

Its the fact we have been at war for soooooo long too.

I just keep going back to that in my mind. 30 innocent people in Afghanistan and 3 here in America.

No mention of one but nonstop 24/7 coverage of the other.

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

What Makes You Say Boston Attack Was By Terrorists?

The evidence is pointing to a false flag by our own government.

cmon now...

Did I say the attacks were by terrorists or govt?

Does it matter?

It was a terror attack. Period. Makes no difference the sponsor when it comes down to it.

This attack just set my view in stone. 30 innocent people died in Afghanistan on the same day. Over 100 injured to boot... All of them innocent people. Then again.. who decided if they were guilty?

Our policy is out of control and that is all I want to point out.

Did you hear that news anywhere? I found it on a British site. I posted this because it hurt. We are supposed to be the good guys.. but how the hell are we supposed to expect sympathy when we slaughter 30 innocent people in one day, while 3 of ours die on the same day?

It was a wedding for God's sake. Sure, it was a country that we are at war in... but the fact our policy failed to get its target just creates a worse black eye for us. Our policy nailed the coffins of 30 innocent people.

At what point is enough, enough???
