Senator To Propose Bill Regulating Black Powder In Wake Of Boston Massacre

On April 17, New Jersey Senator Frank Lautenberg issued a statement to the public that he intends to propose a bill or amendment to regulate black powder, and other forms of explosive components, in the wake of the Boston Marathon Massacre.

The bill would demand full Federal background checks of anyone seeking to purchase the minor explosive, similar to recent attempts by Congress to require full background checks on the sale of firearms.

In the wake of the deadly bombing attacks in Boston, U.S. Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) today announced that he will reintroduce legislation he has proposed in a prior Congress to require that sales of explosive powder be subject to a background check. He will also file the legislation as an amendment to the gun violence prevention bill currently on the Senate floor. - Lautenberg.Senate.com

Sickness runs deep in NJ leadership.

I can't believe that use to be my home. Lautenberg must be New Jersey's Communist Manifesto trivia champion. Sad that he's leading the Garden State down the road to hell.

Don´t forget...

This appears to be someone stating that this was a staged event, and that this was the planned outcome. Supposedly they are going to do a raid on Friday to find their scapegoat. I guess we'll see if that comes to pass.

People of NJ ekeep electing this loser over and over.

Which came first moronic population or moronic Senator.

Michigan elected 2 morons but they only represent a minority, so the have no democratic authority.

Yeah, then they get sick of it and move themselves

So, should we ban the black powder in those 2 billion hollow point bullets the federal government purchased? How much black powder is that?

Now, we're getting to the core issue. Just laugh at the governmental trolls trying to convince you this tragedy is the work of a lone nut and bills to ban explosive powders (which are conveniently used in guns) are merely a coincidence. LoL If the government can't ban weapons outright, they'll surely try to render guns useless.

If the current situation weren't such a tragic case of treason by our government on a massive scale and the death of innocent victims, I'd laugh.

considering how easy it is to make, seems like yet another feel-good, but completely worthless, law. Plus, what about the powder in fireworks?

IMHO, this is aimed directly at the ammo reloaders and has nothing to do with bomb makers.
