An entire city stopped for a 19 year old kid

Is this what America has come to? Granted, I understand he may be armed and have explosives, but I think this is a bit much shutting down an entire city for a 19 year old kid who is probably shaking in his boots right now.

They are certainly displaying fear and the "Police State" in force, don't you think?

This makes a good argument for the gov't to make in regards to chipping all of us like cattle.....they can promote it by saying "...well if he only had a chip in him, we would have found him immediately".

Let's see what the administration says on how we need to "protect" ourselves going forward....chips, TSA agents, bag checks, cavity searches, warrantless searches of property....it is coming.

Or maybe if citizens of Boston were actually allowed to be armed, the city wouldn't need to be shut down and citizens could help out....ridiculous.

So, apparently the 7/11 was not robbed by the kid.

All the massive police state

All the massive police state in just one city broadcast nationwide on display for all the world to see. Parading suspects naked around in the streets. All manner of massive amounts of military equipment. And still can't catch a 19 year old kid.

I for one will be glad for the complete and total economic collapse to put most of the police state in the unemployment line. The absolute massive amounts of taxpayer money being spent on this police state is mind boggling. There will have to be a separate exhaustive story done on just this issue.

If not for one home owner...

the kid would be dead in that boat waiting on spring or the home owner's nose.

The police "state" did nothing but clamp down a whole city.

The applause should be saved for the home owner.

This works just fine in one city. Lets see how well it plays in Peoria with a hundred other cities in unrest at the same time.

I've been saying the same thing all day

Its a show of massive police state force to get everyone conditioned to seeing all the military vehicles and robo cops in the streets. Test run for civil unrest when SHTF happens.

Be afraid...be very afraid. lol

That is two test runs so far

That is two test runs so far this year, not including FL training exercise. Dorner and now this one.

will THE Marathon Bomber become A marathon bomber?

Seems to me this case can only go in one of 2 directions based on what I just heard at the 6:00pm press conference...

1) they catch him, kill him...case closed(that's what they want)

2) he eludes them, bombings continue, everyone is on guard all the time, citizens withdraw from large gatherings, uniformed heavily armed personnel can do door-to-door sweeps anytime, anywhere citing "dangerous individual in the area".

of course, if we're ALL armed(us good people), nothing to FEAR; we'll help eradicate bad persons everywhere!

link to the kid's social site in Russian

it surfaced via RT this morning, CNN got to it one hour ago ;<)). like the Chechens I had to learn Russian as a child because of the Soviet occupation of the Central and Eastern Europe. Soviets really screwed up on Czechnia. Good we got out of this brutal mess in 1989; SOLIDARITY WORKS.

USE GOOGLE TRANSLATION. 3 videos give a variety. posts are boyish - most current remarks - lots of vulgarities in Russian.

Perhaps they picked it up from the daily Paul? ;)

This is my thread I made earlier, I stumbled across his vk account somehow, and made the thread over 12 hours ago

Then again, probably not. Although a lot of stuff that has been on the daily Paul has been getting into the media here in Australia rather quickly, Alex jones was even on the tv the other day, and a thing on bit coin, I couldn't believe it, they even showed Rand Paul on the cover of time just last night I think it was.

Has anyone heard the MSM

Has anyone heard the MSM transfer directions to the fugitive of how to surrender peacefully? This kid is dead already. There will be no witnesses...

MSM has been busy all day

MSM has been busy all day showing happy citizens having their right trampled in Watertown.. Families order out of their homes. People detained on buses, you name it. Will be interesting if alt media interviews or surveys Watertown honestly on how this was all conducted when it is over... Transport shut down Sporting events cancelled all for one man who is suspected of a series of crimes after having his partner killed.

My points exactly. Thanks for listing them.
Now the question is.... Was there people who felt violated and resisted? Were there as many warrantless searches and unlawful detentions as it appeared and if so will those effected come forward with their stories, and lastly can we get them in front of the American people? Lawsuits folks, I hope there are lots of them coming. Maybe a class action against all the agencies involved as a thnk you for their "protection".

Sounds more like some sort of

Sounds more like some sort of damage control to me.

It sure has turned into ...

... a tyrant's wet dream to see how martial law could be implemented in America without too much squawking ... and all to find a murder suspect, which happens every day.

It has to be trumped up to "terrorism" rather than "murder" in order to get to this.

They've only advised everyone

They've only advised everyone to stay sheltered so that nobody is harmed during the man hunt. This isn't martial law.

Hey, stop making sense!

Oh shit! that is hilarious.

If it were martial law, they

If it were martial law, they would have been ordered to stay in and arrested if they don't comply. I haven't seen any reports...have you?

My brother works in Boston, he came and went, but that's because Watertown and certain other areas were in lockdown, not where he worked.

Nevertheless, he reported downtown was pretty deserted. When the LEADERS said "stay inside and lock yer doors" nobody argued. They obeyed.

50 Japanese pirates plundered China, and helped it topple

A great parallel with history: in the early 1600s, some 50 Japanese pirates plundered Ming China for six months, terrorizing the population who had no strength left to resist them. That's because the army was out fighting foreign enemies like elsewhere, like Mongols and Manchus. This handful of pirates helped topple the Ming regime some years later.

And here we are: the lone superpower, pushing everyone around in the world -- yet completely helpless at home.

Crime In Boston Is Down Today

The "lock-down" has temporarily interrupted normal criminal activity. Home invasions are up significantly though. Oh...that's just the police going door to door.

Same thing I have pointed

Same thing I have pointed out. They are doing something(overkill if you want to call it that) to catch one person who in the end is no different from any other criminal that has hurt someone.

From what people have said though elsewhere, its not exactly a complete lockdown type thing as you can still travel about without being arrested.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

Yea yea but is it the population?

I've been posting this thought all day. There have been undercooked chicken dinners that are more of threat than this guy.

If they had just said "he's hiding, police are working to find him. Go about your day." then everyone would have.

(I posted before) that Jesse Ventura said he and seven of his ex-SEAL friends could close down the country by themselves with these tactics.

I think this is more about some muscle flexing than just catching a kid.

There were reports of running gunfights in the streets

Assuming nobody in Watertown, MA wants to get randomly shot, should anyone here be surprised the people there are largely complying?

Ask Mr. Nystrom if he's going out anywhere today. I seem to recall reading a comment earlier today that he would be staying inside today. If this is incorrect, I'm sure he will chime in if he happens to read this.

The gunfights were just BS

The gunfights were just BS stories to justify the extraordinary presence there - it was part of the build up to the martial law takeover.
