We sure are a paranoid bunch...

I mean it.

Whenever anything bad happens, we tend to look to the govt instead of the perpetrators. Do I believe that elements in our govt could do heinous things? Yup. Do I believe that every single time something happens its govt sponsored? Nope.

I find it kinda funny that the same govt we have zero faith in accomplishing anything is capable of pulling off one conspiracy after another.

If its true.. its the ONLY damn thing that they are good at!!!

I expected the down votes.

I knew they were coming when I posted it, but I wanted to let people know that they are not alone if they can't buy into every conspiracy theory that comes around. Thanks for your comment, though!

Isn't it obvious?

They've been brainwashed.

We all know that you're brainwashed if you think the gov't is a force for good, but for some people the pendulum has swung fully in the opposite direction and all evil must be the government's doing.

It's all our nothing for these people. From the outset they wanted it to be a false flag. As details unfolded they adjusted their narrative to fit the facts, twisted inaccurate reports into slips of the truth, and imagined a lack of investigation because they haven't been hand delivered all the evidence and were not invited into FBI headquarters for meetings.

Meanwhile the rational among us believing innocence, false flag, setup, or guilt, wait for the FACTS without being presumptive or jumping to conclusions.

We should remind everyone that the government is just a collection of men and that evil doesn't come from government but from men.

Great post!

That is what I was thinking, but you said it much better.

In medicine, there is a term called iatrogenic.

Iatrogenic means caused by a physician either directly or indirectly. A medication side-effect is iatrogenic, and anything possibly iatrogenic is always looked at first to be ruled-out or ruled-in. The government should be looked at first in the same way that physicians are.

I agree that making blind accusations against the government is ridiculous. Without any evidence, there is no point, and these accusations would fall on deaf ears. However, what if there is substantial evidence? For example, what do you make out of many known perpetrators of terrorism having connections to the CIA or other government organizations? Or, the purposeful blocking of an investigation by our government that might directly implicate our government in illegal activities (9/11, JFK, Fast and Furious, etc.). Again, think iatrogenic when it comes to physicians and also think government involvement until proven otherwise.

The government should never get a pass or never be trusted about anything important, IMO. We are in the situation we find ourselves today because we have trusted the government. Why should we continue to do the same thing and expect a different result? The best that we can do is get independent and unplug from this system as much as possible. The less involvement with the government the better.

It not paranoia if they

It's not paranoia if they really are out to get you!

Gee with a long track record and history of lying stealing oppressing killing and false flags etc. it sure seems unreasonable to suspect the government on anything their finger prints are all over... Just sayin

Good answer. So how did you

Good answer.
So how did you loose the weight?

Having it both ways

I would just like to also point out the ridiculousness of those claiming inconsistencies in "the story."

Has it ever occurred to you that mis-reporting or bad sources might be to blame? Why is it that you are always up in arms when the media changes the story? Isn't it possible that they got the info wrong when first reported? They are after all just trying to be the first to break the news.

You like to attack the media for their bad reporting, and fairly I might add, but at the same time hold them to their first reports as though they couldn't possibly have been wrong.

But then the critical thinkers among us are the ones accused of not thinking on our own.

So which is it? Are the reports fallible idiots, actors in the plot, or are their first reports always the truth? You can't have it all ways.

i agree

like I said earlier:

"I'll bash MSM all day long about how they report things with out verifying them, their obvious bias, and their lack of integrity but right now im talking about conspiracy people's reporting things with out verifying them, their obvious bias and their lack of integrity and critical thinking."

It's easy to do. The

It's easy to do. The government may not cause these things, but they sure are quick to pounce on them for person/political reasons and exploit them for as much gain as possible.

The State does commit false flags, but that doesn't mean we can point at every single bad event and automatically label it a false flag event without proof.

I love the DailyPaul

and I love our community dearly. We fight over every damn thing.. it creates an environment of critical thinkers. We are all passionate in our beliefs and it goes to prove how awesome this 'fringe' base is.

This post was created to let some hot air out of a tense situation.

We have the power to change the world if we understand what our goals are and how to attain them.

Ron Paul may have been the humblest politician in American history but at least he showed us the way to build coalitions.

He is the Plato of modern American politics.

'One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics, is that you are ruled by your inferiors.'

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

If youre gonna down vote..

at least have the balls to reply.

My intentions were to stir a debate and I dont hide, cower or make excuses for my beliefs.

Upvoted, my friend.

I agree with your sentiments with the naturally fiery nature of critical thinking. There is ALWAYS friction. That is the norm with a bunch of sane, rational, reasonable, and yet passionate adults trying to get to the truth.

Its just like in the scientific community. It is cutthroat and messy and sometimes bloody. But the end result is a gem.

Such is the quest for TRUTH.

Norfolk, VA

Time to INVESTIGATE the investigators of 9/11. PROSECUTE the prosecutors. EXPOSE the cover-up.

Its far too early to tell whether either of the recent tragedies are actually "inside jobs"

Thisis what drives normal people away, people like Alex Jones who jump almost as soon as an incident happen make the liberty movement look like a bunch of paranoid criers

in my history here.. the only flame thread I started was because of AJ and his appearance on Penis Morgans show. (is that misspelled?)

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

Looks correct to me.

Morgan is a real dick.

"wickedly keen" isn't used very often, I'd say.
"He is an astute observer of the current political scene.
Astute readers will notice the error."

Not to be boring.

P. Nicholson, if you compare postings on DP

by our populists after the last elections, you will discover that actual context is 10% related to what Ron Paul preaches and 90% is unrelated to individual liberty and capitalism, mostly fantasies of Alex Jones, emotions, and idle speculations.

The funniest part that our populists think they have discovered the "truth" and look down at the sheeple.

sheep with a different shepard

They think just because they believe a story other than the MSM they are critical thinkers..

example of a "free minded" conspiracy theorist below:

"Any video showing a bomb being planted is sure to be staged"

Agree. It is sad

that the populists have pushed rational discourse out of DP. I would be embarrassed to show the site to my relatives or anyone I would want to pursuade about free-market capitalism and individual liberty.

Fear and the Everyday Mind

Good read, and fitting for this thread.

After trolling this thread,

After trolling this thread, you may want to ask yourself:

If they had any evidence, why didn't they even get an arrest warrant for these two? Why did they remain only suspects the whole time?

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

arrest warrant for who?

John Doe 1 and John Doe 2? In theory they didn't know who they were.

On the other hand I just read an article where they were admitting to interviewing him for a foreign government in the past. And, if you believe his mom they were essentially following his every move. With that in mind he must have been in the FBI database one way or another. So, I do wonder about that.

If he lives then they will have to show their evidence. Well, unless he pleads guilty. Maybe a plea for spilling the beans on others. Anything could happen!

I think some of the

conversations below are confusing false flags with false narratives. I'm not weighing in on either here but, having the government and MSM capitalizing on an event to put out a false narrative is different than an event being planned for the purpose of establishing a false narrative.

Well said!

I couldn't have said it better. Thanks.
