Why does Boston celebrate Martial Law with chants of ‘USA, USA’?

Last night in Boston, following the apprehension of a 19 year old student suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, crowds poured on to the streets of Watertown and surrounding boroughs, celebrating what they believe was an end of their terrible ordeal which began on Monday.

In what looked more like an post-game celebration following a Boston Celtics NBA championship, or a Red Sox World Series victory - major media reported the communal outpouring of national pride where resident could be seen with painted faces, brandishing American flags, and heard shouting “USA, USA”.

How did Friday become such a huge ‘patriotic moment’ for the people of Boston? Was this some kind of victory for America?

President Obama also emerged from ‘The Situation Room” in typical Hollywood fashion, to inform the people of New England that they “owed a debt of gratitude to federal and local law enforcement officers and officials”.

Ultimate State Authority!

Much like, "Yassa, Massa!" and "Thank you, sir. May I have another?"

It's the Stockholm Syndrome writ large. The hostages cheer their captors. However, because, "Ultimate State Authority! Ultimate State Authority!" is too cumbersome to say and too complicated (for most 'Murrikins) to remember, they have shortened it to its initials.

That doesn't..

That doesn't surprise me. Look at whom the people of Massachusetts
elected governor a few years ago, Mitt Romney.

everything will be martial law and the people will cheer it, then as well as now.

And as the story goes....

The roman's cheered the deaths of Christians. They cheered the death of Jesus. Keep on cheering as Liberty, truth and justice fade I guess....

For the same reason the Republicans...

...were chanting USA! when the RNC took away their grassroots influence.

USA! We ran away!

USA! We ran away!
When terror struck, right beside
we wisely turned our tails to hide
and let big daddy do his stride
through houses, fields and riverside
until they told us come outside
and it is safe to play!

USA! We ran away!

Be brave, be brave, the Myan pilot needs no aeroplane.

Yeah and as soon as they told us

we could come outside, we found the guy they couldn't find all day long.
Their clampdown didn't do much good, did it?

Don't you get it?

The BIG MEDIA-controlled CIA fronts are NOT going to film "normal" people & certainly NOT any people who didn't like the "lock-down" which was Martial Law militarized policemen invading their homes! And, you BET there were PLENTY of homeowners who HATED this invasion of their rights to privacy.

The 4th Amendment states:

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

They're NOT going to film people like you & me who would question this OUTRAGE!!

NO....they will find a few stupid lemmings, or maybe that's where they'll use their "actors", and have them all line up and cheer the police....or just focus on stupid people who don't know any better.

they will chant the same when REAL Christians are...

..."burned at the stake", beaten, and imprisoned(publicity-wise) as
the 1st century apostles of Christ were, and their of like mind, faith, and fervor for spreading the Gospel...silence, must be achieved by the ruling class.

Psychologists, sociologists, analysts are being employed overwhelmingly in the media to condition the public in "what to look for"... In the snitch-society before us, where...terrorists live among us!

It's not about merely a physical police state; it's about drilling FEAR into those who dare to entertain, subscribe to, explore dissenting opinions in a morally, spiritually, and financially bankrupted benevolent dictatorship that mathematically CANNOT be sustained!

Sickening; how many evangelicals, prominent ecumenists, denominational leaders DENY the creation account of Genesis, will not take the biblical stand on guns or state-sanctioned/forced homosexual marriage!

Radical and Extremists we are...the agenda is CLEAR...

Boo Hoo! Wolf! Wolf! Wolf!....No seriously.....A Wolf!....

Must be just horrible living as part of the 85% majority of the most Christian and religious nation on the entire earth. How lonely and persecuted you must be......

Everytime there is the image of a Christian child blown to bits and burned I shudde.....Oh, right, those are Mooslems.

Everytime a Christian is paraded on FOX News and called anti-American, and a hater, and told to leave the country I thi.....Oh, yeah, those are atheists.

Everytime the State Police bring a gay man to my home and force me to marry them, I .....Oh, I see, that has never, ever or will ever happen.

Well, tried to feed the wolf you keep reporting on -- but I'm not sure they exist.

everyone's a Christian...

...everyone is going to Heaven...

Isn't it just WONDERFUL how the inter-faith service Thursday codified that truth?

My guess, you've dismissed the Christian faith of our wisest founders as hogwash because 90% of the 85% you claim reside here are fruitless hypocrites...That's television Christianity you've observed, not the REAL deal....Foxe's Book of Martyrs, that was the real deal...this world will most likely witness such a purging again; you might want to apply the brakes to your assertions not based in knowledge.

This government doesn't worry about the Christ-haters and Christ-mockers in this movement; it's the Christ followers that give them a hard time...kinda like them Puritans, and them Ana-Baptists of old in history past.

I understand what you are saying

But, the "they are not real Christians" defense is a cop-out and is used every time a Christian, real or not, has no evidence. Because, you made the claim that real Christians are persecuted, constantly. But, I have never observed or even know of a case of a Christian being persecuted for being a Christian. So, if there is no evidence of persecution, then how can the "real" Christians be identified?

And no, I don't just reject the faith of our "wisest founders" (I'm assuming you mean other than Thomas Paine - the greatest of them all, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Samuel Adams, etc....) I reject all faith because faith is not a pathway to truth. Faith causes people to believe in claims with no evidence or even causational relationships - like the claim that Christians are persecuted.

No such thing as Jesus Christ

There is no credible evidence that there ever was a Jesus Christ.

The "real" argument is a logical fallacy

Sorry, but you can't blame everything on the media or the government or academia-- there's got to be a point where folks have to take some personal responsibility as well. How many "real" Christians support/ed the War on Terror, War on Drugs, et cetera?

Also, I find it a bit rich that so many Christians talk about being persecuted, yet most (certainly not all) go around telling non-Christians that they're sinners who are going to spend an eternity on fire or some such.

Finally, how come Christians almost never talk about Muslims being persecuted? Oh right, because the persecution of Muslims is actually happening...mostly by Christians (but not the 'real' ones!) I apologize if I come off as snide, but I see that 'real' argument pop up all the time with people whenever their group of choice gets criticized.

I can agree that Christians get a lot of flak and are unfairly targeted at times, but that could be said for many, MANY groups.

What's sadly ironic...

...is that the Christians who have supported warmongering and interventionism in Iraq, etc. have helped usher in horrible persecution of Christians in those places through the expulsion of more secular despots who are replaced by radical Christian-hating elements.

The 'real' argument is

The 'real' argument is overused. 'Real' Christians are however few and far between. Jesus himself would NEVER behave as most do in his name.

Rent a Mob

Sounds like a rent a mob to me. Or perhaps fake journalism. All I know for sure is that no debt is owed to the mechanized people for keeping an entire city on lock-down for little reason. These moves are all designed by the power centers to see to it that they can seize control over the public whenever and for whatever reason they choose. Do your country a favor. Remove all the goons from the equation that you can and be discrete. Tyrants are running the streets with military equipment and holding your city at gunpoint. You need to resist...

It's times like this

I see how much of a minority I am really part of.

They caught a very dangerous

They caught a very dangerous person! What is wrong with you people?! This guy could have gone on to kill thousands wih his homemade bombs! Its not like a homeowner with a gun could have stopped him...

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

For anyone reading this, I am

For anyone reading this, I am not beng that serious here. What I wrote is the gist of what many people think and what they would like everyone to think.

My own view is that they were quite happy to put on the display of power that they did and people can find little to argue with about it because it was under the guise of catching someone they had been 'made' afraid of. Part of the celebration is somewhat misplaced as I see it though. People were happy they caught the guy yes, but they were also happy that all the police state type stuff could end even though that was probably not a conscious thought for alot of people. The major reason here is that for alot of people, it is easy to get caught up in the crowd and group actions. People would have felt like they were a part of something, some larger group by the fact that this massive manpower effort was able to catch this horrible man.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

No one is upset he was caught. People are concerned, rightfully so, regarding the means and implications for which he was caught. Are we to stop traffic, cease public transportation, mandate everyone stay indoors, have tanks rummaging the streets with helicopters flying overhead, initiate door-to-door searches without warrant, and detain gun owners every time someone bad is out there? Likewise, a community of law-abiding gun owners could have banded together and stopped him for all we know.

you may be right

I understand the disconnect - and your frustration. Still, I'm compelled to wait for more data before chanting, a trial at least.

Once inside the arena it matters not how one got there. Putting aside root cause analysis, these tragedies become media events become television shows become public opinion. How much approval and disapproval is simply mass produced?

Regarding flags and false flags, there was a time when actions had a stated purpose; evil, insane, or misguided, they had a stated purpose. Suicides had notes. Lately, I don't see any flag at all. It's not that some government agency is necessarily involved – it's that the only access to truth you may have will be supplied by government agencies, captured regulatory entities, and/or mass media that's bought and paid for.

"Why does Boston celebrate Martial Law with chants of ‘USA, USA’?"

Why wouldn't it?

You expecting something other than the opposite of resistance?

Michael's Take On All Of This

sure would like to hear how things went in Michael's neck of the woods during the door to door searches etc. Wonder if people he knows think it was a great thing?

Where exactly did you get the

Where exactly did you get the idea that they were cheering for martial law?

Just from what you've posted, it seems they were cheering the capture of the bombers, which seems appropriate for them.

Even though I moved, I'm still in Boston a lot

and almost every time the subject came up, I got the argument that all the nonsense that went on here was necessary. I mean yeah, many people seem annoyed about it, but then they'll turn around and say it's all to protect us.

This is also an area that is very heavily populated by stereotypical Democrats, and as such, praise anything and everything even remotely connected to Obama.

I wonder if they will feel the same when they get the bill.

During the anthrax scare generated by a government scientist at the biological weapons lab the neighboring count nearly went bankrupt paying for testing.
