A reminder from David not to fret or be angry when evil men succeed in their ways (Psalm 37).

"Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong..."

"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret-it leads only to evil."

Psalm 37. Good to read in its entirety.

good stuff, thanks for the

good stuff, thanks for the reminder, think Ill go study that. Need to refresh my mind. I get wore out living in Sodom and Gomorrah.

Yeah, I bet....

I bet the people who died to hitler did a lot of praying on their way to the gas chamber.

Am pretty sure the hundreds of thousands overseas all did some praying when they saw the bombs hitting their cities.

Any mother or father seeing their baby injured by bombings probably prayed for their baby's life...

Don't fret. Just pray...works out well.

But yeah, the bible does say that life is suffering....so maybe best to just set yourself up for that afterlife we hear so much about.

The point

David does not say, "Don't care." He doesn't say, "Don't act." I think the point is that fretting and anger leads to inappropriate and ineffective action. It clouds the thinking and can actually lead to inaction. It disturbs the spirit, and is a sign of frustration and impotence.

Think fretting leads to not

Think fretting also leads to not praying, which can have more affect than action.

But the Holy Bible also says to do things when you can, and not tempt God by the not doing of them. For instance, when the devil tempted Jesus Christ to step off the temple.

Matthew 4:
4 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him....
[...]
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

who would dare say...

..."God is NOT in control"?

Who would say "God allowed the bombing to go through so Alex Jones and Glen Beck could be used of Him to WAKE US UP!!!"

I would say the EVIL and delusion and confusion and selfishness and deceit and self-preservation and compromise is SOOOOOO great because we refuse to look in the mirror, the Scriptures, and compare ourselves to it....

Christians compare themselves to other Christians; not God's expectations, desires, and promises and consequences for obedience and disobedience to His Word!

Evil people rule and reign, this DOES NOT escape His notice...

Each individual MUST assess their spiritual condition in these BURDENSOME times: Jeremiah 17: 9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

We know they're evil, how is it we're BETTER, if we don't know Jesus Christ as personal savior?
