UPDATE- Cispa Protest or DP Censorship - What happened to ZooAmerica/zachnap/celeste/duanek36 ?

Just wondering why these two members are no longer available.

I know ZooAmerica has been around for a while... so what could possible cause his "account" to be closed or unavailable?

Maybe I am missing something obvious here, if so I apologize. However it seems curious that a long time member, someone I can't specifically recall ever being particularly offensive or confrontational has just been removed from the DP.

If they have in fact been removed as members, I think we all deserve an explanation as to why his account was closed. After all most of us have come to rely on the DP as a source of uncensored, unfiltered information. Many have also invested time, donated money and formed friendships with fellow dp members. To have your account seemingly shut down willy-nilly is disconcerting to say the least.

Hopefully I am ALL wrong. Can someone explain please. TY :)

I love www.isidewith.com shared it with everyone I know. If anything they realize its not just a red and blue idiot running for reelection.

probably using disinformation ans are using a new user name?

i don't know just speculating.

Nystrom..

I dont know all the details.. but you dont ban people unless they continue to break the rules or be an asshole.

I am guilty of being a little to drunk to post at times and haven't even gotten a warning... that doesn't mean my philosophy has changed.

Its gotta suck like shit through a straw to find a balance on so many egos.. Ive been an employer most of my life.. so I understand the difficult balance you face. I bet you didn't realize how much chit you would have to deal with when you started this site... for sure. :)

I love ya man.. and I love this site. Lets keep it together till the midterms and see where it goes from there. While AJ might have some shit stick to a wall, realize the sacrifice you make by linking to him. Im still shocked Drudge does...

Im not leaving til the site shuts down. Again.. love ya man.. thanks for all your sacrifices. This is still the best site on the net to debate philosophy.

I have parties in my house,

I have parties in my house, there are beer bottles, drunk people on the couch, bongs on the table, dark lights instead of normal lights and its all fun for a while.

But when I'm expecting someone over, I kick the people out, clean up, replace the lights and make my place pristine for the visitors.

There is potential for a huge group of new people to come to the site for the midterms. Mr. Nystrom is just cleaning up his house after the party.

I'll give it my best Nicholson

I appreciate your support.

I'll try to keep it together 'till the midterms, but honestly, I don't know if it is going to make it. The balance is really starting to tip where it just doesn't seem worth it anymore.

You know what this reminds me of?

All those attention whores that post how they are going to leave the DP over, and over, and over, and over again. How many times have you threatened to shut down the DP?

maybe you can do a wiki style fundraiser

I am not clear on what the issue is, but if it's money that's a sure bet.

If you create a post and front page it, asking for donations to keep the site running people will definitely donate.

You could call it the daily Paul annual fundraising drive. You just keep the post there until you reach your goal.

That's how wiki stays afloat, and their operation costs millions.

just a slump

Try to not feel so down. I'm sure you may have other reasons Mike but the site and others in the liberty movement need to try and keep our heads up and not let these establishmentalists feel they've defeated our determination.

Micheal banned some people from the site? Cool - much appreciated.

Yeah, your missing something fairly obvious here, but it would be too much like homework to actually lay it out (again). If it's any consolation, I'll accept your apology.

Not quite on topic, but I

Not quite on topic, but I think we all owe Michael a great deal of gratitude for the many years this website has been available. I know it's certainly been a great resource for many Paul supporters like myself during the campaign, and personally I'm glad he is wise enough to exercise his editorial judgement when necessary. This website has always been one of the more tolerant forums on the Internet and that's probably what attracts some of the misguided posts. But in my mind there is a line that is crossed by insulting victims of horrific tragedies. The Daily Paul is probably not the place for those kind of discussions.

Michael is clearly a

Michael is clearly a reptillian freemason scion of queen elizabeths fetid womb.

I knew something was off when I saw this recent photo of him:

By continuing to update this posting and challenge the owner

Of this site tells me a lot about your character.

This will be difficult for you to hear.

You lack humility, gratitude and frankly are letting your ego control you by dwelling on this issue. If you asserted this level of energy on matters that would really make a difference in life you might just make a positive impact for the cause of liberty. Instead you squat on this subject all day and dwell on every comment in some strange self gratifying way. This level of narcissist fervor will not help any of us coalesce in our common goal.

Time to let this go.

Just trying to do the man a favor

Cause I have a feeling this one isn't going to end pretty.

Time to grow up and show Michael the respect he deserves. There are hundreds of other posts to comment on, this really should end.

Good luck

I know Michael walks on water around here to most people, but he can be wrong you know?

Regretfully

You are missing the whole point. It's not about who's right and who's wrong, it's about knowing when to swallow ones pride and let it go.

What are you REALLY trying to

What are you REALLY trying to say? I've been here a few years and have seen much worse tossed back and forth, why all of a sudden the censorship, the banning, the stoppage of possible scenarios? Why? I'm sure Michael is pissed off, maybe even scared. But since when has it been a good idea around here to back down from controversy?

When the "controversy"

is dumb, manufactured, a diversion, and a waste of everyone's time and energy.

That is since when.

If there are people here who are insistent on pushing that meme - I don't want to have anything to do with them. I'm not scared, I'm just tired of suffering fools. I don't suffer fools in real life, and I don't see any reason why I have to here.

Not all opinions are of equal value, and I made a J-U-D-G-E-M-E-N-T about which ones are not going to be given any time here, as is my right to do.

You may not like it - that is fine. But there are WAY more important things to do than argue about a false meme, and further, on top of that, to argue about the "right" to be able to argue about it.

Yeah, you've seen worse here - I have too. Frankly I'm tired of it. There are plenty of other places to waste time on the internet where you don't have to involve me.

isn't going to end pretty

What's going to happen ? Are you going to call my mommy?

Or are you suggesting my account is going to be revoked because I have an opinion? . ..gasp.

Seriously what does being a member here mean if you are going to get kicked out for asking unpopular questions. HERE OF ALL PLACES. When you say it ain't going to end pretty it isn't me that is going to be affected. Throwing someone off for defending other members doesn't exactly promote a sense of community and security.

...notice I am not writing my "dont cry for me dp" speech. No dramatic farewells like others are prone to do. Nope. I am standing here defending this community and what makes it awesome.

If I get booted for that.... fuck it. Shit happens.

Good luck to you

I hope you find what you seek

That is not difficult for me to hear....

because that is not true. I didn't want to make this an issue. I wanted to know what happened to a few fellow dp members that I have grown to respect and whose opinions I value. It is sad that you see it the way you do, I see it as defending our ability to debate the issues no matter how uncomfortable. I see it as defending members who have put time and effort into creating the content and making this site what it is.

I VALUE your opinion on here as well. If you were removed from the community with out so much as a warning or explanation I would call foul on that too. There wasn't at least as far as I know a warning. At the very least Michael as a decent human being owes it to the remaining members an explanation as to what happened or what caused the removal of our friends. Not because he is obligated as this site owner but because he is obligated as a decent human being.

Notice I said explanation and not a dismissive reaction to my comments.

BTW, nice job with the personal attack. Guess that's how you bring people together.
