GOP changed to fit the neocons agenda..
I was reading the Ron Paul news and saw this article that made alot of sense. Here is part of it:
"For that reason, I would tell Ron Paul to turn the Ron Paul Revolution into a full scale "Take Back-the-GOP" movement. This would achieve several things. First, it would prompt Republicans to investigate the history of their Party as well as the theoretical underpinnings of conservatism generally. History and conservative theory is where Paul has the upper hand. Second, it would encourage small-government Republicans, who have no other political outlet to return to the Party and end neoconservative influence. It would afford them an opportunity to remain loyal to the party and simultaneously loathe what George W. Bush has done to it. Third, it would remind voters, especially young voters, that the distasteful neoconservative brand of Republicanism is not the only kind. They need not identify "Republican" with socially conservative agendas and half-baked theories on the consequences of war. Finally, it would set the stage for historians to identify the current Republican Party as an aberration in the greater history of the Party, which is clearly is. This may not only help Paul, but other liberty-minded Republicans in the future. "

While we are taking back the GOP
I have exercised an above average deal of respect for my GOP county chair person and it has payed off big time. Here is how.
My GOP county chair person called me after I have only attended 2 of her meetings. She asked me to come February 5th (caucus day) at 11:30am and do a five minute speech for the County Republican Women about RON PAUL!!!!!! And I got invited to a dinner in march to set up a table and display for Ron Paul and do a presentation on Ron Paul.
How amazing is that? The chair person says that she is undecided (plans on jumping ship to the popular candidate at the last minute) and that people like me give Ron Paul Credibility and good standing.
I am at least excited and at best overwhelmed with joy because my GOP is neoconned also but they are accepting me and Ron Paul and they are slowly learning what the revolution has to offer.
The Revolution has a ton to offer the GOP: Membership, attendance, recruitment, financial gain and active grassroots movers!
If everyone is respectful we can win a lot of these people over (even the slimy ones) and gain the support of some pretty decent (though misinformed) fellow GOPers.
