Judge Andrew Napolitano Loses 60 Pounds doing Wheat Belly Diet

Judge Andrew Napolitano Loses 60 Pounds Just By Dropping Wheat (Just Like Dr. William Davis Said)

First, the bit about that weight loss is buried in one or both of the videos—but you have to find it if you want, which is going to piss some people off (but you get what you pay for). There's also a mention of misled vegan, enlightened libertarian John Mackey (see, contradictions do exist) and Whole Foods Markets, but in a different context—which is a bit dot-connecting interesting.

Dr. William Davis - The Dangers of Wheat interview

Henrik Palmgren interviews Dr. William Davis, cardiologist and seeker-of-truth in health - "exposing "healthy whole grains" for the incredibly destructive genetic monsters they've become...."
He explains how modern wheat is an opiate and appetite stimulant. Dr. Davis also breaks down the internal components of wheat and how they interact with the body in negative ways linked to a slew of health problems. He also explains the great lie of gluten free bread.

Hello Victoria. Some new information and hope?

"Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing a news article regarding a new study on autism. The study finds as did 19 previous studies that there is no link between vaccines and autism. Doc agrees stating that he has been saying the same thing for over 10 years. Contending that the cause is linked to diet and lack of nutritional supplementation.

Cruciferous vegetables are no no if thyroid is comprimised.

Exactly. Traditional Japanese diet has 13mg Iodine from kelp.

90% of Americans are Iodine deficient, ergo if thyroid is compromised it's likely from iodine deficiency, then the cruciferous vegetables can be a problem.

I think that is what Kevin was getting at.

My wife takes synthyroid. Until her blood test shows normal, it is not unreasonable to avoid cruciferous vegetables and substitute glutathione (asparagus, artichokes and avocado) and selenium to battle cancer.

I like cruciferous vegetable, but I am iodine sufficient, as I took 50mg of iodine (Iodarol) a day for a month. I now get about a mg of iodine a day or so.

Thanks for the head's up, davyC!

I did not quit wheat, I quit white.

White potatoes, white bread, white sugar... If the food is white, it has been processed to death, literally. No life left in it, empty carbs. Yes, it is an oversimplification, but it was a "rule of thumb" I could live with and I continue to hold my weight down using it.
I still enjoy wheat bread, chocolate, sweet potatoes... and ice cream. It is not white. I don't care what you see, my ice cream is purple.

One summer back in the 70`s I put on quite a bit of weight. I was young (around 10yo)and was never chubby before that. My mother was concerned and took me to the doctor. After a quick exam, the doc said I was healthy. His recommendation: Avoid foods that are white. We get home and mom tosses the wonder bread, milk, sugar, salt and the gold medal flour she used to make pancakes and biscuits with. Guess what? Dropped that weight quick and never forgot what that old school doc said. Words of wisdom IMO.

like ron paul said

commenting on his eating habits when traveling: avoid white stuff. he said he ate mostly soups and salads.

except for yummy coconut :-)

Potatoes are white, but

Potatoes are white, but that's just how they are, coming out of the ground. How do you conclude that they have been processed to death?

I don't.

I was generalizing. Although have you ever tried the other kinds? There are purple potatoes, in addition to red, yellow, orange... all are far more nutritious than white. The "process" was peddling the least nutritious one to the masses.

There are plenty of different

There are plenty of different colors on the outside but inside all the potatoes I've seen they are white to pale yellowish white. And they all mainly consist of starch.

Really? Ever seen a yam?

My purple vikings are striped with purple all the way through. And pale yellow usually indicates vitamin A, so even a little yellow is better than russet white. (Going to get myself run out of Idaho in a minute - lol!)

A yam isn't a potato. It's a

A yam isn't a potato. It's a yam. Yams are of the genus Dioscorea in the family Dioscoreaceae, and potatoes are of the genus Solanum in the family Solanaceae. So they aren't even closely related plants. In fact, potatoes are more closely related to both tomatoes and nightshade than they are to yams.

Oh for Pete's sake.

We were talking about weight loss, I made a comment, that I already said was a generalization, about the way I hold my weight down. When people are planning meals, "yam" and "potato" are pretty much interchangeable.

I was wondering why he looked

I was wondering why he looked so thin the other day too. Good for him.

Similar thing happened to me.

I changed to a similar diet (due to food intolerances) and lost weight fast and started feeling wonderful. One day I went for a walk and came back having to hold the waistband of my pants to keep them from falling off. It was apparent that some new clothes were in order.
