For Serious Discussion - How can we raise $20 million?

Anyone remember when they said it didn't matter how much RP would raise because his money didn't matter?

I believe those who conveniently "uncovered" the newsletters did this to derail RP's war chest potential because they knew that this would be a war of attriting funds, and we were rolling.

The question each RP supporter has to ask is "Do you feel lucky? Well, do you punk?"

For a goal to have merit, it must be: Measurable ($20million - check); be date sensitive (i.e., have a deadline); must be specific, it must have accountablity, and the task(s) must be broken into chucks.

I've read where most or alot of people are maxed out. I believe alot are. But there are probably 100k RP meetup members that are no where near maxed out.

Someone smarter than me needs to set a date, and split this Goal amount by state, and list all the meetups in the state.

If we allocate the $20 million by state, it's not very onerous, and we would send a powerful message to the Republican party that we're in this until the convention!

Talk about RP while washing the cars. Having some hotties doesn't hurt either.

RP now must have 200K total donations. Assuing 25% are maxed out ( though that sounds a huge) we still have 150K donors who hopefully should be able to donate $100 each. And on the next "money bomb" day when we get another 20-25% new donors that will allow us to get that 30 K - 40 K new donors. So in all given the current base of 150K and the new base of 40K donating $100 in the next 2-3 monts will allow us to reach 20 million target.

All the above are based on the very conservative estimate that RP only maintains the current rate of success. All he really needs to blow past the 20 million mental block is a win in any state in the next 20 days.

Set up an Ebay auction that sells:

Peace, Prosperity, and Liberty ... and a Ron Paul pen (as something materialistic to sell)

it has to be a well made webpage with all the issues of Ron Paul.
people all around the world have an ebay account.
so even international supporters could bid.
it has to be promoted around the net heavily, to get momentum.

The income would go straight into a donation for Ron Paul, so to be able to do it, it would need to be split up, that means it needs to be a big group of people running the show to be able to do that.

is that possible .... i mean legally?

While we are thinking about this. We should at least attempt some mini-fundraisers too..Perhaps, a weekly "100K FriDAY".

There was a thread several days ago showing a write up on a gambling site that promoted the MLK moneybomb. I thought it said there are 30 million poker players. Anyone go to those poker sites?

How 'bout those traders in the pit cheering when RP was talking to Bernanke? What about other financial people, like when Peter Schiff put out an email asking his clients to contribute to RP. (I think it was Peter Schiff. Please correct me if I'm wrong about it being him.) Connections in the investment world, anyone?

Just make dr Paul to give you autograph every time you meet him. Then make auction on ebay - sell it ( I know it is not easy to separate with such valuable memento ) and pledge to donate all amount to RP.

Or maybe dr Paul could make some nice signed photos for all precint leaders to thank them for their effort? It could be a issue of numbered postcards or sth. Limited issue 10 000 for first 10 000 leaders.

I think you should think about making money not "begging for donation".
All you need TO WIN is money. Think about it. No need to put your life. Just money.

- if you maxed out and CAN donate more find somebody who didnt yet and donate (illegal ? oh... and FOX is legal ?? this is war !)

How about a Garage sale for Ron Paul, either individual or by meet-up groups, have signs, give away slim jims, talk up the movement, while getting rid of all that stuff we don't use.----By the way, ALL the ideas suggested here are pretty good, but time is short so lets get organized and get going.

We need an official goal and a 'thing to fill up', as we had with the $500,000 and $12M goals.

This could help change the money bomb stuff up.

I think Dr. Paul may need to go with the matching funds and he could promise to return any funds that are not used. Just like he does in the House he returns any unused funds.

From talking to a friend who is a financial wiz I learned that the tax "rebate" that Bush is proposing is not a rebate at all. It's simply a loan that you have to pay back next tax season!! This is why they are being so vague - they don't want us to know this or we won't want the checks and there will be an outcry.
Be that as it may, if Bush enacts this so-called rebate and sends us all $500 checks, I say every one of us donates it straight to the campaign. RP would have his 20 mil EASILY. And they'll help us to fund their own demise.
Since every tax payer will have to pay that amount back, there's a way on your W4 tax form through your employer that you specify an additional amount you want withheld from each check. Calculate 10 bucks a week and all of our money will be paid back by next year, without having to cut a check on April 17.

If we get the 800.00 per person Bush rebates in a couple weeks, WE can have a rebate for ron paul money bomb, only 25,000 people would need to donate to reach 20,000,000. we all know this rebate is just a band-aid on a gushing wound, why spend it?? then wal-mart profits, and the chinese factories profit, american jobs are still lost. So why not just donate it to RON PAUL!!! invest in YOUR future!!!
