Attention! Want to convert every Jewish person to Ron Paul?
Submitted by October2007 on Thu, 01/24/2008 - 01:31I've designed a very targeted and hard-hitting flyer to be distributed to the Jewish people all around your neighborhood. Now, you might be asking? "How do I know which of my neighbors are Jewish?" Well, have you ever heard of a Mezzuzah? A Mezzuzah is a piece of parchment that is contained in a small decorative case and attached to the right side of the front door and/or garage door. A Mezzuzah has its basis from the bible and almost every Jewish household has one. (Please click on link to see a picture of a Mezzuzah ).
Anyway, I've been going door-to-door in my neighborhood and hanging these great "Man of Common Sense" Flyers on people's front doors. (http://www.manofcommonsense.com) and every time I come across a house with a Mezzuzah I added my flyer.
I can tell you that the results are mind blowing!!!!! For example, two days ago, I was getting stuff out of my car and one of my Jewish neighbors approached me and started asking me questions about "this Ron Paul guy".
He knows I'm a supporter because of the huge Ron Paul sign in my front yard. Well, he starts telling me that he really likes Ron Paul's ideas about getting out of the Middle East and to stop giving other countries our tax dollars! I was shocked!!!!!
Then this morning, I went to the supermarket wearing my Ron Paul T shirt and a woman stopped me. She told me that she recently started to look into Dr. Paul and she really likes his ideas. I asked her, how did she hear of him? She said that she got a flyer on her door!!!!!
So here is what you should do:
1. Print and make inexpensive photocopies of the "Man of Common Sense" Flyers (http://www.manofcommonsense.com)
2. Print and make inexpensive photocopies of my targeted flyer for Jews. (http://www.americansforisrael.com/spread-the-word)
3. Distribute them all around your neighborhood. Make sure you include my flier to every home with a Mezzuzah.
4. Spread the word. Tell your meetup group leaders about this. It really works!

Thanks
Thanks, but I don't think I've ever even met a jewish person, not many around this neck of the woods. If I did, I wasn't aware of it, they didn't introduce themselves as "hello, I'm jewish". But I'll keep it in mind if I run across one.
Great Stuff
I have actually been emailing temples and associations around the country trying to get unity among fellow jews. I have been looking at the comparisions between Nazi Germany and the U.S. the last couple of years and it is scary. But after seeing this, I like the positive attitude vs. the fear approach much better. Thanks for putting this together.
Question though: Why do you think the slim jims are not only effective but actually counter-productive?
Thanks!
Yeah, the fear approach doesn't work. People don't like to hear it.
From a marketing perspective, I think the slim jims are terrible. We all know that the vast majority of people either dislike or don't care about politics or politicians, so why feed them with boring facts about our candidate?
-You have to strike a chord with the people.
-You have to get their attention.
-You have to get them to agree with everything you say.
-You have to make it short (Most people don't have the time or make time to read and research a candidate)
We all know that the Ron Paul supporters are running the show. I just wish that the Ron Paul campaign would run their campaign in more "out of the box" ways.
I wish the campaign's radio ads and TV commercials were less typical and more "hard hitting".
I wish the campaign hired professional copywriters and marketers to write hard hitting flyers that cover each and every subject Ron Paul speaks about.
Imagine this: What if Ron Paul himself would release once a month a You Tube video asking everybody to print from his website a specific hard hitting flyer, make copies, and distribute them it to all our neighbors?
Every month would be a new subject. Ex: February, is Federal Reserve month. March is War in Iraq month etc...
Instead of us all doing sign wavings, we could be educating and waking up our country with well organized, well written and hard-hitting ads.
this thread completely applies to me
Wish you were in my area Sean! I have at least four synogogues in my immediate area and felt paralyzed when I saw the names on my precinct canvassing list. I will definitely print out your flyer and give it my best shot. I am most definitely not anti-Semitic, but felt that I would be treated as such for rallying Ron Paul within the suburban NYC Jewish community. Thank you for this most needed thread. You gave me some hope. I sure wish I had some manpower to help pass the flyers out. (38 pages...I can't believe so many people live in one little area!)
I'm so happy to hear! I'm
I'm so happy to hear!
I'm going tonight to a few synagogues to distribute the flyers. I live in South Florida, and the election is this coming Tuesday.
It's crucial that we get this message out to the Jewish/Pro-Israel community.
We could definitely use their votes.
Well done
Well done
Thanks!

What about how it plays to arabs/persians/etc?
I have heard a valid complaint (from an Arab American supporter) that such a flier is actually working to re-enforce the negative stereotypes that people have about the non-Israel middle east.
Doesn't furthering the "Arabs are dangerous and Israel MUST be free to nuke them all" stereotype risk losing middle-eastern-American support in an attempt to appease pro-Israeli stereotypes?
Is this really why we're against foreign aid? So Israel can kill more Arabs without having to nuisance of the US trying to prevent them? Or is this a disingenuous argument that we don't really even buy into ourselves but we simply assume that Jews do buy into this logic?
I mean... would it be acceptable if I made a flier targeted to KKK rallies to sell them on Ron Paul by saying that he wants more gun rights so you can protect yourself from your "black enemies"?
I understand where you're
I understand where you're coming from but you're missing a big point.
The unfortunate truth is that, Israel is also considered the enemies of its Arab neighbors, so if someone is Pro-Arab, they should be happy that a Ron Paul Presidency would stop all foreign aid to Israel as well. Ron Paul wouldn't pick and choose who to give foreign aid to. He just wouldn't give any. Period.
Yes, the flyer is targeted to the Pro-Israel community, but with a few minor changes, it could be used as a Pro-Arab flyer too.
That's the beauty of Ron Paul's freedom message. It really does bring everyone together. It just makes too much sense to ignore.
Mistake on Flier
While they would loose aid too, and it might be good for Israel, you shouldn't have Egypt listed as an enemy (even if it is) as its the only arab nation to sign a peace treaty and have open relations with Israel... Small mistake, but thats no reason not to fix it.

"It's the one's who have cracked that the light shines through"
OMG... that's totally why...
...my friend is an Egyptian immigrant...
can you send me a text version to edit please?
you can e-mail me through here, I think or post as file to my meetup please:

right...
.. no aid to anyone is good.
but do the end results we're fighting for (no aid), justify using false arguments along the way?
none of the reasons anyone should be promoting a no-aid stance should have anything to do with what makes it easier for an Arab country to fight Israel or vice versa. Lest they risk alienating the other side.
I have helped you promote your flier to the NYC group (before I realized you were planning on forwarding it yourself) and have found that if offended some of our Arab members. After hearing their viewpoints, I have to say I see where they're coming from:

Again, I'm sorry that the
Again, I'm sorry that the flyer offended your friend. I truly am.
But if you read my flyer, I clearly state that our foreign aid interferes in both Israel's right to defend itself AND sign a peace treaty.
There are no false statements. I basically took all of Ron Paul's talking points about Israel and used them for the flyer. Check out my site and watch the videos of him speaking about Israel. Read the post of "Ron Paul on Israel". Ron Paul himself states everything I wrote on the flyer.
http://www.americansforisrael.com/
hmmmm..
...so what do you think I should tell him?
My only goal at this point is getting ron the most support possible.
Especially since NY will hopefully be in play on Super Tuesday once Rudy drops out after a disappointing Fl showing.
Tell your friend that he
Tell your friend that he might be missing the point of the flyer.
The flyer is not advocating an Israeli attack on any of its neighbors. It's just pointing out that Israel, like every other country, deserves its sovereignty and the right to make its own decisions.
Also let him know that we're not misrepresenting Ron Paul's message. These are exactly his words on Israel-US relations.
Tell him to look through our website and watch our videos of Ron Paul. He should notice right away, that our flyer uses all of Ron Paul's talking points.
And yes! Please pass the flyer on to all of your Meetup group members and captains. Also, Please print some yourself and distribute them at your local Synagogues this Friday night and Saturday to as many people as you can.
New York has a very large Jewish community who need to hear Ron Paul's logic.
Thanks!

Great initiative
Good work. I will pass this on to my Jewish friends as well.
You are the best...
...there is a synagogue right around the corner from my house.
And two others within a mile.
Awesome.
Don't forget the local editors of small Jewish publications
There are many small synagogue pubications that shoud be contacted with your message. It woud be hard to convince them but if your could sway a rabbi or two then the effect would be 100 fold.
Target California/Hollywood too
Getting these messages to New York is huge because of the media concentration there, but don't forget Hollywood (any way to target writers, producers and actors?) and Washington of course.
Register as Republican and Vote for Ron Paul
Is there any way you can get
Is there any way you can get the word out to Jewish people in new york? As you probably know, there is a big Jewish community up there. Seems there is also a lot of anti-rp sentiment up there among Jews in new york, mostly I think due to faulty, questionable and untrue info being spread around about RP(I'd rather not go into all the details here). Maybe get the attention of the new york Ron Paul meetup groups up there to get these flyers out asap?
I've already emailed all the
I've already emailed all the meetup group leaders in NY.
I suggest that everybody please email them as well just to make sure they got it.
California also has a very large Jewish population and I hope that all California meetup members pass this on to their meetup leaders.
Also, go to the bottom of this page and click on the red links: http://www.americansforisrael.com/spread-the-word
There are two directories of many Jewish synagogues around the country. The directory includes the Rabbi's email addresses.
I ask everyone to please help me email this flyer to as many of the Rabbis and synagogue directors as possible. There's just only so much I can do...
It's really amazing. Thanks to our flyer and website, the freedom message is spreading like wildfire amongst the Jewish community.
Please spread this flyer far and wide!
Thanks.
Thanks, I really have to
Thanks, I really have to thank you because I think we could use the help winning Jewish people over to RP's side.
you nailed it
Outstanding, Sean. Couldn't be clearer--very strong.

Flag Me
So much for no "Group Speak"
Good idea
I think this is a wonderful idea but there are very few Jewish people in my area so I am debating to going to the only Synagauge in town but dont want to get in trouble putting these on cars. Any ideas??
Now Florida would be a hit with this. I the Jewish people I know are more loyal to this country and I think it's the Christians who become obsessed with the idea most Jewish people have this "Israel First" way of thinking when that's not accurate at all.
Don't worry, you won't get in trouble
Both I and my brother went to our local synagogue last Friday night and put our flyer under every car's windshield wipers.
We must have done well over 70 cars.
And, yeah I agree with you about the "Israel First" thing not being true. I'm Jewish, and I care very deeply about America. This country is by far the best country in the world... All thanks to its amazing constitution. Unfortunately, our constitution is being ignored more and more, and I want to change that.
