Police stake out hydroponics shops, harass customers who grow their own food

Sorry, I know I told Michael I would try to post less negative threads but I saw this and couldn't help but think of Fishyculture. Heads Up Fishy!

It is appalling

The police state makes me sick

I had this problem in the early 90s. A member of the local libertarian party meetings which I attended had their own grow shop. I got into a conversation with him since I was interested in growing food in space - I used to be a space activist, and a friend of mine from that time period went on to become a graduate student studying that topic.

Apparently asking about how to grow food in space is enough to be "suspicious" - in a free country.

Same guy was outed by NORML for turning in lists of customers to the DEA. Which got back to me through libertarian channels.

This police state, monitoring political parties, making lists of people who have committed no crime, has been going on for some time. It's just getting out in the open now.

Being interested in space colonization is not a crime.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

The police state couldn't think it's way out of a paper bag. They fail to realize that growing food in space requires a rocket and space habitat before it's anything more than an academic topic.

Probably just the question shows intelligence(very dangerous), or they thought you had a space ship. ;)

Just open the box and see

This is unacceptable!
