When is the right time to make a "Big Announcement?" Will now do?

People were very supportive of my video about the first part of our rocket mass heater build. Several people have asked "When are you making part 2?" I've been a little vague about answering that, because something came up. Start at 2:50, note my comment...

That is what came up. Yes, we will finish the RM heater eventually, but it is taking a back seat while we build a geothermal aquaponics dome! We got the final OK to start construction today, and I just can't wait until it is built to share the news!

When I moved here, it was with the intent of going back to the farm to live come spring. By the time spring came, this amazing opportunity began to unfold: The owners of this hot spring want to partner with us, several of the residents of this community plus the serious gardeners in town all want to help. This is not a group of survivalists or preppers hunkering down or bunkering up, it is not a church or a charity or some kind of government grant, it is a group of neighbors, working together to use our resources to to benefit us all.
I want to say a word about my landlord & lady - they are amazing people. They understand the importance of using and not abusing what nature has to offer, they went out on a limb to gain ownership of that spring, and they WANT it to benefit as many people as possible.
Oh, and this is not a commune, it is a community. They are not doing this to be any kind of "leaders" - they expect rent, they want to generate income, they just see the wisdom in communities working together and pooling resources... and they brought the pool!

Occasionally, I see someone here say they are ready to make a "new start" - looking for Galt's Gulch. I'd like to invite anyone who is curious what is possible to bring the RV, come spend a week, the summer, or maybe the rest of your life, who knows? This is an amazing place to be, and this summer we are hoping to pull off a small miracle: By winter, we hope to supply food banks in these two depressed counties with all the fresh produce they need. We hope to get aquaponics systems in every church, school and food bank that is willing. The Way is opening before us... it is humbling and exhilarating all at once. First, we have to build it. Want to come? Seriously, come spend your vacation here if this calls to you... First beer and hot soak are on me!

Looks great, fishy!

It's wonderful that your neighbors have come together like that.

You found the trowel!

Nice job. Something like that would go great on the deck. Me needs to do some thinkin'.

Tell us more about your role in the partnership!

This sounds exciting! How do y'all plan on using the hot springs...to heat the geothermal dome which will house plants and fish year around?

Where can we follow along?

Thanks for this post!

It IS exciting!

We will heat the dome and fish tank with it, and we are working on plans to to make electricity, the "nitinol engine" is what we are looking into right now.
We will build the dome and get the AP up and running, there are 2 other couples here who will help run it for rights to get food for their family, and we get to do whatever we want with the rest for the first two years. After two years, we will either sell them the dome or we will rent the space. That should buy us enough time to get the dome on our property fully operational.
I'll be making videos and posting them to IdahoAquaponics.com, amommamust youtube channel, and probably here.
Thanks for asking! I'm about to jump out of my skin I am so excited about this!
