Cruz 2016?

What do you guys think?

Freshman senator Ted Cruz is considering a presidential run, according to his friends and confidants.

Cruz won’t talk about it publicly, and even privately he’s cagey about revealing too much of his thought process or intentions. But his interest is undeniable.

I'm a big Cruz supporter

but not against Rand.

This article is bullshit imo. Cruz is part of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Part of his goals are to get as many GOP fired up to get the Senate majority in 2014. A lot of tea party, conservatives and liberty minded republicans were really excited to see him win.

He's out and about fundraising across the nation not only for himself but to get new conservative candidates that can win out there.

And he's so popular he's getting dozens of speaking engagements. It's not surprising he's flying across the nation to get out the enthusiasm.

He won't squash the news because it allows the retard liberals to continue to fume.

Does this man look like the next president of the United States?

No.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Not sold on Cruz

While he positions himself as something of a rebel, I was very disappointed how he eagerly carried out dirty work against Secretary of State nominee Chuck Hagel on behalf of AIPAC and the rest of the Israel lobby.

While I sincerely appreciate many of the stands Cruz has taken, including his support of Rand Paul's filibuster, there's no way I could vote for him for president if he's going to be part of the GOP crowd that proclaims "there should be no distance between the United States and our dear friend, Israel," and pushes neo-con foreign policy stances with Iran and other Middle East countries.

Dont see how it's possible

He was born in Canada to an American mother, his father was a foreign national. If he was born on a US Military base or in US Embassy that would be different, but I can't see that he was.

This is NRO splitting the liberty vote

If they can propup Cruz and convince him to run in the primaries against Rand then they have a shot at getting another RINO the nomination. This is what they did/do every election, they try and make sure the evangelicals figth the liberty folks so that the "moderate" can coast to the nomination. Don't buy into it, Cruz is not natural born under any definition of the phrase, and this will sure ly be "discovered" by NR at the last moment if the liberty movement did coalesce around him instaed of Rand. He is the perfect stalking horse, he has all the right qualities to take votes from Rand, and he comes with a convenient built-in self destruct button just in case he should accidentally be in real danger of beating a RINO for the nomination.
