My 6 year old even gets it !

I was so proud today ! At school my son learned all about MLK and his dream. They asked the children to write down their dream. My son Brendan said it is my dream to have Ron Paul to be President so we can be free !

Funny thing happened

My 8yr old 3rd grade daughter saw that I was on DP. She asked who RP was and why I wanted him to be President. I explained that RP was a former Dr that became a congress man. I also explained that he had studied how money really works and that most politicians never had. Okay so that didn't intrest her at all. So then she asked what he would do if he was president. Here comes the money shot. I told her that he doesn't want to do anything. She said and I quote "that is a really stupid reason to be President". I then explained to her that all the people that promise to do all of these things for everybody are going to cause her to work no less than four months a year to pay for the money that we are spending today and she said..."well that sucks". We got into a real deep discussion about how the government works and were the money comes from. She now wishes that she could vote so that she could vote for Dr Paul so that she doesn't have to work for four or more months to pay for stuff later that we want now.

I can't wait until my two little kids are old enough so that I can start passing on everything I've learnt over the past 17 years regarding the ideas of freedom, libertarianism, capitalism, Austrian Economics and the like.

I read somewhere once that seven and eight year olds have the most open minds of anybody, and that they are ripe to learn ideas like those that Dr. Paul espouses (couched in a kid friendly way of course). Unfortunately, we're all too busy having our money stolen from us by the Government to teach our kids properly, and they are trapped in the poison pit that is the state sponsored education system.

Unfortunately, by the time they are ten years old it's too late, and by the time they've been through high school, their minds have been "warped and locked-in" by our rulers, and that is why we have so hard a time finding and converting people to Ron Paul's message. We have 15+ years of mind-control and conditioning to overcome.

Wouldn't it be great if someone could design some kind of Ron Paul inspired home study course for kids? Maybe one exists out there? Maybe I'll have to write it myself? I for one will fight to the last to ensure my kids have at least the freedoms I have.

We Ron Paul supporters must be doing something right and are having an impact out there in the real world, because even my wife is starting to get it (veryyyyyy slowlyyyyyyy), and she's Canadian, socialist leaning, unionised and an elementary school teacher. Today she was even interested to learn my understanding of why the stock market is tanking (I've been warning her for the last 18 months and she's never listened to me before).
