Gov of Kansas: Federal Agents May be Shot attempting to enforce gun control

Finally some common sense from Kansas. What part of "shall not be infringed" is not clear? http://libertyfirewall.com/2013/05/05/kansas-federal-agents-...

If this is true, I can hardly wait for the showdown.

Ever seen what happens to a car with a broken window in a bad neighborhood? Kansas citizens will back the governor and local law enforcement will shred the "alphabet agents".

It will be interesting to see how the commanders of the Kansas National Guard and Air National Guard respond to this. My advice to the governor would be to be prepared to seize the assets and arrest the board members of the Kansas City Federal Reserve. However, to do this, he would need the cooperation of the governor of Missouri.

What in the HE|| does the supreme court have to do with this?

*WE* delegated powers to the government which *WE* created. The government, the supreme court [creature] can NOT restrict our natural born rights. The supreme court offers *opinions*, which can NOT oppose or alter the Constitution. If they attempt to do so, they may be impeached and removed:

It is time to *learn*, people. When you do not stand for your natural born rights and instead wait for opinions/decisions of others to make them for you, that is when Liberty dies.

Tom Woods thoughts

We just had Tom Woods speak to our Young Americans for Liberty chapters the week this passed (We also had Texas' own Cody Wilson, the gentleman who has 3D printed the first working firearm).

Tom, was beside himself, stating "this is likely one of the strongest nullification bills ever to pass a State legislator." We would LOVE to see Tom champion the fight in his town of Topeka so send him your encouragement.

There has subsequently been a challenge from Eric Holder and a rebuff by Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach and Governor Sam Brownback, with very strong words held by all parties.

This is big news and needs to be spread far and wide.
In addition the two 2nd Amendment bills passed:
-Will allow students to conceal carry on all public campus' statewide if the security requirements for public buildings is not met by 2017.
-Will protect all ammunition and firearms produced in the state to from federal regulation.
-A lesser known knife bill which extends many of these rights as well to knives.

Don't mess with Kansas!

This doesn't get interesting

This doesn't get interesting until this law goes to the supreme court and the supreme court rules in favor of itself (the feds). Then we will see if Kansas is serious about standing up to Washington.

beyond Amicus Brief, if this actually does go to SCOTUS,

hope to God, Kansas Governor and AG's office let Tom Woods come on board.

1. He LITERALLY WROTE THE BOOK on Nullification.

2. Where statist bowel-'movement' liberals are concerned, he attended the only Ivy League School that matters: Harvard. Oh yeah, and the 'other' Ivy: Columbia.D

3. Tom is a Kansas resident, so he literally has legal standing as it affects him directly.

4. He's Tom Woods: the most lovable assertive academic/educational entrepreneur in the whole wide world! .o)

I don't see the part in article about where they "may be shot"

did I miss something or is the headline hyperbole?

Release the Sandy Hook video.

Force of law means firearms

If we are to take this at face value, we must assume Kansas will enforce it's laws using law enforcement officers.

Kansas may choose to watch their citizens be violated, maimed or killed by federal employees, but I think it's fair to assume they will do the right thing - defend their citizens.

That means federal agents violating their oaths to the Constitution in favor of loyalty to their masters will be dealt with like any other criminal.

Any violence that results from federal employees resisting arrest in Kansas is the fault of the criminal agent(s).

Its all contrived to make Brownback appear Tea Party, he's NOT!

Notice how the Whitehouse is playing into it to put Brownback at Obama's level.

This is all an establishment act since Rubio failed in their previous role-play.

Rand Paul will find a way to trump this fake christian idiot and steal his press too.

.

My memory is fuzzy

but isn't Brownback the guy who went on some anti-video game crusade a few years ago? Or was that Orrin Hatch? Ugh I get all these crooks mixed up at times.

A signature used to be here!

Don't worry, Brownback won't run for President ever again.

Brownback can win handily in the Red State of Kansas but he by no means has what it takes in prime time.

Have you forgotten about his attempt in 2008.

He didn't even make it to the Iowa primary.

Most Kansans see this as a result of the hard work of flipping the House and Senate of its most establishment "Republicans". This was purely a legislative victory. Though the Governor is an ally on this issue.

Fast and Furious

Holder obviously believes only Mexican drug cartels have a right to keep and bear arms.
Kansas has responded with its own "fast and furious" legislation to protect Second Amendment rights.

Good post and question

deserves a bump
