"Operation A Team" Undercovers pose as teens in local high school- 19 arrested

I really hate the thought of kids doing drugs, but I can't support this kind of "sting" operation. I live in Poway. In general the kids here are great. Virtually no gang activity or vandalism, etc. going on.

I work for the State. A two year long "sting" was conducted in my department concerning employees selling licenses for bribes. The FBI arrested four people from another office and one from my office had gone on vacation and never returned prior to the arrests.

While the investigation continued, I hated the way I felt. Distrust of all customers and anyone who spoke to you friendly and polite. Didn't even trust co-workers I've known for years. I carried a key chain recording device at all times. I was ready to call the sheriff on any FBI prick who might offer me a bribe.

I would think this kind of operation could screw with these high schoolers' heads as well. Teaching them not to trust anyone.

Why on earth would someone still have their kids in

. . . a government school? How far in the sand would you have to have your head? Yeesh.

great ;)

Same thing happened here

this past December. Twenty-two students at our three high schools were arrested as the result of an undercover "student" sting. One boy that was arrested was autistic. The cop hounded the kid at school and sent over 50 text messages asking for drugs. The boy was finally able to find half a joint to give his new friend. The police held him and the others for three days until their arraignment without letting them see their parents.

"It's not a specific group using these drugs. It's everybody."

Unbelievable. Just like during Alcohol Prohibition, they majority of the population is allowing a minority psychopaths and idiots to control us. It would be outrageous if a small minority was being oppressed by the majority, but this is a situation IN WHICH THE MINORITY IS OPPRESSING THE MAJORITY. We are like the full grown elephant who is tied to a post by a weak chain because we were intimidated by our weakness and fear of the guards as pups.

What the fuck? I estimate that 75% of people I interacted with between the ages of 16 and 27 (thousands of personalities) drank underage, smoked weed, took amphetamine, took ecstasy or a derivative (molly) or did some other drug offense at some point.

The fear people of openly carrying in DC is nothing compared to the fear people have to speak out against the insanity of the War on Drugs.

This happend in a local high school in 1985

I know of a couple people that were busted. I actually met the narc. Looking back, it was evident that she was a bit older it seemed...but kids that age are naive. She was pretty and won the trust of many. It was unfathomable that one would go to great lengths to bust some school kids. In the end, IMO, she did no good for anyone. She busted some kids whom where just experimenting and forging their post adolescence stage. I know many that have done just that and turned out to be awesome productive people. IMO, she ruined quite a few people's lives. A breach of trust that tainted their view upon their fellow man.
Education and love is the key, not underhanded actions that ruin people's lives. I find it rather disgusting...the lack of understanding.

In the early 90's,

we had all kinds of youth mythology about baby-faced narcs possibly being among us. I think there were some TV shows that had some.

Appreciate your post. I was gonna post this tonight, but you beat me to it. I literally live across the street from one of these 4 schools. Couldn't believe hearing this, everyone who is talking about it around here are cheering on the "undercover" operation. It is REALLY annoying. When I try to explain why this is wrong, I'm made out to look like an idiot or heroin junkie. I know they only arrested 19 people, but we all know there are 100 others that were "involved" that are red-flagged and now being watched. Its sad and annoying that our money would be spent on this type of operation. I don't have a kid, but I certainly don't feel safer if that is what they were going for....

P.S. CalGal, good to know another DailyPauler in North County!

You've been here a month and a half

You ain't no DailyPauler. Good to know you too, troll. Sorry, but like I said... I don't trust folks who are too friendly and polite.

Hope I'm wrong.

are you kidding?

that was so mean :( he was so excited to find another liberty lover in his area. you totally killed his joy.

Sweet Jesus

Just for the future. What exactly did I say so wrong? I apologize if I said something bad. Just because I couldn't afford a subscription doesn't mean I haven't been following the site or RP. Jeez and right when I thought you were someone cool in my county.......You seriously bummed me out

I apologize

for the paranoid rant. You said nothing wrong. Sorry to bum you out.

don't worry

you said NOTHING wrong. her reaction was totally and completely uncalled for. she must be a really, really unhappy person and she just doesn't want anyone else to be happy either. don't let it get you down!!

Wow, lady.

Take your meds.

Somebody offers you kind words and you viciously attack them?

WTF is the matter with you?

Like I said

I hope I'm wrong. Just got a feeling. Peace brother.

you just totally tore him down. for no reason at all. you owe him a huge apology. he was just happy to find someone in his area who loves liberty.

Damn, imagine the haul they would get

if someone dressed and acted as a BANKER, and did this on Wall Street.

no way man!

that would actually mean that we're living in a fair universe, let alone a 'free country!' lol...er.. .o(

I sooooooooooo miss the day when Americans regularly greeted each other with "Hey, it's a free country!" and meant it, because it was relatively, true, at the time.

I am sure that in some

I am sure that in some schools, they would end up arresting half the students there.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.
