A Soldier's Not So Subtle Attempt to Ignite Brushfires Within the HerdSubmitted by MikeFWT210 on Mon, 05/06/2013 - 02:19
This weekend at drill during one of our recall formations we got informed that Soldiers will now be able to be expedited through TSA's screening process at Denver International. All that is required is a Military ID.
Well that's kind of cool... but the thing is, I do NOT fly at all. I am participating in my own personal boycott of airlines, until "Security Theater" no longer entails groping and molestation.
I'm lucky I didn't get in trouble when we were told about this. Lately I have had a "No Fear" attitude, and speaking my mind regardless of who is around. Not the smartest idea, but hey... God gave me a voice and I intend on using it.
Everybody was whispering "Oh cool", "Nice!" or some other comments along those lines. When the noise died down, I spoke up and said, "Yea, but what about everyone else who isn't in the military? Do they still have to get molested by TSA agents when they go through the screening process?"
Dead silence, but for a few snickers... Perhaps I got away with it because we are "in the reserves" after all.
Here's to hoping I planted a seed in a few minds.
