I changed my name on the DP!

Hey you guys, this formerly was GO LIBERTY 2012. But ever since Proud American First posted his video about Muslims, I formerly decided to come out.

You guys don't know how much y'all mean to me. Words cannot express all the gratitude and thanks I give to all of you wonderful, tolerant liberty lovers. I used to be hesitant about being in the liberty movement for my religious beliefs, but it is clear to me now that you guys accept me for who I am and what I think, and Nobody can value that more than me in these rough times!

I have learned nearly EVERYTHING I KNOW about libertarianism from this site. Before this site, I was just an apathetic, laid back teen. Now I read Rothbard, Hazlitt, and Bastiat LIKE A BOSS (and I'm still pretty chill(:).

But nonetheless, I feel that the scourge of hatred and fear mongering is spreading even to libertarians, as what apparently is the top libertarian site, personalliberty.com, derided Islam as a cult and spread the Neo-Con myths further, and all the comments continually deride Islam as well, which horrifies me.

So, it is my personal goal not only to dispel the myths of Islam in a non-proselytizing manner, but to also spread the inherent libertarian virtues of Islam to uninformed Muslims.

So, if you don't mind, could you please help me with some suggestions on how I could spread both the truth about Islam and its libertarian principles?

Also add me on twitter at TheLibertarianMuslim

Thank you very much my brothers and sisters in liberty!

Peace and Love

The Government of Syria may have done that...

...And the original intentions of the people may have simply been that way, but when $80 billion in arms are being given to Saudi Arabia all of a sudden, when they are openly funding the rebels, it must make you think to yourself that, if Saydi Arabia is so restrictive and oppressive (they are the bane of Islam in my humble opinion) that they will go so far to restrict religious liberties and civil rights as to prevent women from driving and arrest people for "insulting" Islam or public figures, and that they are the chief funders of the rebels, then the rebels therefore CLEARLY ARE NOT ON THE SIDE OF LIBERTY.

Gee, I almost sound like an anti-muslim zealot right now. Go contrarianism!

Each case has its own context to it

Why is it that Syria has broken into extremist violence and not Bahrain? I do believe that it is the "Islamist Spring," using Islamism in the sense that the MSM coins it. I personally find that insulting however, considering that as a Muslim, I must therefore be an Islamist, so it kind of rattles me in the sense that it puts us all into the same category. The consequences of blowback are letting fascists take power under the guise of being unified under the banner of Islam and it surely is a goddamn disgrace! Ignorance and apathy prevailed in the middle east, and when promised "freedom, security, and peace" everyone silently consented to the terrorists' train of abused hurled upon them. It almost seems perfectly described by V's speech n V fo Vendetta when he took the TV station over.

Because

You are open about your Muslim Faith, I want to know.. what kind of Muslim? Do you follow Farrakhan?

I'm studying the Arab Spring, and I see much propeganda from all sides.

The rebels call themselves FREEDOM FIGHTERS. What they say about the governent is much the same what Liberty movementers who are not in the GOP have to say about the government in America.

The difference to me seems the rebels in Syria want freedom from Sharia Law and oppression and more western technology, which is why American intel is accused of participating in the Springs.. but I believe it is genuine want of Western Technology. Also the majority of Muslin is Sunni, not Shia (as is the government, a minority, that has always looked to Islan first,, broke with Egypt who had thei own Sping and now women are free to wear bikinis on the beaches...

I am a Sunni Muslim

I do not follow Farrakhan, as he is a member of the Nation of Islam, which is a heretical offshoot of Isllamic principles... basically just a Black comeback for what was then perceived as white Christianity. The rebels are by no means freedom fighters, at least for the most part. They reject peace offerings mediated by the same precious UN they seek to use to annihilate their enemies, while promoting oppressive and supremacist ideologies of themselves over ALL NON-MUSLIMS. They have desecrated sacred Christian monastaries and kidnap, maim and murder them on a regular basis. Does that sound like libertarianism to you?

Leader of the NoI

It is difficult to lesten to LF because he is so long winded.. 3 hour long speaches, but he makes very good and valid points, if you can get past the hate and cultural barriers. LF works hard to recruit in the prison system, and because there is so much injustice, especially when it comes to war on drugs, victimless crimes so to speak, which the American Black population has been subjected and oppressed by, Christinty has failed to serve those in prison.. as the government in one way or another attacks Christians, Catholic Church has a huge shortage of preists because of government policies that chose to replace what non-profit religious did gratis for people/community.. the government wants to do that instead..

So because the injustice system had so many Black Americans not being served spiritually, the communion was natural between inmates, and how NOI advanced inside and outside prison in the USA.

Since 911.. Americasn have woken up to the Mid East, Islam, and entered a whole new world.. many finding communion.. many are young people, seeking foundation to build a life.

When I was young, I joined many religions, never Islam, despite Cat Steven's conversion.. I went Hindu, until they arranged a marriage for me. I discovered that I was too westernized to actually be Hindu. And some may find that about Islan or not, because it seems, many don't KNOW.. and don't FEEL a need.. just as Catholic Church is global and no Catholic can KNOW, or even feel a need to know everuything about the Catholic Church.. being in communion with community os good enough.

I respect that.

I have met Muslim's throughout the decades and learned a little about holidays and food (always starts there for me), but I have never been to a Mosque, while I enjoy being with women.. Hindus also segregate men and women, and I'm too westernized. So if Allah has as issue.. I'm sorry.. I LOVE God.. LOVE my Catholic Church, nno matter what the MSM says.. and I respect those who feel that way about their religion.. and why I ask you..

I don't expect MSM to be telling the whole truth, or you, but I'm curious.. could be you never even gave the Syrian issue much thought.

I don't see the rebeals as part of the UN.. I see Assad as part of the UN and why so much postering from the world nations about the situation.. Yes, the UN wants to destroy sovreign nations.. that it why a small cult of Shia would win an election with 97%, living in a state of 80% sunni, 10% Isaeli.. and many Syrians appreciate Israel.. that goes for palestine too.. they LOVE the technology and freedom. The Shia do not.. so to me, the UN needs to UPSET people, and they do it by giving us presidents like Obama and Assad..

And as I'm watching all this,, and making comparisons, looking at the propeganda.. the terms used.. and so many false flags.. what the war torn areas and people look like.. when I place this "map" over America.. I am concerned.. because there is so much confusion, mis-dis-information, HATE, spite, vengence, FEAR, the USA and Israel both under constant attack so Americans hate both..

I hate what it happening, I don't understand what it happening enough to HATE ISA, Israel, Syria, Islam.. I am not happy with the UN on many levels.. they meddle and make more damage than good.

Israel just attacked a shipment of rockets from Iran to the Syrian Government. The Syian Government has killed 70K (mostly Sunni Muslims) and displaced over 1 million people, (nearly 600K people living in Syia were refuges from Palestine and almost half a million from Iran, both escaping the regimes because they do not tolerate Israel-American sympathizers, appeasers, supporters.

The rebels have terminated 9K Syrian troops.

I think the whole chemical weapns is a red herring by the UN to continue to meddle.

To me, the people being removed are no differnt than Ron Paul supporters who wave signs for FREEDOM, LIBERTY, and this concerns me, because I think MSM YouTube "conspiracy theory created to control people" would be the targets here in the USA.

For decades, the Israelis have cried "The world hates us".. now, I see Islam associates, such a LF say the same thing.

I find it interesting adn why I ask you about it.

This is a very interesting discussion!

I'm glad to be able to share it with you... another great attribute of this brilliant site!

Anyways, it's very interesting to note your perspective on religion, and I never knew that Hindus keep females segregated from men. It's an Islamic practice during prayers and sermons to keep women from being viewed by unsavory men with wandering eyes. Lol

As for the issue on Syria, I don't know all the facts. Syria's rebels indeed are not part of the UN, but they are virtually represented through the Arab League and frequently call for action from the UN through various methods ranging from sanctions to all out intervention. Assad has been rejected and insulted by the UN as a barbaric, tyrannical ruler. Only Russia is, relatively speaking, objective in its treatment even though they too are standing for the opposition more and more so everyday. Meanwhile the Assad Government is oppressive and rigs elections, yes, and that is how the Alawite Shia minority took control over the majority Sunni population. But they are secular Ba'athists not ruling by Sharia Law. They shunned Arab nationalism decades ago, so their only natural allies just happened to be the Shia, "Sharia Law" governed Iran, which is a common cause of misconceptions.

To clarify, I am not supportive of any sides and hold a moderate view on the issue whereby I believe the Syrian Government is oppressive and the Syrians have a natural right to revolution that is fully justified at this point, but, rebels are being manipulated an brainwashed with hatred, and are being pawns for power hungry fascists just like throughout the world: The "Islamist Spring" continues forth!

So?

Are you an American, and what can you tell me about that? Does nation make a difference of how Muslim one is? Does race?

I'm sorry but I don't get what you are saying

What does my being American have to do with this? Nationality never interferes with faith, but it was only through the freedom in this country that I could learn about libertarianism. And race is not a matter, as one of the earliest Muslims was a former African slave, whom the Muslim Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) blessed as one of his closest disciples, and warned against discriminating. It was through Malcolm X's experience at Mecca that he left the NoI and became a Sunni respecting all equally.

Your experience

As an American Catholic, I find myself in Mass with people who come from all over the world, many languages, and customs.. matter of fact, so many places have Roman Catholic names, San Diego, San Fran, Sacramento.. Our lady of Quadalupe is Queen of the Americans, where Lady of Lourdes or Fatima.. our saints.. all these carry very profound meanings and stories, so it's an amazing adventure unfolds between us in the communion.

I don't know much about American Musloms, as most I've met have been from other nations, or American Black men.. not women. All the women I have met but a few in class that we didn't talk too much about religion.. as I said, food and holidays.. Most everything I know is basically MSM, YouTube, Farakhan (an American Muslim who gets little respect in the USA or outside the USA, though he has a nation that seems very devote.). but I don't know,, and that is what I'm saying by asking you questions. If you were offended, I apologise.

My sur name came to the USA on a slave ship in 1607 from the Slave Coast in Africa as an indentured slave, when he was 2 years old. He was white, and his master came to love him very much, made a plaque for him expressing that when he freed him at age 35. Freed him to starve. Black slaves became more valuable than white slaves, so white slaves were sent to do work that gave little hope to a long or comfortable life. On my Mothers side, her grandfather came to America, he disembarked, was forced to sign papers to join the military and was deployed to fight in the civil war..

Maybe because I grew up in the military, rank is what matters not race or religion, so I always had black friends growing up.. in one school I went to, someone said, "One of the problems America has is that every Black person in America knows a Muslim, and most likely has a family member who's Muslim, but white people don't know any Muslims." I think this is true especially after 911, which ended a lot of turban wearing at gas stations.

However, I would not like for you to share anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, so please accept my apology if I have offended you.

Peace be with you.

No I'm not angry at all!

Don't worry about that... we're almost like a second family here!

I just didn't understand how your question was relevant to the discussion.

I didn't even consider that

I never thought you would be angry, I was concerned that I would offend you in my ignorance about what is an American Muslim.

I tried to explain to you that for me, understanding your experience helps me put my own experiences in perspective. If you are not an American Muslim, as many of the Muslims I met when I was in college, who were born into Islam, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iran (Persia, which I have met more Jewish Persians.. sems many people don't know that Iran has the second largest Jewish population.. Syria is 10%, which is more than America's Japanese population by comparison).

I think experience is relevant to a disscussion and I was asking what you're is. I don't understand how you think your experience is not relevant to something personal (at least here in the USA where religion is a choice for many, not all, people are still born into religion and that effort is being challanged as spiritual rape).

I checked out the links in your signature and to be honest, I think you're a nice person, but you don't do a very good job getting people off the Neocon "drivel (condescending terms may work for liberals, but it does not work for conservatives. Muslim's being conservative, if I was to post, "AND GET OFF THE UN AGEDNA DRIVEL ABOUT ISRAELIS://goonwatch would that work for you?
