During the depression

my dad said a sandwich was to pieces of bread and a tomato in between.
I got a feeling that this this time there will be no bread or tomato.

Did someone say depression?

When the United States stopped backing dollars with gold in 1968, the nature of money changed. All previous constraints on money and credit creation were removed and a new economic paradigm took shape. Economic growth ceased to be driven by capital accumulation and investment as it had been since before the Industrial Revolution. Instead, credit creation and consumption began to drive the economic dynamic. In The New Depression: The Breakdown of the Paper Money Economy, Richard Duncan introduces an analytical framework, The Quantity Theory of Credit, that explains all aspects of the calamity now unfolding: its causes, the rationale for the government's policy response to the crisis, what is likely to happen next, and how those developments will affect asset prices and investment portfolios.

Here's a quattuordecker if you were really hungry.

Or more likely, a "party sandwich" meant to be shared.

He thinks you have seen The Matrix

but not everyone has seen The Matrix.

Maybe he shouldn't be so short-tempered, regardless.

Maybe he's had a bad day.

LOL... Ya got me!

I glanced at the forum topics. The eye saw the title for what it was, while the mind was reading something else. Let's see... CNN satellite interview, Nightly jam session, Sanford wins back seat... I clicked on the post about Mark Sanford and was just about to start reading, when--- Wait! Did that say sandwich?

But it was funny. It's not that everything was resolved by a second glance. I looked and said to myself, well wadda ya know. Yes, it does say "jam sandwich." Except, I didn't pronounce it as I usually would, "jam SAND-wich." I guess with the mind still trying to cling to its original belief, that it was the usual...time for my nightly "jam session" post... it came out, "JAM sandwich," as in, Okay, guys, let take a break and eat! For a nanosecond I was so-o confused.

P.S. I feel sorry for anyone who saw this post and isn't somewhere where he can make one. Mmm. That JAM sandwich was so good.

Uhhh

No explanation?

No train to Stockholm.

O-kay. If you need an explanation.

I'll try by way of this New Yorker cartoon I saw years ago. As I recall it:

In a doctor's office, a man is sitting on the examining table. On the wall, the doctor has posted an x-ray. The doctor says, "I'm sorry to tell you this, Mr. Bell. But you don't have a funny bone."

It was a joke, my friend, just a little play on words. But my humble apologies if you didn't get it because you aren't familiar with the post whose title was the inspiration! If that's the case... http://www.dailypaul.com/270001/time-for-my-nightly-jam-session

That looks amazing!

Big +1 from me. Do you like music with your jam sandwich? Because I know where you can take care of that.
