Marco Rubio Sides with McCain and Lindsey, 'America a Battlefield'

Senator Marco Rubio has officially cast his lot with McCain and Lindsey Graham in pushing the notion that “America is a battelfied.” Here are some particularly creepy excerpts from National Review:

If we’re not even willing to characterize the war as a war, or the threat as a threat, how can we ensure that we will win this battle? If, instead, we want to see every act of terror in the United States as some isolated case, disconnected from a broader effort — as administration officials are now spinning Boston — we’re doing a disservice to the American people.

Across the globe, we’ve seen the results of his approach: an America disengaged, failing to lead, unwilling to tackle tough challenges, while others, who often do not share our values, fill the void. We’ve gone from being a country with a decades-long record of shaping world events, the guarantor of peace and stability, to being, in many cases, a mere bystander to world events, lagging behind others.

[Fire up the printing press! So is Rubio moving beyond being just "the world's policeman" to being the world's "guarantor of peace and stability?" O, and 'thank you China for all those loans!']

I guess he just ...

...crossed the "Rubio-con".

The hell it's a battlefield!

Pretty funny. YAL's Facebook page shared this story today and added Paul's quote:

If our country is now a war zone, what’s left? …The hell it’s a battlefield, this is our country! - Senator Rand Paul, 13-hr filibuster

Essentially saying: "we must guarantee peace through fighting war anywhere and everywhere."

In other words, true Orwellian DoubleSpeak.

Rubio went full neocon a longtime ago.

This action just reiterates that conscience choice to be on the dark side.

Like it or not

He'll probably be the 2016 GOP representative (at least if TPTB can control it). Him or Jeb.

ah, yes, the white man's burden

I guess some people's souls never grow up. Peace and stability for all! What, you are opposed to that? What are you, some kind of hater of peace? You must really hate peace if you don't support these wars.
