The "Crisis Actors" Website

"Trained Players and Actors Making It Real"

"Given the autonomy of the actors' characters in a storyline, the story composer is additionally faced with numerous critical problems: how can the composer prevent the actor from taking actions in the imagined world that will move the story in a completely unforeseen direction, or from taking actions that will derail the storyline entirely?"

Active Shooter Crisis Actors Target Mall Shootings via Visionbox

DENVER, CO, October 31, 2012 -- A new group of actors is now available nationwide for active shooter drills and mall shooting full-scale exercises, announced Visionbox, Denver's leading professional actors studio.

Visionbox Crisis Actors are trained in criminal and victim behavior, and bring intense realism to simulated mass casualty incidents in public places.

Visionbox Crisis Actors can also play the role of citizens calling 911 or mall management, or posting comments on social media websites.

During the exercise, the producers use two-way radio to co-direct the Crisis Actors team from the mall dispatch center and at actors’ locations.

Within this framework, the exercise can test....their joint ability to respond to the media and information posted on the Internet.

Security camera footage is edited for after-action reports and future training.

Visionbox is a project of the Colorado Nonprofit Development Center. Crisis Actors is a project of the Colorado Safety Task Force established by Colorado State Senator Steve King.

The photos at the bottom of the website are very disturbing, please use caution if you're easily grossed out.

After reading this website, I thought people here at the Daily Paul would be interested to see it.

I'm not drawing a parallel to anything here, I'm simply pointing out the fact that, "Crisis Actors," do exist.

At the least

Its an organization to suck up federal funds in overly elaborate training exercises for federal agents in overly elaborate scenarios to suck up more federal dollars. They use Hollywood technology and tactics to add realism to these training exercises.

Who hires these people? The federal government, it seems, is the biggest client. Regular people have to go to movies, and pay for tickets. The government gets to play action hero. The media occasionally releases the "drama of the week", and the advertisers get rich.

I am wondering who they hired for this one.

Seems another angle to suck money from the populace.

Just open the box and see

I don't like the fact that we

I don't like the fact that we are paying for these crisis actors via taxpayer money. They are essentially de facto contracted government employees. They are actors, and they are given a script to follow...just like people in the military follow orders, they have a boss, they are told what to do, and they receive a government check.

That really muddy's the once clear water. This is very new.

Most people have no idea that the government employs crisis actors...maybe 1 out of 10 Americans are aware of that fact at most.

And that's why I posted this. We need to draw more attention to the fact that our government pays actors with American tax dollars to act like....what?

That's a problem, because we don't know!

Resist the temptation to feed the trolls.

our entire gubbermint is

staffed with these pecadillos, save a few !

Good research, well documented.
I do find it rather peculiar that the ONLY KNOWN Crisis Actor Agency just happens to be Created by a Senator....non profit? This bears closer scrutiny .

The silence is deafening, so I bumped myself. I couldn't take it anymore...

I apologize. I self bumped because I think this subject is very important and doesn't get enough attention.

Any comments? Anyone?

I thought the most interesting part about the website

Was the news videos from "real" events like the theater shooting and sandy hook shown on the side. Too bad we can't watch those as when you try to click on them it prompts for you to sign in, but you can't join unless you have an invitation number.
