Glenn Greenwald Schools Bill Maher on Benghazi, US ME Bombing, and Religion

This was so nice to see. Glenn gets a lot of fantastic points out in a very short amount of time. It's almost as if he knew once he started speaking truth, they'd try and cut him off. Awesome job Glenn!

Blowback

The responsibility for the embassy attack rests solely on those who perpetrated the attack. The way the talking heads are spinning it, if you had just woke up from a coma, you might come to the conclusion that Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama killed Ambassador Stevens. The responsibility is solely on those who committed the attack. It doesn't matter how inept this administration is. The attackers should be identified and brought to justice.

When you look up this incident on Wikipedia, there is source material indicating that a team defied orders and dispatched, rescuing up to 20 embassy personnel. Some of this rescue team died. If true, why are we not giving these brave people, including survivors, a medal? Instead, our public officials are talking to graveyards.

What the administration did before and after the attack has become political cannon fodder, but it's not relevant to preventing the attacks from happening again. What would be relevant would be to examine the motivations of the attackers and why we are going around the world trying to control the political climate of entire regions.

If this money is going to be spent at all, there is a good case that this money can be spent in our own backyard where we can bring in new form of manufacturing, innovation, and bring jobs back to this country.

There should be an independent investigation of our foreign policy and not what the Secretary of State or President said a day after an embassy was wiped off the map. The reality is that it never should have happened to begin with and could have easily been prevented.

All the talking in the world won't bring back the lives lost. Put a giant wall around all our embassies, and someday, someone will still knock it down. The answer to the equation is why do you need a wall to begin with.

How is it...

that this ultra-liberal, ill-informed, isreal-loving, propaganda spewer have a platform from which to spread his sick, twisted view of the the world? Can't somebody 'work' on his car's brakes? This a-hole despriately needs to go away.

"Let's move on, I'm bored", was a weak deflection by Maher

Just when Greenwald had built his summary of the events to a crescendo that Maher didn't want to hear, Bill awkwardly pulls the conversation to only what he wanted to keep the subject range to. Maher kept asking what the big deal is in Benghazi, but when Glen served it to his audience too plainly, he stepped outside of Maher's narrow boundaries.

Maher's audience didn't boo Greenwald; probably because they were aware of the facts he was reporting; but sadly, they did cheer when B.M. dumped the airing of Glen's full take on the subject. He said, in essence, that Greenwald's answers didn't have high enough excitement or entertainment value to be worthy of his further attention. Maher then swerved back onto some smaller aspects of the story, hoping that by diverting attention there, he could cover his failure to respond to Greenwald's accounting of essential facts. Pitiful, eh?

Nice to see Maher get put in his place & on his own show.

His show is a disgrace.

I can't believe I used to like Mahr

He seemed reasonable and pragmatic at one time. When I watched this, his credibility tanked with me, big time.

I'd like to suggest a new strategy for Mr. Mahr. It's called,"using the Constitution to destroy your opponents." It will feed the ego, and its pretty unamerican to argue in favor of abolishing it or to call it anachronistic.

Better figure this one out quick Mahr, or you might find your ratings suffering even more decline.

he changed when he gave Obama 1 million for re-election

then he was vested. Now he has to "rationalize" and "justify" that decision. Now he is a Democrat.

These talking heads in the

These talking heads in the media are all the same. Party over principles. When their guy is in power, you defend their actions as justified by the ends. When the other team is in power, you decry their actions as crimes against human rights.

This man, who chastised Dick Cheney and Bush for years, sat there with a straight face and said it was no big deal that the President of the United States lied to the American people for a week about the motivation behind an attack that killed 4 Americans, and ended by saying he was "over it".

Bill Maher is a joke.

It seems pretty clear to me

It seems pretty clear to me that Maher is for defending the mainstream democrat position no matter what that might actually be.

Yeah, you clearly don't watch

Yeah, you clearly don't watch his show.

That is the difference I see from the pundits on either side. Guys like Limbaugh, Hannity, and Scarborough parrot the Republican talking points 100%. O'reilly deviates slightly and Beck is 50/50. On the left, there are those like that crazy guy on MSNBC and Olbermann who are strong Democrats, but people like Maher and Maddow call out the Democrats with high frequency.

Painful.

Maher really went to bat for Western religion there and certainly not in a good way. Never thought I'd see that.

Can't take this guy seriously. He's all over the map.

Good for Glenn for that awkward exchange.

BRAVO, Glenn!!

Its always hard to figure out where Bill Maher is coming from. One thing is for certain...Maher's EGO is the most important to him, at the end of the day.

Glenn knocked it out of the park in the end of the interview.

Bill Maher sounds like a disinformation agent these days. Where is his appeal to REASON? Its disgusting that HBO still pays him to spew out that garbage.

But regardless...the winner in this argument...was Glenn Greenwald, no doubt.

Time to INVESTIGATE the investigators of 9/11. PROSECUTE the prosecutors. EXPOSE the cover-up.

Doesnt Mahr hate Christianity and all religion

yet now he seems to support when comparing it to shiri law.

What a hypocrite. I hate that smug face.

also the woman who claims our revolution wasnt that great because of slavery is an idiot. the other two dudes totally destroy both their arguments

This should be spread far and wide!

Greenwald did SERIOUS damage to both the fake left cover AND the MSM in general. Excellent job!

Backed up everything he said with facts and reason as well.

The Liberty movement has come a long way exposing the CREEPS since this:

I think history will show the 2008 primary as the shot heard around the world for liberty.

Didn't Maher make a movie blaming Religion

for all wars and the reason why our world is messed up...
why is he arguing with Greenwald and suggesting Christianity and Judaism has killed people recently????

Greenwald did a fantastic job!

great point

hypocrisy of bill maher knows no bounds.

When I saw this on IA's page

When I saw this on IA's page on facebook, I noticed something 'encouraging', Glenn actually got a relatively size-able amount of cheers for his 'arguments' made. Maher only really got one or two other than when he was 'crackin a joke'.

Honestly...

I thought Maher was a revolutionary during the Bush era. It turns out, he's just another P.O.S. system of control.

Notice how he steers the message towards the direction he wants it to go then passes the message to the Panel to respond. And as usual 2 out of 3 members of the panel are suppose to support his arguments while the 3rd panel doesn't even get a chance to speak.

However, Maher and the producers miscalculated about Greenwald. It turns out not every liberal is a partisan hack. So once Maher is confronted, he says "I'm bored with it, lets move on".

Looks like Greenwald won't be coming back as a Panel anymore.

If you watch his show, Maher

If you watch his show, Maher typically has three "political" guests and two non-political guests. The most typical format for the "political" guests is two "liberals" and one "conservative", often that is swapped. Rarely, three of one kind.

the black chic is an idiot

she can't be helped. As for mahr, he learned his lesson when he got booted from his last horrible show...and he too is an idiot. Greenwald speaketh the truth.

She is no chic...

She is however a fat middle aged lady with a poor taste in jewelry who is mouthing off like a typical partisan hack about the fake Republican vs Democrats.
