I helped Adam Kokesh promote a march last year...

This is a video of Adam introducing me - and my speech at the "Ron Paul is the choice of the troops" event that was held on Presidents Day, 2012.

I won't be promoting his march or marching with him this year. I was taught by my father to never throw the first punch, and to never give an impression that I intended to. It's a lesson that has served me well in my personal life, business and in politics. The timing is all wrong on the march Adam Kokesh is planning this time around in my opinion.

When would I march with Adam locked and loaded? When they have taken the 1st Amendment from us and/or are going door to door in working on taking the 2nd, and not a moment before. I also believe there are far more effective ways to advance liberty while we still have the 1st and 2nd Amendments than marching and getting arrested.

I recommend doing something positive to advance liberty while we still can. There are plenty of great organizations, candidates, ballot initiatives and media projects to support that could use your help.

Here's a few of them http://www.jagtv.com/#!the-network/c1mi2 - http://www.bluerepublican.org/ - http://americanlibertyassociation.com/ - http://www.superbrochure.com/ - http://pacliberty.com/ - http://www.graystatemovie.com/ - http://www.rlc.org/ - http://thesparkfilm.com/ - http://www.steveberkeformayor.com/home.php - http://tenthamendmentcenter.com/ - http://www.wagthis.org/

Zak is an Oath Keeper

Is he a member of Oathkeepers? I'm curious what Steward Rhodes opinion of the march is...

Thank You Zak

..you've certainly been "around-the-block" so to speak, and we've all noticed the chronicles of your experiences to know one thing:

I only disagree with one thing though....

My uncle taught me to always throw the first punch, and that has served me quite well in many a "skirmish" of the physical sort.

Served me quite well.....especially when "they" weren't expecting it!

Thanks Again Zak.
Everybody Else: BUMP THIS!

P.S. Have We Forgotten?...

...How Adam "bailed" on the "Veterans March on RNC/TAMPA"?

How quickly many here have forgotten.
How easily that many unaware (newbies) are manipulated.

I don't remember the details

I think Ron Paul kind of disassociated himself w/ Adam (and I know Adam was upset at it). But even if Adam did bail on that march, we have to have some respect for his passion to stand up and speak his mind and to have the willingness to take action. Now maybe that action is ill-conceived (it may or may not be - I am not wise enough to say) but at least give him credit for having that passion to "want to do right" (even if in the bigger picture it turned out to be "wrong").

I don't think anyone should attempt to shame him for not marching in the RNC. How about showing the guy a little respect? He did fight for our country in the marines. Now, again, in retrospect he might no longer believe that what he did was the right thing. But, again, the man had enough courage and conviction to risk his life for what he thought was right.

I hope that if he decides between now and July 4th that it would be wiser to not march that he doesn't feel compelled to just because he made a public statement that he would. I think it takes an even bigger man to follow your conscience (even if you end up contradicting yourself). That is not to say that his march is (or isn't) good (or bad), by the way. Again, I don't know.

Yet You Question Zak's Intentions

...and claim to "forget" what happened to the RNC March.
Check the DP "archives" it's there....yes THE FACTS!
Zak's "Credentials" are just as impressive as Adam's.
So don't cut Zak short...you've been around here long enough to not be playing dumb.
Finally...Please stop the hero worship "thingy".

i think you're mistaken. adam didn't bail, he was stood up.

he marched and fed the veterans instead.

Sez You...

..and if your memory serves you well...do you NOT remember the many veterans posting here @ the DP, who REALLY WANTED to march!!?

They were "left-in-the-lurch" by Adam who SUDDENLY ANNOUNCED that the march was cancelled.....(was it because of a "hissy-fit" with Jason?)...and veterans were asking for someone to step into the lead on this.

I was at the Fla State Fairgrounds, USF, Ybor City(along the proposed route) and downtown Tampa.....IT DID NOT HAPPEN...ADAM was AWOL!

Don't you remember that?...the only marching done was into RT's studios and his Adam vs The Man Show.

I wasn't there, but a close friend of mine walked with him and a

small group to serve veterans lunch. most of the ron paul supporters wanted nothing to do with him or his march. i kinda felt sorry for him, it was so pitiful.
