Obama Loses D.C.

The town is turning on President Obama – and this is very bad news for this White House.

Republicans have waited five years for the moment to put the screws to Obama – and they have one-third of all congressional committees on the case now. Establishment Democrats, never big fans of this president to begin with, are starting to speak out. And reporters are tripping over themselves to condemn lies, bullying and shadiness in the Obama administration.

Watch for a "wag the dog" scenario

They're turning on the scandal tap at full force and I think it could be because they are gearing up for a major bombing campaign somewhere. There's never a shortage of scandal in government but when they are reported by every major news outlet as the big story(ies) then it usually results in a new war. Watch for it.

This won't be earth shattering

This guy has too many fan boys even if some turn.

He is Teflon, If you criticize him you are a racist and that stigma is still around. They want the legacy of the 1st black president to be great and unblemished. WE all know that isn't going to happen, but they are going to keep trying.

This is good though if the press can get a little adversarial we should welcome it.

Wake me up when NBC nightly news runs the war on wistle blowers documentary trailer.

Otherwise I am going to keep snoozing until they figure out how f'd they are under the Affordable Care Act.

Even the hard core democratic stations are turning on O

I caught NECN today & they blasted him for the AP & IRS scandals.

But not Benghazi?

But not Benghazi?

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

No,

but hell froze over the way is was.

Bullshit

this isn't an election year. They'll have their hard-ons back after the summer at the latest.

I'm hoping that Congress will

I'm hoping that Congress will be in full impeachment mode by summer, with many democrats on board.

Take your pick of scandals...Benghazigate, IRSgate, Media Tapgate?

What's the biggest lie of them all?

Which of the 3 "gates," will lead to impeachment?

I'd pick Benghazi, because Americans died and Obama tried to blame it on a video when in reality the situation was far different from what we were told. They lied.

Why?

The Federal Reserve technically doesn't have to speak a word to the US Congress because it is a privately owned, multinational business.

The IRS is kind of in the same category...unfortunately.

IRS Won’t Say If It Will Comply With Congressional Demand

Want to get Obama impeached?

Bark up the Benghazi tree.

Notice how Benghazi has taken a back seat compared to the IRS and AP Tapping stories?

Makes me wonder...

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

IRS is not analogous

I know where you're going with this - but the IRS is actually a government agency (even if there is also an IRS corporation, there is still a govt agency). It DOES have to answer to Congress, the Fed on the other hand, only as much as TPTB agree to it. Even there, should there ever be political will to force it, how does the Fed exist without the federal government? It doesn't...so there is some accountability there even.

What Agency?

Congress didn't create the Internal Revenue Service! Some guy at the Treasury did in the 1953!

...on July 9, 1953, the Secretary of the Treasury, G.M. Humphery, by "virtue of the authority vested in me", changed the name of the Bureau of Internal Revenue, B.I.R. to Internal Revenue Service when he signed what is now Treasury Order 150-06. This was an obvious attempt to legitimize the Bureau of Internal Revenue. Without the Approval of Congress or the President, Humphrey, without any legal and LAWFUL authority, tried to turn a pure trust into an agency of the Department of the Treasury. His actions were illegal and unlawful but went unchallenged. Did he change the name of the B.I.R. in Puerto Rico or the B.I.R. in the Philippines? WE CANNOT FIND THE ANSWER.

Congress created the "Office of Commissioner of Internal Revenue (Created by an act of Congress, July 1, 1862)", but never the office from which he'd administer.

The IRS is as unConstitutional as all the other BS bureaucracies.

splitting hairs

It then is an agency that exists under the department of the treasury.

How about "F&F gate"?

That one is just as legit (though not getting press)

Eric Holder got a slap on the hand,

wasn't that enough? How about Kathy at HHS setting up a fund raising group to promote Obamacare. Is that getting any press? The list is getting longer.
