Lol! My partner is leaving

in June to do this for the third time. He is only 71 years young. Will be on a BMW R1200GS. I've done the lower 48 in 48 days but my next adventure will be this one. Last year did 3300 miles in 3.5 days. Quite a ride.

I read the Buddy Holly piece and had to comment

"But the owners, unaware of who these young lads were, treated them dismissively; the owner of the Harley dealer practically pushed them out the door".
The Harley Davidson dealers still treat people that way! How things change, how they remain the same.

The only reason that company is still around is thanks to the Federal Reserve that funneled 2 billion dollars to them.

Familiar with 'Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance?'

Reading it again. This time I vow to finish it.

It is reminiscences by a man on a motorcycle tour with his young son, remembering the time before he went insane trying to figure out the definition of 'quality'.

Fits in a saddlebag, thick enough to use for a pillow...

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

This is very cool...

I posted this last week...it's still awsome!
