Some of These Conspiracy Theories Make Us All Look Crazy and Discredit the Movement

Whenever a widely publicized tragedy takes over the news media, within hours people claiming to be libertarians or Ron Paul supporters start making batshit crazy accusations. These people automatically assume that every event is a grand conspiracy that entire cities, competing media outlets, victims, suspects, and police are all a part of, or 'in on'. The same people think that anyone interviewed as a witness or victim of an event is an actor and that their injuries can't be real. These people show little to no empathy for those affected by tragic events ironically exploiting these tragedies to further their own various agendas.

These people are becoming a problem because their near insane assumptions being pushed on liberty oriented websites only helps discredit the movement and promote the popular idea that all libertarians are insane drug addicted cave dwelling weirdos who just want to smoke pot and stick it to the man. Libertarians have been repeatedly discredited over and over without any help of their own, so why do some Libertarians insist on making it easy to discredit the movement?

You all have convinced me that Agenda 21 and a looming New World Order is a real conspiracy. I've also learned much of real 'false flag' events and the roles of certain Government agencies in these events. While I do believe in conspiracies, I refuse to believe that these events are made in hollywood like some of you seem to think. Yes; Towers did fall in New York on 9-11, A plane did hit the Pentagon, bombs did blow off a Boston man's legs, and Rand Paul is not an illuminati shill out to destroy the movement.

When someone says things like the aforementioned comments I support the moderators in removing it. I don't see the moderators removing the insane "Boston victims are actors" threads any different from kicking a crazy cat lady off of your front porch. She shows up causing trouble and being unpleasant on your property so you kick her off your porch. What's wrong with that? I'm tired of having to read these relentless actor threads followed by a bunch of whining about "being censored by the man" complaints. Guess what guys, no one is forcing you to stay on the DP, you're welcome to relocate to abovetopsecret.com whenever you like.

Have a great day
Peace

...and

...why is it the creepy troll posts that get us fired up? Let's support some of those boring "conspiracy fact" posters too!

Participate in America's future- Research Ron Paul- Truth will Prevail! You too, will be proud one day, to be able to say: "I was a Ron Paul supporter."

the anti-*people who question the official story* threads--

follow a consistent pattern. Usually they use words like "crazy" and "discredit"--

there is almost always a reference to the lack of sanity of those who post with questions, and there is almost always a guilt-inducing reference to how such questions will 'hurt' liberty.

I haven't downvoted this thread, and I won't.

But I think that, if there are people who 'discredit' the liberty movement by asking questions, and if they go too far (who decides how far anyway, when things don't add up?)--

there is as much danger to liberty from those who want people to be silent--

about their honest questions.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Not Questions.

Accusations without evidence. "Questioning" is bunk and I think you must know it.

No, I don't know it--

I haven't accused anyone either. 9/11, for example. I have listened to youtubes and read countless essays about it. I still don't know who 'did' it--

I just don't accept the official story. I have never accepted the official story. I don't have MSM, and I am one of the few people in the world who wasn't glued to the television the day it happened.

I didn't even find out about it until later, and the emotion with which I was met, and the shock that people displayed when I said I hadn't heard about it--

showed me how manipulative the MSM was--

I still do not know what happened, but I read about it all the time, still, trying to make sense of it. I don't have answers, just questions.

No bunk--

Don't patronize me. "I think you must know it."

I have never accused anyone. I have wondered about a lot of different things, but I have never accused anyone. Not even the CIA; not even George Bush; not even Cheney.

But I refuse to accept the 'official'/MSM/government-sanitized version of what happened that day---

I remain highly skeptical.

I am going to add something here. It is extremely difficult, almost impossible, to get 'evidence'. Official dossiers hold the evidence. The evidence is certainly not available to me--

nor to anyone else I know.

So, this is a very good way of keeping someone from finding the truth.

You say that accusing without evidence is unscrupulous, and yet evidence is simply not to be obtained by non-official Americans.

Catch 22, wouldn't you say? Good way to keep people from questioning--

You have all the might on the side of not discussing these things--

Evidence has been made unattainable (I didn't say that you did that; it just has been)--

and then well-meaning people tell others they can't 'accuse' without evidence--

Stifle thought. Or debate--

End of discussion.

No more questions.

Because there can't be any proven answers. And that is well enough known.

You don't need to be the person keeping the evidence from regular 'citizens' like myself; all you have to do is say, "don't accuse without evidence", and the person asking the questions and possibly putting forth ideas of who might have been involved . . . has been efficiently manacled--

In the meantime, I refuse to accept the official story, and I keep listening to youtubes and reading essays--

I liked what the architects and engineers had to say, but then I have those in my family, and they had the same ideas, before the outspoken ones spoke out--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

To the OP of this thread

It is also interesting to note that your thread currently has 26 down votes. All of your posts on your thread have some number of down votes.

Most of us on the DP are all about freedom of speech, even if that speech is unpopular. What's ironic is that the reason your thread is so unpopular is because it is calling for restrictions on freedom of speech.

I'll say it again. You need to rethink a few things.

Free speech vs property rights

Is the owner not allowed to kick collectivists and progressives off the site for attacking Ron Paul or Libertarian beliefs and pushing their bullshit??? How is kicking off the people who push the "Boston victims were all crisis actors/Nobody died on 9/11" any different?

Do you have the right to yell fire in a crowded theater? How about the right to make threats?

Private property is a foundation to freedom. You and your crises actor troll army refuse to respect the owner of this website's private property.

So what's more important, private property or free speech? Can I invite 1000 Obama supporters for a collectivist protest rally on your lawn? Or would you have the right to kick us out?

I so agree.

This conspiracy stuff gives fodder to all the people, such as my brother, who liked Ron Paul but thought most of his supporters were nuts.

your brother was not wise to judge a man by "most" of . . .

his supporters.

Most?

OP, you said ...

... "I'm tired of having to read these relentless actor threads ..."

Well, there's your problem, Bubba.

You don't *HAVE TO* do jack.

Get over yourself. Move on. Read what you want and ignore the rest.

Seriously, is it THAT damn hard to do that you have to write a novel bit**ing about it?

Stupid conspiracy posts are why I don't tell serious republicans

about this website. I mentioned that this was one of my favorite sites for good info on the web to a prominent GOP member once and I've been labled as crazy ever since.

Now they think I'm theorizing even when I talk about sound money and the federal reserve.

I'd like to be able to invite regular people to liberty oriented information without them having to see "9/11 FILMED IN HOLLYWOOD STUDIO" "SECRET SERVICE ARE ACTUALLY ALIENS" or "NOBODY ACTUALLY DIED IN BOSTON, AURORA, OR SANDY HOOK".

People are already working to discredit Libertarians as crazy. Insane actor posts only make it that much easier.

Is your goal to be irrelevant forever?

There's a reason Ron Paul want's nothing to do with the Libertarian Party anymore. Libertarian = New Republican

Do you want to be obscure and irrelevant? Or do you want to join Ron, Rand, Amash, Massie, Cruz, and the rest of the Libertarians in the GOP?

The individual who refuses to defend his rights when called by his Government, deserves to be a slave, and must be punished as an enemy of his country and friend to her foe. - Andrew Jackson

You're a Republican?

Go to Van Susteren's blog, Gretawire. You will be happier over there.

Topics: Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi
Obama not a citizen
I like Rand, but his father is a kook.
Fry all Muslims. Eradicate Muslims.
Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi
Lindsey Graham is right.
Obama is a homosexual.
Yes, close Gitmo, but execute all the prisoners first. I hope they all die from starvation.
And last, but not least, Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi

Well, here's the thing ...

... if you are trying to introduce a neocon to libertarian thinking, you don't send them to a BLOG where all sorts of anonymous people can post any damn thing they want.

Instead, you send them to a REGULATED thang ... like a BOOK ... or a website such as LewRockwell.com, or the new Ron Paul site, or some other site where the content is created by a FEW people who have interesting, well-thought out articles that just might make a neocon THINK.

Rockwell has guys like Thomas Sowell, a conservative, and Tom Woods, a libertarian, that can get neocons to start to re-think their views.

People who wind up on the Daily Paul are usually people who have already started to awaken and wind up here somehow because it kinda sorta makes sense to the newly-awakened person (or makes a lot of sense to those who have been awake for a long time and just didn't know this site existed).

That's how I do it.

The BIG thing people are forgetting in all these debates here is that the participants create 99% of the content, NOT the website owner or his assistants. For that reason -- AND THAT REASON ALONE -- there will be all sorts of ideas, articles, etc. thrown out.

It's like the Wild West. That's what I like about it, but it is getting less interesting lately.

OTOH, there have been some great articles posted here lately, too. Just introduce your neocon friends to other sites, and send them article links (original sources) that you see here. Once they start to come around (if they ever do), THEN they will be ready for the Wild West DP.

Thanks, Michael

I don't know. I want to believe in God

but I'm inching closer and closer to being, as another DP'er said, a stone cold agnostic.

I'm sort of a Deist, wannabe Christian, but probably more Agnostic.

I've struggled with the God question for a long time to be honest. I lack religious integrity.

I lost

my religion for a while. Once I understood that the Elite worship Molloch and other entertainment industry "Professionals" really worship the devil(s), then it became evident that he IS real, because they practice rituals that bring them "power".

Just think of the tiny sliver of oxygen we live in. There is probably not another sliver of oxygen in the entire universe we can use to survive anywhere else. In my own opinion, it is way way way too coincidental that we exist by chance.

Ron brought the Liberty movement together, Rand is expanding the crap out of it! :)

Spontaneous Order and The Cosmological Argument for God

http://www.dailypaul.com/276431/liberty-and-the-cosmological...

You might like that thread.

The cosmological argument is hard for me to deny. Our universe does appear to be designed with inherent symbols, or clues of God all around us. It is a fascinating subject that love to learn about.

If you're going to worry about what neocons, teaocons

If you're going to worry about what neocons, teaocons and other folks of that ilk think, you're going to need to get rid of at least 75% of the topics you see over there to the right. Then after you've done that, you'll have redstate.com which is where those types go, along with listening to Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilley etc.

This all of a sudden worrying about what the neighbors think is unbecoming of the DP.

No.7's picture

If they vote, then you should worry about them

Neocons vote, neocons might vote for Rand Paul, if our own people don't help the liberals discredit him.

The DP is "DEDICATED TO RESTORING CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA". This goal is all about worrying what the neighbors think and trying like hell to make them think the same way.

I fail to see how worrying about Lady Liberty's reputation is unbecoming of the DP.

Can't you see that those people are our target audience?

This thing is going down in the GOP whether you like it or not. That was Ron Paul's call, and that's what he told us to do. We're the new guys, we have to show respect and do the hard work first. We have to sway them towards our side. Ron and Rand are doing that, conspiracy wackos are discrediting their efforts.

I have a strong suspicion that most of you conspiracy nutjobs are a bunch of hipsters sitting in a starbucks and you're only mad because liberty is going mainstream so you want to make it seem as obscure as possible to scare away the 'mainstream conformists'. How about you hipsters go to some super local low key online forum that I've probably never heard of?

professionals from all walks of life don't buy the official news

There are people form all walks of life who are not buying what the MSM is selling anymore. When then they hear Paul Craig Roberts, Robert Gage, pilots etc point out the bunk and when the MSM and police change stories multiple times about major events no all of us don't believe the official story any more. (Btw, I work a 50 hour week.)

Vickie

It's interesting to note that as the MSM sources

It's interesting to note that as the MSM sources that the neocon and liberal "mainstream conformist" sheeple get their news from are tanking in ratings due to the fact that even those people see that those sources have no credibility, we have have some on here desiring the Daily Paul to become more mainstream-like to appeal to those very same people who have started to know better.

BTW I own my own business and am kind of on call 24/7 depending on various factors. This "hipster" Starbucks nonsense is as childish as the name calling.

Resist the temptation to feed the trolls.

Ron Paul was called a nutjob

Sorry, but you are all wrong and you and your type lose me and probably the people you seem to feel the need to impress with the childish name calling. Ron Paul was called a nutjob quite a bit by the same people that you seem to think are the future of the liberty movement. Those people were just fine when Bush was doing what Obama is doing now, and they would fine with Romney doing it too if he were in now.

You need to rethink what has and is going on and maybe go to redstate.com to do it.

Most republicans refer to Ron as Congress's "crazy uncle".

They actually like Rand for his ability to work with others and compromise though. Consequently Rand Paul leads almost all preliminary Presidential polls.

I don't care if you're going to vote for Gary Johnson over Rand because Rand is too mainstream for you. I'm sorry but that's just silly.

I've thought about this one a lot, look at my post history. I believe people need to hear about the big obvious conspiracies. Agenda 21, 9/11, JFK, chemtrails, and the New World Order. Those conspiracies are good talking points and help wake people up.

On the other hand, calling Rand Paul an illuminati shill and claiming that victims of terrorism are actors with fake injuries causes other to instantly discredit this entire site and everything on it. Scaring off newcomers is bad MmmmmKay????
