I Am Willing to Give Up some Perceived Notion of National Security for Retention of My Constitutional Rights

I comprehend the Arabic/English translation of the words "Al-Qaeda". Every time those words are spoken, I hear in my head, "The Base".

I'm sure the Arabic speaking people hear the same thing I do and laugh their asses off every time they hear those Arabic words too.

"The Base" doesn't own a single fighter jet or even an F-ing row boat.

I strongly wish that others would also aspire to do no harm unto others, then door locks could become passé without a law saying so.
I often ponder, can America today live up to the personal responsibility our founders knew was paramount to keeping it? Sadly, I doubt that most have the fortitude to first be accepting of their own responsibility to it before they go forth to hold others accountable for theirs.
