Master Beekeeper Reveals All About Colony Collapse Disorder

CCD WHAT IS IT? Colony Collapse Disorder (Or is it Chemical Contamination Disorder or Civilisation Collapse Disorder?) Over the past decade what has changed in the environment? It's about time you knew about what's being covered up and what's not being said by our governing bodies. Yes the bottom line is money. Our governing bodies see money to be more important than the earth that feeds us which allows all of us creatures to live and breathe.
A great book to arm yourself with is: A SPRING WITHOUT BEES (by Michael Schacker, forwarded by Bill McKibben). This book is not for the light-hearted. It will make you turn around and rethink what you thought you knew.

The links below will shock you! What has been going on in agriculture for the last 10 years and more. The ignorance towards the earth in the name of money. Two agricultural companies, Bayer and Monsanto, will try to make us believe they are doing what is right for us in this world, that they can feed the world and that we can't live without them. In reality they put money before all life.

This is the scariest part

This is the scariest part about genetic modification. There are very few ways, if any, to determine what effect new biomolecules introduced into the ecosystem will have on the different species that populate and sustain it.

A lot of people don't know about the inherent balance that exists between different flora and fauna in nature. Those people may be in for a quick, rude awakening.

The most dangerous aspect is yet to come. If the ecosystems start failing, we may have to to emergency measures. Something like introducing a self propagating strain of virus that makes the bees resistant. What new can of worms we might open in our time of despair is difficult to comprehend.

The hope is that, some resistance already exists in bees and this selective pressure simply leads to a new stable equilibrium. Are there species of bees that are resistant?

Here we can get a hint on what will happen in the future

when humans eat GMO's.

Some say there is no prove GMO's are killing bees

The chart you posted sure points the finger directly at the seed coating for GMO's, Imidacloprid. This is the case in all European countries, once Imidacloprid was outlawed the bees recovered within a year or two.

Thanks for the comment.

Thanks for posting Beeman!

I'm surprised they haven't come up with GM Bees like they did with the mosquitoes. Thank goodness they haven't.

This is still hard to digest for some who are ill educated on the subject of GMOs or refuse to research for themselves on the subject. Instead, they just accept what the good ol' arm of the government tells them, "It passed our tests, good for human consumption."

Bill McKibben is not

Bill McKibben is not credible...

“Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the government take care of him better take a closer look at the American Indian.” ― Henry Ford.

I guess you must know the man personally

to make that statement.

But then who cares if all his information is backed up. There are several EPA memorandums that prove everything on his website. just go to the website and download the memorandums and read for yourself. These are all free to get from the EPA's own website if you know where to look, and have the persistence to search for them.

The EPA knew very well that Imidacloprid was deadly to the bees, but hide the information from everyone.

Doesn't it bother you that you been eating poison when eating corn chips or drinking a soda, as well as most other processed foods.

Yes I do.

Yes I do. Know him or not, if you learn about him even a bit you will find his goals are political not environmental. He is a manipulator as so many others.

Further for you, my statement on McKibben's credibility does not relate to whether or not contaminants causing bee declines are true or untrue.

We must believe in data not persons if we are to make rational decisions. It is so sad so many of us do not yet understand this. Though, it is to be expected of a generation of children taught what to think and not how.

I have been saying for some

I have been saying for some time Monsanto and other biotech companies are the biggest threat to humanity right now that almost no one knows about or care about...

If we ever needed a Galts Gulch now is the time! Course these money hungry psychos may kill the planet anyway and it won't matter.

Bees are pretty fascinating. I had no clue that Bayer was in the agricultural industry. That explains a lot. I will be perusing your site for a while. You should put it in your signature.

I hope to be running my own self sufficient farm within ten years. Bees will be a part of it, along with almonds and apricots and aquaponics/permaculture for veggies and fish. And a chicken coop, as well as hunting deer. I don't like to eat much fish other than fresh tuna, and sometimes salmon, but I'm sure I can get some recipes for really good tasting dishes with fish.

I know I'll be working 12 hour days, but that's okay. The healthy food will make up for the hard work and the reward is good sleep (edit: and good nutrition). If I can't get my son to fly before then, he'll be joining me. It's my job to make sure he can live his own life. It's been challenging to say the least. Hormones are kicking in.

I don't think you could go wrong with veggies, fruits, nuts, berries, fish, and deer. I also have access to boar, which I have never eaten.

Thanks for the article.

Executive Summary: Mysterious case of bees & other species dying

Executive Summary: [Closing statement of forum link, 2013]
It doesn’t look great for mammals either. When the heads detach from
sperm, something is up. Because this [herbicide chemical] stuff is so pervasive in the environment, as food residues and in ground water, you may not have to actually eat the seeds. Read more: Bee Colony Collagse

Subject: ... Risk Assessment for Seed Treatment of Clothianidin on Corn and Canola [see Closing statement]

This compound is toxic to honey bees. The persistence of residues and the expression of clothianidin in nectar and pollen suggests the possibility of chronic toxic risk to honey bee larvae and the eventual stability of the hive. [Page 6, closing statement followed by Executive Summary]
