Yes, I have heard of the sunken city before. All along that area in particular is really old stuff. The area in and around India is rumored to have been the home of the Rama empire, which was similiar to Atlantis. Regardless of whether you believe or not, there is still some darned old stuff there. Another interesting thing is the pillar in India that never rusts. I believe its been found to be made of magnetite or something. Long story short, it was far more advanced for the time than it should have been.

Something even more incredible is that ancient scholars in India had somehow worked out the speed of light before anyone else. I was thoroughly skeptical about this claim when a teacher first mentioned it almost 8 years ago but it appears to be true...
