I would be sincerely

I would be sincerely supprised if Rand Paul even knew that Adam Kokesh was in jail right now, especially considering how busy he must be right now between all of the campaigning and the recent scandals.

surprised and disapointed

surprised and disapointed that he hasnt done so already, i dont even think hes given a passing mention eedit:that is, as far as i know edit: publicly

Absolutly..,,No.

Rand Paul has bigger fish to fry!!!!!

I think...

Rand needs to keep playing the game, get in the Presidency, then hire his dad as chief of staff...And unfortunately that means keeping distance from controversial HEROES like Adam Kokesh...Act #1 of the Rand Paul presidency...Pardon all non-violent drug offenders...(a man can dream)

Bad food, worse weather, please rEVOLution the states so I can bring my family back home!
Rosa Koire for for President!

I hear you but...

That is a hard rationalization for me to make, but perhaps the means will justify the end...

Thank you for the thoughts! Gamma Rat

No!

Rand is not the go-to guy for this.

PA Senators should be pressured to address this issue!

Also, New Mexico Senators can be pressured to address this issue since Kokesh is from NM. Lastly, Kokesh's Congressman from NM as well as the Congressman in Philly should also be pressured to address this issue. And maybe even pressure the Sheriff that has jurisdiction in Philly.

Nice call!

PA & MX Senators should be pressured... Great thought!

What about voices from the Liberty Movement? If there is to be a 'big/loud' one to speak up for Adam, who might that individual or those individuals be? Any call? Judge NAP? Ron Paul? Jessie V?

Thank you for the thoughts!

Kindly,

I would also suggest that it

I would also suggest that it be a national effort as this has become a federal issue (Kokesh was taken to a federal prison). So I think EVERYONE across the nation should contact PA and NM senators.

In terms of the liberty movement...I don't see it my place or anyone else's to volunteer someone in the liberty movement to step up. It's honestly up to him to step up, if he desires to step up.

You can also pressure the local media to cover this story and force journalists to ask questions/investigate.

UNITED we stand....DIVIDED we fall.

I know that phrase becomes a cliche at times...but it really is NOT a cliche because it is TRUE.

It would be nice if the Senator stepped in and tried to help Adam.

There are some Rand-bashers on here from one direction and there are some Adam-bashers from another direction.

I need to personally express my thanks to Adam Kokesh...even though I don't always agree with his tactics...as being the one that turned this ex-neocon, on to Ron Paul in October 2011.

For that I will be forever grateful to him...and Igave a couple hundred to his legal defense because I consider him a friend.

I really wish the good Senator would speak up on this unconstitutional OUTRAGE where the brownshirt Feds targeted Adam for his political beliefs....NOT because of any crime he committed...which he most certainly did not.

I stand with Rand....and I stand with Adam.

Time to INVESTIGATE the investigators of 9/11. PROSECUTE the prosecutors. EXPOSE the cover-up.

Thanks!

It is reassuring to hear others thinking on this matter. Kindly, Gamma Rat

He Should, but he won't

Rand doesn't like the fact that Adam's form of activism involves rocking the statist boat that Rand is riding on in his tip-toe-approach to changing this shitty system.

Rand won't mention it because the liberty movement is split, most clearly between the activists who beg for respect from the state, and those who demand it through bold activism, like Kokesh did.

Kokesh is a political libertarian prisoner, and should be a top priority of ANYONE who supports a society of non-violence and non-force.

I see it more like a 2

I see it more like a 2 pronged attack on the system. Instead of being one of the "there way isn't good enough" types, why don't you respect that differant individualists see differant strategies having better odds of working, and put their efforts into what they think will work. Is Rand right? Is Adam right? Who knows. We all have our theories. Personally, I want to see them both do their thing. If you can think of a third way, give it a try. Hit them from all sides at once.

But for your info, the infiltration method isn't about "getting respect from the state." Its about taking over the state and paralyzing them so they can't do any more damage, then stripping them down to the bone and shutting their asses down. In my district, we have taken over our GOP, shut them out, and are appointing an invidivualist for our state representitive position.

We don't give a @#$% if the neocons we tossed "respect" us. We stripped them of their political power because of what they did in the caucus. Now they are outnumbered and we control the board. Some of them joined us and vote with us, other's got frustrated and left. NONE of them think for even a moment that there is a damn thing they can do to stop us, and we don't suger coat it. Its our way or the highway now.

Like a gun, political power is a dangerous thing, and not owning any will not protect you from it. We'll take political power away from the collectivists as best we are able and by whatever means neccessary. You attack the system with activism. In the end, Individualism wins, Collectivism looses.

No !

Adam Kokesh Has Had Enough of "Ron Paul Inc."

Sitting backstage at the unofficial Ron Paul Festival at the Florida State Fairgounds in a tight “Liberty” t-shirt Kokesh tells me that’s all over.

"I am not a Ron Paul supporter anymore," said Kokesh while waiting for a band to go on.

http://reason.com/blog/2012/08/27/adam-kokesh-is-done-with-r...

"I support his message, love the man but there was a point that turned for me back in January and if anything I should have been more upfront about it sooner. I used to be able to say no matter how much money or support you invested in him he would use it as effectively as you would to forward the message, advance the cause. I can’t say that anymore," he said.

Kokesh referred to the Paul political organization as "Ron Paul Inc." and said he was attempting to transition over to "Rand Paul Inc.," something he is not thrilled about.

"I like Rand but he’s not one of us. He’s not a voluntaryist like his father."

....snip

According to various Paul fan sites Kokesh was banned from the official Paul campaign event at the Sun Dome.

...snip

Adam Kokesh:

"I feel like I am behind the curve of the movement. I had an unhealthy emotional attachment to the campaign, to the idea of the Ron Paul presidency and what he represented. I let it affect my decisions in a negative way," he said.

So....should Rand Paul address the situation?

No.

Why should he seeing as Adam has totally abandoned Ron Paul and Rand Paul and burned his political bridges?

I do not agree with everything Ron Paul and his son have ever said, but I still stand by them both. They have changed politics in America forever, and I look forward to supporting Rand in 2016.

Why Adam isn't on board is anyone's guess.

Adam Kokesh is not politically tactful in his approach.

Tact:

1. Acute sensitivity to what is proper and appropriate in dealing with others, including the ability to speak or act without offending. 2. The sense of touch.
3. sensitive mental or aesthetic perception
4. a keen sense of what to do or say in order to maintain good relations with others or avoid offense.

Adam Kokesh no longer supports Ron or Rand, two very tactful politicians who know how to get things done. Look at what they've accomplished! Rand is now the front runner for the GOP nomination in sweet '16! So why should Rand Paul give Adam Kokesh support?

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Adam Kokesh....was BANNED from the Ron Paul Rally at Tampa

Maybe...that is why he was having second thoughts.

Imagine...a man that spent many months going off about the merits of Ron Paul (including converting yours truly ex-neocon to the ideas of RP)...all of the sudden is banned by the threat of POLICE REMOVAL....from the Ron Paul Rally in Tampa.

I was there...both at the PaulFest and the Ron Paul Rally...and I was LIVID that (most likely Jesse Benton) had banned Adam's presence at the RP Rally.

Again...classic Hegelian divide and conquer....the neocons know it....will potentially destroy the Liberty Movement...from the inside out.

Let's hope not.

Kokesh

also backed up Rand when critics were acting stupid and targeting him for non sense things.

Principle?

But is there not an issue here that Rand should address no matter who the situation involves, or is it wait and see time? I am curious about this situation...

Kindly and thanks for the excellent thoughts! Gamma Rat

Principle vs. Politics.... On

Principle vs. Politics....

On principle alone, and in a perfect world of course yes. Rand Paul should address the matter, but it's really not a perfect world.

When it comes to politics, no way should Rand Paul address the matter. Adam's style is political kryptonite to, "mainstream," conservatives who actually vote and watch Fox News. It's not what Adam says, it's how he says it. I agree with a lot of what he says, but his approach and delivery need work if he wants to really mess with the big boys.

The worst political attribute is wearing your heart on your sleeves so your enemy can see it.

When in Rome...

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Who then?

Well if it is a matter of style/tact and politics, then who else might have the voice to cut through?

It sure seems like Adam and Co could use some support unless some new information comes to light that sways my current thinking.

Thanks for the thoughts! Kindly, Gamma Rat
