Drudge getting blasted for "promoting" Alex Jones

After Alex Jones Pushed Oklahoma "Weather Weapon" Theory, Drudge Continues To Promote Him
May 22, 2013 11:56 AM EDT ››› OLIVER WILLIS

Less than 24 hours after Alex Jones theorized that a "weather weapon" could have been used to cause the devastating Oklahoma tornado, conservative gossip Matt Drudge returned to his pattern of promoting the conspiracy theorist.

On May 21, Jones told a caller that the government has the ability to "create and steer groups of tornadoes" and that if people spotted helicopters and small aircraft "in and around the clouds, spraying and doing things" in Oklahoma, it could be evidence that a "weather weapon" was used.

Today Drudge prominently links to a story on Jones' website Infowars in the upper left hand corner of his site. The linked story claims that "armed Homeland Security guards" were "policing free speech" by appearing outside an IRS building in St. Louis during a Tea Party protest.

Media Matters lie

I for one think the Oklahoma Tornado was enhanced by chem trials and TTA's... Alex Jones does not believe this and never has said anything definite about it. It is true Alex had a ex Military woman on who was at Paulfest talking about chem trails, but he has NOT said Oklahoma was anything but tornado alley. They manipulate news and spread propaganda. The people who do promote this believe probably don't even know Alex Jones. This is where I got it....

Madcow should put down the liberal Crack Pipe

smoking all that Government is their god BS is fucking up your head.

BTW has anyone reviewed the UN's 1976 Weather Weapon treaty ?

Stopped me real quick.

I didn't click the link as they are an idiocracy news outlet.

I first started checking out Drudge every day because I heard Drudge mentioned a lot on the Alex Jones show. So who is driving internet traffic to who?

Interesting, I have been going to Drudge for over 10 years

and only heard about Alex Jones through this site.

Be aware Drudge completely ignored Ron Paul through the primaries and is responsible for the ramming of Mitt Romney down our throats during the primaries. Very frustrating.

He appears to be coming around but only time will tell on that.

Drudge did not ignore Ron

Drudge did not ignore Ron Paul bro...he gave Ron Paul a lot of attention during the primaries.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

egapele's picture

Yeah, guess you didn't go to Drudge the morning after

Ron drew a crowd of over 10,000 in California.

Well, I did, waiting to see how it would be covered. Mitt was only drawing a few hundred at a time then (and always would).

What did I see plastered across on the front page of Drudge? Not a picture of Mitt Romney but ... Ann Romney!

NEVER a mention of Ron Paul. He would mention Ron **WEEKS** apart.

Terrified Liberals

The liberals are clearly terrified of Alex Jones. Bulldyke Maddow had a hit-piece on him last night concerning this same thing. This is nothing compared to some of the other conspiracy theories he delves into. Unfortunately for them, AJ is right more than he is wrong. Moreover, weather modification is a mainstream field of science.

They are desperate to discredit him. It can't work given the nature of his program.

egapele's picture

Not so much the "liberals"

Ron Paul is actually quite liberal on social issues.

A more apt description, however ironic, is "freedom fighters." They don't fight FOR freedom, they fight freedom.

Although I haven't read the

Although I haven't read the comments by Jones nor this article from the leftist Media Matters, I'll comment about the aircraft and severe weather. First, helicopters are ALWAYS employed during severe weather as spotters. Secondly, the severe weather in Oklahoma was primarily the result of the energy injected into earth's upper atmosphere by FOUR X-class solar flares in the days preceding the tragedy in Oklahoma. The government likely has the ability to manipulate weather on a localized level so I wouldn't worry much about Alex's comments nor Drudge's promotion of Alex's comments. The latter individuals have the right to speak as part of the media whether the leftist Media Matters likes it or not.

Personally I think you should all

go listen to the entire broadcast. It's free on GCN Live. Then you can hear exactly what AJ said, and determine that Maddow is a liar in more ways than one.

The flak comes

when you are over the target.

media Matters: funded by George Soros ( Gyorgy Schwartz )

Has LESS reputation in truth than does Alex Jones. That us to say, that Media Matters is " talking point central " for the " socialist wing " of the Globalist World Government agenda, and anything they spew should be treated as if it were highly caustic acid capable of eating through Liberty in seconds.
Their agenda is converse to either Jones's or Drudges, they want our nation to lose its national identity and to be immersed in a world wide enslavement via the poverty socialism always gives to all BUT the elite, like Soros.
Their agenda is self centered, Jones and Drudge on the other hand have agendas for both themselves, to prosper, and us, to prosper as well.
Media matters is trash.

When ever the media attacks

When ever the media attacks AJ Drudge or others it just means they are hitting to close to home! It also draws more attention to what they are saying so really it is win win... As they say no publicity is bad publicity...

Absolutely untrue

So, if the media ignores something it "proves" their bias, and if they attack something it "proves" the opposite?

It must be wonderful living in such ignorant bliss.

My Sense Is...

... that many people here might say "ignoring" and "attacking" are rather two sides of the same bias coin, (instead of proving opposites). First they will try to ignore, and when that becomes too difficult for whatever reason, then they must attack. There some old axiom that goes something like that regarding "truth" -- that goes through the stages with the final one being victory. Maybe this attack stage signals progress in a rather inconvenient way. Just my opinion.

Read it again very slowly and then maybe it will come to you how retarded your comment is... Then again maybe not since it is beyond all reason and logic how you could come to your conclusion... Sigh!

Rachel Maddow went off on him about it last night on her show

She's starting to do lots of AJ segments now. Funny how they all used to love him when Bush was in office. I think she even called AJ a "Republican"!

egapele's picture

How ironic - it was Rachel Maddow

that would point out how much more sane Ron Paul sounded than the other Republican candidates in the primaries. She was the **only** one on MSM that would even dare mention his name. Anyone else remember?

In saying that, I am no fan of hers. In fact, I'm not exactly a fan of Drudge either because of the way he completely ignored Ron Paul during the primaries - he chose Mitt as his posterboy and I will forever be leary of Drudge for that.

"conspiracy theorists"

Rachel Maddow became famous thanks to a conspiracy theorist. It was the owner of Air America Radio who often wrote about 9/11, JFK, MLK, RFK as conspiracies plus other various 'fringe history' topics.

Even Air America itself was named after the CIA airline, so I think Maddow has way more in common with "conspiratorial" talk radio than she represents.

Here's her former boss calling out Bill Maher on 9/11-

Ever notice...

that Maddow constantly puts words in the mouths of her opposition? Jones NEVER SAID Sandy Hook and Newtown were fake, or that Boston never happened, or that OKC never happened??? I mean, THAT is bizarre. But she's done it to Ron and Rand too

Thats MSNBC journalism- now you dont just have to defend your own position, but the position that MSNBC SAID YOU TOOK. Just a couple weeks ago Maddow told her audience "Rand Paul objected to the entirety of the Civil Rights Act on my show", when he never said that. Just a blatant lie

Maddow is right

I didn't even watch the video but I know she's right. AJ is wrong about everything. We can fully trust the government.

I get it!!

Jones has been very very accurate.

kevink don't be silly. Someone might get the idea you like MSNBC lying to you.
