Derrel Walters is a Ph.D. level physical chemist by education. His interest in economics was spurred from intrigue for the 2012 presidential campaign of former Congressman Ron Paul who champions the principles of liberty. Upon learning more about the Austrian School of Economic Thought, it occurred to him that the logical deductions of the Austrians could very likely be shown true through the use of mathematical arguments. Since the lack of mathematical formalism seems to be one of the major obstacles for the acceptance of Austrian principles, the author hopes that this treatment may be built upon by future economists in order to create broader real-world practice of free market principles. It is the author’s opinion that long-term economic stability depends on the realization of these hopes.
