Ron Paul at the March For Life
Ron Paul spoke yesterday at the Annual March For Life in DC. My parents were there handing out literature. My dad writes: "Ron was on the podium and spoke to the crowd. Most people had never head of him. We gave out a lot of stuff to young people and maybe they will tell their parents."
And on top of that, Ron then shook hands with 'the crowd" and my father in law (who was also there and had my wife on the phone) shook his hand and handed him the phone and he spoke to my wife! I am so jealous! :-)
This is an aspect of Dr. Paul's platform that doesn't get, in my opinion, enough airplay. He is Pro-Life. Huckabee gets the most notice for this, but Dr. Paul is even stronger, since he can discuss the issue from a position of strength - he is an OB-GYN. I talked to a fellow Church-goer on Sunday about the primary races and asked who he was supporting and he said Huckabee due to his Pro-Life position. I asked this person if they knew about Ron Paul and Dr. Paul's position on the issue. He said "no" and I proceeded to educate him on Dr. Paul. Combine Dr. Paul's position on Life with his position on Freedom and the Economy and you have a real winner for the "traditional" GOP voters.
Go Ron Paul!
