Haters gonna hate

I've about had it with all the current topics surrounding Adam Kokesh! I understand that some folks think that he is just out for being an "attention whore" surrounding his recent arrest and now the nation-wide marches he is planning. Like seriously?? Most of you thought that he did nothing wrong and was wrongfully arrested and now that he's out and "beat the man" you accuse him of using it to...?(you fill in the blank)
Newsflash: HE WAS NOT RESISTING ARREST! You all seem to agree on that no?
And now, yes now that he is out and is able to do stuff again, some fear that he will make us/them/the movement look bad? Like people don't already think we are crazy when we talk to them about Ron Paul or liberty or freedom?
There was even discussion of carrying on the march WITHOUT Adam if necessary!
Fellow DPers, this isn't about just you or me or Adam or RP. It's a MOVEMENT and there is always going to be someone who will call us kooks, but without us "kooks", what will change?
That said, I stand with Adam and you naysayers just strengthen my resolve so thanks for that at least.
Forever a kook,

Cognitive Dissonance. People

Cognitive Dissonance.

People want to sit on the web and complain about things (armchair patriots), but when someone does something to try and change things they are the first to talk them down, because they feel guilty they are not doing it.

Personally, I liked Adam before, and I am all about him doing what he is doing now. He is a much bigger patriot than most people will give him credit for.

This site in general has changed a lot, for the bad. Seems to be transforming into the Red State. From posts that shout down anyone questioning their government, to posts that are simply "WE NEED TO STOP IMMAGRANTS THEY AR TAKEN RR JERBS". I have no idea whats going on with the DP.

It's easy to talk big from

It's easy to talk big from behind a monitor, when as soon as the opportunity presents itself to actually change something, these lot would prefer to tuck tail and run. Disappointing. Maybe they've already won.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 What has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.

Well then, Call me a "Kook," too! Here's to "the Crazy Ones!!!"

R3VOLution! FTW!

Ah an oldie but goodie!

Big smile, you made my night fellow kook! ;) hehe

What if Adam had a regiment

What if Adam had a regiment with plywood AR-15 cutouts to march with, ready in case the marchers are turned back at the bridge? The fully armed marchers can stay behind and wait for the first regiment to get back to meet them, and just in case anything bad happens. They can frame the march as a drill.

Government employees gonna

Government employees gonna hate their non-government employers. Almost everyone hates their boss, get over it.

I stand with ALL peaceful resistance and I encourage all the good folks in the liberty movement to stand with AK;

• cease paying fraudulent taxes
• close all accounts
• reject toxic food
• leave the Dimmwitcrats
• leave the Repugnantcan'ts
• demand paper ballots
• dissolve the Corporation on Presidential Debates
• dissolve Evil Incorporated
• reject / rescind / do not renew all government licenses
• reject all mainstream media
• reject pop culture
• call out liars publicly
• shame snitches
• ridicule authority

the time for liberty is now

I've been silent on this so

I've been silent on this so far, but if you listen to the video he says something to the effect of "make it hard for them, surround me, etc."

This seems almost like resisting arrest to me, but I agree that it would make a pretty poor case for the DA. To resist arrest using speech would violate your first amendment to free speech.

Anyhow, I don't think an armed march against the government is what we need. I'm firmly against such treason. We have our fellow citizen's ears, we don't need to marginalize ourselves as a bunch of treasonous whackos. Use the ballot box. Use your minds to influence others.

It is a rEVOLution, after all. We can achieve all of our goals by peaceful means.

Oh but these are PEACEFUL means...

I too had some reservations about this march, in that it could be seen as an "aggressive act" to anyone on the left side of the isle who sees guns as inherently violent.

But how can you demonstrate that responsible gun ownership IS non-violent without letting people see responsible gun owners walking about and being peaceful? As long as everyone is respectful and not pumped full of macho redneck bravado, I don't see how this is going to hurt or marginalize us.

And if people do continue to see peaceful gun owners as potential violent extremists, well that's their own ignorant fault, why should be be motivated by what the close minded think of us?

Look, the guy said that there

Look, the guy said that there is no point being peaceful, and has called it an armed revolt.

Sounds just like treason to me. If i was on a jury, id vote for the death penalty if he marched on my governor and started firing shots.

This is the danger of this march, it doesnt look good.

We are winning peacefully, and now you have this provocateur encouraging people to revolt against our own government.

Again: we are winning. We have the hearts and minds of the majority of Americans, and we have worked hard for 6 years, some of us even longer, peacefully to gain this advantage.

Dont be foolish and risk it all.

"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted."

Adam's comments sound like a declaration of war to me,

And Madison:

As treason may be committed against the United States, the authority of the United States ought to be enabled to punish it. But as new-fangled and artificial treasons have been the great engines by which violent factions, the natural offspring of free government, have usually wreaked their alternate malignity on each other, the convention have, with great judgment, opposed a barrier to this peculiar danger, by inserting a constitutional definition of the crime, fixing the proof necessary for conviction of it, and restraining the Congress, even in punishing it, from extending the consequences of guilt beyond the person of its author."

I'd rather be a "treasonous

I'd rather be a "treasonous whacko" like our Founding Fathers than a naive Tory.

My sixth great grandfather

My sixth great grandfather fought beside and saved general Washington's life.

Does that mean I am determined to stop anarchists from taking over my government? You are damn right it does.

But, let me be clear. Kokesh is no General Washington. Yes, Obama and Bush and the lot are treasonous traitors, but now we have exposed them. Our government was set up to allow for peaceful revolution from the people. There is no need for violence. Yet.

Follow Komrade Kokesh and his treasonous plan at your peril, i will stand firmly behind those that stop you from attacking our constitutional form of government using violent means. Peaceful revolution is the correct course at this time. Violence is not the answer. It may come to that at some point, but not now.

haters hate you and you hate haters

its a vicious circle.

now, now

"Don't be hatin'"

no worries only a vicious circle

I have no doubt they do. I try my best not to hate, but my blood was racing last night over the stuff I was reading, was about to explode if I didn't say something.

i hear ya!

same here :)

I agree with you..... and furthermore

I really am put off by Adam as I think he has psychological "needs" that make him very unreliable and volatile. I feel similarly about Jesse Ventura. HOWEVER......

We should be constantly vigilant about the PRINCIPLES of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It is the PRINCIPLES that we are trying to make "mainstream". Therefore, all of our arguments must revolve around those principles no matter WHO it is that has been wronged.

We must try to see beyond the individuals involved (whether we "like" them or not) and keep from idolizing or demonizing individuals. We must keep our eye on the ball.... that being the principles of liberty and be CONSISTENT in our insistence on these principles being upheld.

The "rule of law", or the principles of freedom need to apply at all times to all people..... even if those involved are, in our opinion, jerks.

Thomas Jefferson: “Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever."

Viva La Revolucion!

am i the only one that pretty

am i the only one that pretty much wholeheartedly agrees with the poster, EXCEPT for the cliche title, no offence, i really hate that term....yes, and as im typing this i realise the irony of hating the term haters gonna hate.....completly accidental, yet still stands, funny that!

You got

something against hating haters?

nope, just the term being so

nope, just the term being so overused that its lost its effectiveness to the point of, just a saying....im not knocking anyone, probably should have kept that in my inner voice

I was mocking

the supreme irony of hating haters.

ahhhhhhhhhhh! :)

ahhhhhhhhhhh!(lightbulb) :)

All that hate.

Ron brought the Liberty movement together, Rand is expanding the crap out of it! :)

haters gunna hate... there

haters gunna hate... there was no felony assault. If you dont believe in civil disobedience... then why are you even reading the DP.

I'm with YOU, D4L!

"Be always sure you're right then - THEN, GO AHEAD!"

Davy Crockett's motto and how he wanted to be remembered.

Let 'em know how you feel. Bust their little bubbles, if need be. Keep 'em honest!

AK and AJ (just like ecorob and D4L) will never be universally accepted but we will be right (most of the time) when it concerns liberty.

I liked your thread, "Haters gonna hate".

It reminds me of a quote by Charles Barkley. "Half of the people in the arena like me and half of them hate me. I can't change that. I've got to be me."

its 'cos I owe ya, my young friend...

Thank you ecorob

Indeed you speak truth as well! I was just at such a boiling point last night I had to just unleash, consequences be damned. I can't even BEGIN to say how much I've been mocked and ridiculed over the last 5 years and then to see all the criticism aimed at someone who believes in his heart he is doing a good thing...that just irks me to no end so I just had to come out and say it.

What are you fightin' for?

Nothing worse than a hater! I hate 'em.

Hate to point out the oxymoron in that statement...

Freedom is only for those with the guts to defend it!
