There are NO official numbers from Louisiana

Contrary to popular belief - there are no official numbers from Louisiana on the outcome of the Caucus.

Everything you have seen so far is just guessing

The Newspapers you are quoting use the words "appear"

Lew Rockwell's piece is just a guest blogger no different than whats on the dailypaul.

It looks like...

It looks like the only reporting they are going to do is of the number of uncommitted delegates elected in each of the Louisiana caucus districts. Those delegates will choose the Republican nominee at the state convention in early February.

They ARE NOT going announce a tally of who the elected delegates favor or support for the presidential nominee. Not until after the convention.

Is this news?

This is the only thing I could come up with: http://www.product-reviews.net/2008/01/23/positive-for-ron-p...
I told my husband last night the Louisiana primaries happened during the day, and he didn't believe me, because he hadn't seen or heard anything about it on the news.

Still nothing official

some added info on the caucus

Got some information that only Romney and Paul supporters had cheat sheets, so only they knew what slates to vote for.

Huckabee and the others did not - so they had no idea which slate was which. By default they could have guessed or if they were lucky or happened to get a Pro-Life/Conservative slate info then they could have voted that way. Just a note the Pro-Life/Conservative slate was represented in all areas in Louisiana - Ron Paul was!

Let It Be

We have another recourse in the backburner. One that they cannot touch.

These are the ballots

not the results

Chalcedonite - please note they are unofficial

Chalcedonite - please note they are unofficial results

You will note it says the pro life slate "appears" to have won.

They have to go back and make sure that those voting where eligible to vote - while anyone could walk in and vote - there was a certain date which they had to be registered, if not they are not counted.

These are still preliminary.

Is it just me?

Go to http://news.google.com and search for "louisiana caucus". I don't get any results. Am I the only one?

Try again

There seems to be all of the articles available that we've been seeing links for throughout the night : )

Overly emotional

Commenters on this site seem to be on an emotional roller coaster. There are so many emergency filled posts that I have had to start searching around the web for more emperical news sources. I love DailyPaul but somehow these emotions need to be harnessed in a more productive way.

Did you find one?

You make a good point. I often feel the same way.

Oh, gee thanks,

So, I'm idiotic? After wading through tons of carap about does Rush love us? or the naked guy?

My opinion on the La. fiasco is based on a credible newspaper story, a REGULAR and well regarded official blogger on LRC, and THIS:

Form a guy on the ground there.

Sounds like maybe HE's "alarmed"

Subject: [ronpaul-95] Caucus outcome and preservation of legal recourse.

Hello,

My name is John and I am the meetup coordinator for the Ronpaul-200 group out of New Orleans. In order to preserve our legal recourse with regards to the Caucus results we would like to have a restraining order filed to prevent the LAGOP from destroying both the original and provisional ballots.

Are there any lawyers in Baton Rouge who are members of this group that could accomplish this TODAY? If so, please contact me at 504-828-7567 and or/the law office of Michele Gaudin at 504-524 - 7727.

Doesn't the FEC require ballots, etc. to be held for 20 months?

I remember something like that from watching "Hacking Democracy". How in the world can they justify destroying ballots when the vote was just 24 hours prior?

islandflyer - there are NO official results

islandflyer - there are NO official results its says it right on the LAGOP home page. They have no idea who won - they have to make sure everyone that voted was elegible before a certain date.

Your repected Lew Rockwell blogger has no reference, and the newspaper article is getting thier info from the LAGOP.

Chill out

That's perfectly reasonable

and thanks for not calling me an idiot this time.

And I made no emergency calls. I merely said OUTRAGE which is what it is.

REGARDLESS of whether or not the provisionals will be counted etc. It's the ATTEMPT (which may work) by the other parties (conspiring, if I may use that word in lower case very softly) to rip RP off through the use of this Reagan stalking horse.

Patience is a Virtue...

... unfortunately half the people in here have none.

It's been said time and time again to relax, not jump to conclusions, don't be an alarmist, etc. We can all see that was not exactly fruitful. Still slipping on the same banana peel, I see.

To post or mention unfounded intelligence reports without solid verifying evidence and analysis is just as irresponsible as the media posting results before votes are even counted, or the Administration feeding false evidence to us.

It still looks encouraging in Louisiana

I'm glad the Lousianians were "head up" on their State's delegate selection, and hats off to the campaign for orchestrating, what could be, a real nice result. Is Ron Paul smart, or what?
